Taking down an apple tree is easy, right? Well sure but how to remove that dreaded stump that grows 4 feet into the ground? I called ArborCare and Bryce was the technician...he was amazing! Due to its size, the machine squeaked through the gate with only a fraction of an inch to spare but it needed to turn a corner...and somehow Bryce patiently made it work by moving micro-inches for about 10 minutes so that the retaining wall was not damaged. WHAT A RIP OFF! These clowns are a joke! Cutting a trench through the middle of a tree and calling it "pruned" is a scam, in my books. To top it off, the classless broad that owns the place made a comment about "Some people just don't want to pay their bills". Way to go! read more

Our elm has been maintained by arborcare on a regular basis for a couple of years now. Last spring we had noticed our tree had become sick so we called to have someone come out and take a look at it. They recommended an injection to the tree, which we booked, as well as some additional pruning and fertilizing. We are hoping this year that our tree will be doing better, especially after the beating it took in the snow storm. They came out quick and knew what the problem was with our tree right away. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Same experience as Trent A. These guys are the kind that give contractors a bad name. Hired them to prune a tree and they completely botched it. Then they went ahead and charged me for it. The subcontractor promised to come back and fix it and then just never showed up. Arborcare refuses to refund my money and the manager is too chicken to pick up the phone to even talk to me. Total scammers. read more

We have had them out and they've done some work for us in the past. However, it's nearly impossible to get them to come out again. We wanted to do some work mid-summer. We asked them to come out and do the work (they did it the year before, pruning some trees) but they wouldn't do it without a quote first. We had the quote done within days, which was good - and they then said the work would be done within 10 days.. After 10 days, we emailed asking when it was going to happen. They didn't have the courtesy to respond. We then called after that, and even left a voice message. No response from that either.. Sorry, they're not trustworthy enough for my liking. We're going elsewhere.. read more

Contacted this company to remove several trees, supply and plant 2 new ones and trim some existing branches damaged by snow last year. The quote was April 22nd and it is near the end of June and still awaiting the trimming. The trees were planted 3 weeks ago yesterday and we called the next day to explain that the Aspen planted was in the wrong spot and the spruce supplied was too small and we were ok paying more for a bigger spruce. I was told a manager would call to set up a meeting to discuss our issues.No call for a week so called again one week later and same message that i would receive a call to my cell from the manager.Still no call one week later so here we are. The staff that did the work were friendly and did a good job but the management is clueless and I have been too nice from the beginning. With no call from anyone, I can not recommend this company to anyone as they clearly lack any customer service. read more

I used to be a very happy client of Arbor Care. They had done a wonderful job, in the past, of pruning a tree, grinding down an old stump and cutting back a couple of hedges that had been suffering from oystershell scale. This year, I thought I'd schedule an early pruning of my crabapple tree, and asked if they could replace the middle section of my hedge, which never recovered from the advanced oystershell scale, so i made a request for an estimate at the end of March. On April 18, three weeks later, I FINALLY received an estimate of the work I had requested. They also suggested an APM program for all my trees and shrubs. I called to book all of the work the next day. Two days later, someone came out to do the root fertilization that was part of the APM. But no one ever came to prune the tree or do the hedge. On Monday May 29, I finally got sick of waiting to see if a crew was coming out or not, and called the office. Apparently the girl I had spoken to in April had booked the APM, and nothing else! A work order had never been made, so I was waiting around for something that was never going to happen. Grr! I re-booked the pruning and the hedge, and was assured that someone would be out that week, or early the following week. And then, she called back the next day for my credit card number, which was apparently no longer on file and she didn't notice when she booked me. Today is June 8, exactly 10 days after that conversation, and the Thursday of the following week. Still no sign of a crew. Called the office. Spoke (again) to Claudia, who told me I wasn't even on the schedule yet. Not for tomorrow (Friday) and the next week's schedule wasn't made up yet. She said she would request my appointment ASAP, but it was up to the production manager when it would get done. So I've been waiting over 10 weeks for something that really should have taken less than 2. Needless to say, I'll be looking for a different provider next year. read more

Stay away! Although the estimator was great and clearly knew his stuff the guys who were supposed to come do the work didn't show up. When we got fed up and cancelled the service they told us they would charge us $285 for cancelling because they didn't show up!!! I understand things happen but no one communicated with us and each time I called I was told they "were on their way". After waiting 7 hours I gave up. When they called to find out why we cancelled instead of apologizing I was threatened! What a way to run a business. I did some research and found numerous bad reviews on several sites. read more

The Company overcharges. They make you give them your credit card number in advance of a quote in order for you to get booked by them. This gives them authorization to charge a client any price at all, They make up charges such as hauling when no hauling was ever done. Their customer service is not credible . If you use them you are going to eventually sue them for there overcharges. read more

Horrible customer service!! While they were very quick to do the estimate, having someone actually get here to do the service was simply just not happening. More than a month later, after many phone calls to them, they still didn't have us on the schedule. Initially I was told it would be just a couple of weeks. Storm damaged trees and the great possibility of further damage to my home and the trees themselves, just didn't seem to matter. When people told you they would call you back, well they just wouldn't. Their so called customer service is terrible. I ended up cancelling as I could simply not trust them to tell me the truth.
