Greasy delicious butter burgers (get the deluxe for at least some semblance of vegetables), good custard / shakes / malts, the BUFFALO CHICKEN TENDERS, etc. Overall I am normally somewhat disappointed by their flavor of the days - they are mostly something you could create on your own with their available mix ins with a chocolate or vanilla base. I want that flavor to be more special, you know? The custard is not as good as one of the more "local" places around, but really it is so (some might say TOO) convenient. Lately though, the service has been sooooo slow at this location. I don't know if they are just short staffed or what, but around dinner time you can expect a 30-45 min wait for your food. I have tried to get around this by preordering online, which seems to help. But be wary if you are ordering during prime time without that.

I opted for the marina view with a black cup of coffee. They have a large variety of options between breakfast and lunch. I chose to have the crepes with berries and cream cheese filling which were light and delicious. The service was quick and efficient. I was able to customize my own coffee with milk and flavors of my choosing which I appreciated. With the outdoor seating I chose to enjoy the beautiful Saturday morning with the marina in the background and read some of my book between sips of coffee, and bites of crepes. I hope to head back north again soon, and will ensure that there is a stop here for breakfast as it is the perfect spot to begin the morning at.

It is only because of fans like you who care enough to contact us that the DQ brand and its independently owned and operated franchises can improve. Your comments have been documented and forwarded to the independent franchise owner of this restaurant for their information and investigation. Additionally, I have forwarded your concerns to all appropriate DQ personnel for their review." This response falls short of even the most modest attempt to placate the consumer. If this franchisee fails, it is because they are not listening. UPDATE 09/03/2026: My review is unchanged. The DQ Bot posted a response asking me to use a link to "reach out" so that they could let the franchise owner know of the concerns. My concerns are included in this review--there is no need for me to duplicate the effort. Pass the on to the franchise owner--or don't. I surmise that the franchise owner has access to yelp, has read the reviews, can obviously visit his restaurant to see for himself, and summarily does not give a lick. If he did, he would have addressed these concerns long ago. They've gone on for years. DQ--do you care how your franchisees represent your brand? If you did, this franchisee would have had his franchise pulled. You care more about the royalties than about fixing issues with one of your franchisees and protecting your brand. THE ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW STANDS: This particular franchisee cannot seem to pull it together. I visited yesterday, and it was fairly busy. Two guest were waiting for food, and I stood at the counter. One of the male employees, to his credit, acknowledged me and said someone would be right with me. There was food, ice cream, and condiments all over the place. It looked like a tornado hit the kitchen. Two guys were in the kitchen not doing much of anything, while the other two employees were frantically running around trying to prepare ice cream, but not really accomplishing anything. They were clearly overwhelmed. Understaffing is this location's downfall. This and cleanliness. It's always dirty, and it kind of has a wet dog smell. I waited for a little over ten minutes. The two women waiting for food didn't get it. Another guy walked in for a mobile order he placed, and he stood there. A few more minutes passed. I looked at the staff covered in food, the filth of the restaurant, and all the food and ice cream on the floor behind the counter and decided I did not need a cone that badly. I left, and noticed a bunch of cars pulling up to the drive through. The last time I visited, a sign on the door said they were closed because they didn't have anyone to work. I live in Cedarburg, so when I want DQ, I'll probably just go to the one in Jackson.

I go to this particular drive thru on a daily basis on my way to work. For the last three Fridays…read morein a row, I have ordered a Filet-O-Fish without tartar sauce. All three times it has come with tartar sauce. I am allergic to tartar sauce so it's not like I can scrape it off. This last Friday I went into the store after checking my sandwich before leaving the lot to get on the freeway. When I gave the person my sandwich she yelled back to have a fish sandwich made with no tartar sauce made. Meanwhile, while I am waiting and talking to the gentleman at the counter, his excuse for this is that the stickers that are generated for a special order is not working properly. He told me that is has been broken for a while. This is not the first time that I have had a concern. Earlier in the week, I had gone through the drive thru and always order a large coke, I got a diet coke instead. I drove around the building and had to wait while they made me another soda, with the right stuff. I really think the management should be taking care of their customers instead of having one of them come from in the back of the store and put his head on the other manager's (a female) shoulder. I worked at McDonald's in the past while raising my kids. These things would never have gone this far.
