The Girls at the counter did a great job taking our orders. There were so many of us that it caused a pretty long line but it moved rather quickly. The employees at the front counter were Jasey and Jordyn. Duane was the Kitchen Manager and he did an awesome job getting our food out! Freddy's has added a lot of new items to their menu. When they first came to town, I seem to remember they only had Hamburgers, Double Hamburgers, Chicken Tenders and Hot Dogs. Now they have a Freddy's app that really is helpful. It has pictures of each item and the ingredients of what is included with each dish. They have Steakburgers, Steakburger Bowl Combo, Crispy Chicken Bowl Combo, Grilled Chicken Bowl Combo, Veggie Chicken Bowl Combo, Prime Rib Steak Burger, Patty Melts, Grilled Cheese, Hot Dogs, Salads, Kids' Meals. Desserts are hard to pass up at Freddy's. I am guessing that 12 of us bought desserts. They have Brownies Delights, Strawberry Dream Cakes, Custard Sundaes, Signature Turtles, Shakes, and Root Beer Floats. We had a wonderful time. Visiting with each other, enjoying our meals and desserts was fun. We probably talked a bit loud since there was so many of us, but normally it isn't as loud as it was today. We've been here probably a half dozen times and there's never been a wait and the dining room has always been clean and well-stocked. I'm the kind of guy who usually finds what he likes at a place and pretty much sticks to it. Oddly, I have 2 things at Freddy's. The Jalapeño Pepper Jack Double Steak Burger or the Patty Melt. On our most recent visit it was the Jalapeño Pepper Jack Double Steak Burger and fries. My wife opted for a bacon burger and onion rings. The person that took our order was friendly and funny and was throwing jokes back at us as we were ordering. #FunTimesWhenPlacingAnOrder Less than ten minutes later and our food was ready. Prepared just like we ordered, and to borrow a phrase from my fast-food days, "hot food hot". Burger we hot and the fries, while shoestring, were hot and well seasoned. The burger was a cheesy, double-patty, heart-friendly masterpiece...and I loved it. The staff was hustling making sure food we getting served, shakes were being made, and the drink station was clean. This time of the year they were decorated for Christmas and a number of the employees were festively dressed and in great Holiday cheer.

My friend ordered the mushroom and cheese burger, and it was packed with mushrooms and melted cheese in every bite. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, and it was perfectly crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Drink refills are free, which is always appreciated. The only small inconvenience is that you have to ask an employee for a refill since the drink station isn't easily accessible. It would be even more convenient if the drink machine were located in an area where customers could refill their own drinks. Overall, the food, value, and service make this an easy 5-star experience. I almost always use the mobile app to make an order, but the one time I ordered for takeout at the counter, it took less than two minutes for my salad to be ready, bagged, and on the counter. There is drive thru where a person with an ordering pad will take your order before you go around to the collection window. I warn you, there is always a long line for pickup so ordering ahead for takeout or going inside to order may be quicker.

We were having some trouble using the app, so we went into the restaurant and asked Roxana D if she could help us. Our very favorite meal to order is the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla. We ordered one for both of us and 2 drinks. I wanted Zaxby's Unsweet Ice Tea but it was being refilled, so Roxana filled my cup and brought it out to our table. Our Quesadillas were ready very quickly and we loved them. I never can eat a whole one, so I was looking forward to having it the next day for lunch. I wanted a tea refill so I walked back up to get them to refill my cup. They have the best tea. Roxana checked on us several times while we were there. They have many sides including thin fries, Parmesan garlic fries, Creamy Mac & Cheese, and Sweet Vinegar Slaw. Their chicken is available in wings, drum sticks, Sammie's, you can add chicken (fried or grilled chicken ) to the Kale Crunch Salad. They also have Chicken and Waffles which my husband and I ordered. That is our favorite entree to eat at Joella's Hot Chicken. Marv and Sawyer took the orders, and Dany delivered the food to the tables. They did a good job bringing the utensils, the sauces and clearing the tables. Rachel is their District Manager and lives in Indianapolis. She is a big supporter of Swan Pointe. We had a nice time sitting with some of our newer residents and getting to know them.

The food portions are huge, and if you walk away hungry it's because you weren't a member of the Clean Plate club. A few years ago they moved to a different pricing strategy that I questioned at the time but seems to have done them well. Basically, a burrito costs ($x.xx), regardless of the meat/beans/rice/cheese/veggies/guac, etc., so you have a pretty good idea that your $7.00 burrito is going to cost $7.00 and not $9.50 because you added quac and sour cream. One time the pop (soda) (soft drink) (whatever you want to call it) machine was down (damn computers, anyway) so they actually let you get bottled drinks out of the cooler for the same price as you'd pay for a fountain drink. The manager apologized and said that the repair guy had actually just arrived (and he did, because he was working on it within ten minutes.) My favorite food item used to be the Fajita Ranchero Burrito. What an amazing delight that was. However, when QDoba went through one of it's personality changes about five years ago they got rid of the Ranchero sauce, even though I begged...I pleaded...I offered real cash to get them to keep it, but....alas.... All three chains offer grilled fajita veggies for their items, but I'll put QDoba's above the others and I really, REALLY wish I could emulate that exact flavor at home. Whenever we've visited the store has been clean, the line well-stocked, and the staff hustling and focused on making sure everything is in order.
