But both services we not completed, even after numerous reschedulings. Note for 2 years, I used this company to clean my gutters. They have done a GREAT JOB, historically! This year was a different matter. Very disappointed. And because they did not complete the gutter cleaning as scheduled, I lost a significant part of my rental lease security deposit. As for the tree service, I have since engaged a separate company.

NC Tree Specialist came out to see what I wanted and prepared a bid. I was told, before and during the job, that the crew would "knock the job out in 3 days". Crew turned out to be 2 ppl plus 1 manager who was gone sometimes. They were about half done after 2-1/2 days & manager was still saying they would knock the job out and make sure I was happy, but it might take another day or day-and-a-half. By day 4, he was asking for more money but I refused (his bid, his crew, his pace). By day 5-1/2, my mistake but I agreed to pay a few hundred more to get manager off my back. Then, manager said they were leaving and weren't coming back to finish unless I paid even more! Acted like I was responsible for his underbid, small crew, and he said it was 'morally wrong' of me to ask them to finish the job...but that they could finish if I agreed to pay $750 the next day. I refused to pay a third payment! Crew left 50+ trees standing that were part of what was bid, they left a very messy yard (still cleaning weeks later), they left some stumps over a foot tall (who cuts trees like that?), and their trash too. My money is gone, and they refuse to finish what they were hired to do. I would not recommend for tree clearing. I don't know if this manager is just bad at bidding, or if they underbid on purpose to get the work. I'll never know for sure. All I know is I feel cheated by an UNFINISHED job I paid for (and then some), and they gave me attitude!

This was the second day of needing to "reschedule" at the last minute.

We have a wooded lot, and noticed that some of the trees next to the house, were leaning and hollow. Lester surveyed Monday afternoon, and scheduled removal of 11 trees (8 of which were more than 100 feet tall) for the next day. Lester was a pleasure to work with. He's very seasoned, explain the process, and provided a quote on the spot. I booked the service for the very next day. The crew of ~six arrived on time, with multiple vehicles and equipment, and the job took about 8 hours. When they left, you couldn't tell (except for the missing trees), that anything had been done. I think my yard and street were cleaner than when they arrived. When moving debris in my side yard, they also cleared trees that had previously fallen. As promised, they came back the next day and ground the stumps in my front yard. They have the expertise, the personnel and the equipment to do any job. Alan and Mike were very pleasant, answered my frequent questions, and it was a pleasure watching the process and meeting them. Their pricing was very reasonable. They were so impressed with the team's performance that 3 of them had trees removed before the crew left the area and several others got estimates for future tree work.
