Every time I order from here it either cold or missing food. And with the dining room closed we have to go thru the drive thru line again.

Biscuitville was pretty average overall, but there were definitely some highlights. I tried the…read morecinnamon latte and it was super good -- warm, sweet, and perfect for a morning pick-me-up. The strawberry lemonade was also spot-on, refreshing and full of flavor. I ordered a breakfast platter, though, and it was just okay. It didn't taste very fresh and the flavors were a little underwhelming. Customer service was alright, nothing bad, just nothing that stood out. I would go back again, but I'd probably try something different next time. It wasn't terrible by any means, just not as impressive as I hoped. With the drinks being delicious, I'm willing to give it another shot -- maybe I just didn't pick the right item this time.

Stopped in for brunch before our long drive down south. The drive thru ran like a Chick-Fil-a and…read morethe building gave me McDonalds vibes. Walking in I was taken aback. The place was clean (and warm because it was cold this day). There was TVs showing the news and piped through the ceiling speakers. By the order counter was an area behind glass where you can see them making their award-winning biscuits periodically. The staff were very patient with us as we couldn't decide on what we wanted. Everything sounded really good, but I was really hungry so a biscuit sandwich wasn't going to do. I got the Breakfast Platter (biscuit, two eggs *no extra charge for the shortage*, bacon, and grits with a large coffee). The biscuit was exceptional, almost as good as our Maple Street Biscuit Company biscuits. I didn't eat all my eggs as they had gotten cold quickly. The bacon and grits were really good. I also picked up some doggie biscuits for my dog. She absolutely loved them. I don't think she's ever had biscuits before so she wasn't sure about the texture initially but after awhile she scarfed it down. Wish we had these in Florida.

Last week, I found myself in western North Carolina, just outside of Charlotte, for a running event…read morein Gastonia. That said, my hotel and dining radius leaned more toward Kings Mountain, NC, so that's where this story actually takes place. I arrived a bit early, checked into the hotel, swung by the venue to grab my packet, chatted with a few fellow runners, and then the most important question of the evening came up. Where are we eating? After a little web surfing, I landed on a spot called 238 Cherokee Grill. It was conveniently located near both the venue and the hotel, which immediately put it in the lead. My friend Jeff and I pointed ourselves in that direction. It was a Friday night, and the place was buzzing. We were told there would be about a 10-minute wait for a table. That slowly stretched into more like 15 to 20 minutes, but when two seats opened up at the bar, we made a quick executive decision and grabbed them. The bartender checked in fairly quickly, despite being clearly slammed. Once we had their attention, we ordered right away to keep things moving. I went with the classic burger, upgraded with lettuce, mushrooms, grilled onions, and a side of fries, ordered medium. Jeff went with the Smothered Chicken. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and everything hit the bar hot. The burger leaned a little more medium-rare than medium, which honestly worked in my favor. Good flavor, solid burger. The fries were hot and crispy, exactly how I wanted them after a day of travel and packet pickup. No complaints from either of us. Portions were solid, and the prices felt fair for what you get. The only real downside was that initial wait. There isn't much of an entryway to hang out in, and with the cold weather outside, that part wasn't exactly comfortable. That said, the staff was friendly, the service was solid, and the overall experience was a win. Would I go back if I'm in the area again? Yep. The menu had a few other things that caught my eye, and I'd happily give them a shot next time.

I ordered the vegetable quesadilla which came out very hot and was plentiful. The server was attentive, and the food came out very quickly, even though there were several guests there. There was a separate bar area that was not noisy and TVs were around the restaurant. We'll definitely go back if we are in the area again.

We had come here in April of 2020 from what maps had shown. Since I didn't remember it, I decided,…read more"Why not try the supposed 'best breakfast in Gaston County'?" Well... first, the customer service from our waitress could have been so much better. I liked that many people were here and had high hopes, but that went nowhere. I honestly don't like complaining, but it was interesting that we weren't even asked if we wanted any refills on our coffee, meanwhile everyone else around definitely had some refills. Our waitress hardly checked on us. We observed another young lady who was as sweet as can be (Samantha), and I actually asked her about the tea since I just wanted that because, truthfully, the coffee was basically mud water, and not in a good way. I also found myself having to ask our waitress how much longer for our food to come out because it seemed to take way too long for the food we ordered. I ended up leaving more than half my eggs and the city ham, but I definitely liked the pancakes; they were pretty good, and the norm of a grilled cheese sandwich was eatable. I will add I wasn't expecting a high-class breakfast, but what could've made things so much better would've been the attentiveness and customer service from our waitress. We won't be returning, to say the least; it's added into a list I have of "NEVER go." Wish it would've been a better experience.
