I been passing by this place a couple times when I would visit next door and I finally gave it a try. They have their menu outside so you can even see the prices beforehand. Inside is a little market and they even have some produce. They carry alot of home made stuff in the fridges like hummus, garlic sauce, cabbage rolls just to name a few. I grabbed the spicy hummus with their pita chips. It was alright, not spicy to me. And I also got their chicken and beef plate. It came with rice pilaf, a salad, garlic sauce and pita bread. It was quite a wait but ik that's cus they was making it fresh. She did come out n apologized for the wait and lmk how much longer.. I finally got my food and tried it at home. The rice alone was good. Not dry or overcooked. The meat pieces were pretty big! Nice and tender. The garlic sauce complimented the meats well with the pita bread. The salad was refreshing but really was just okay since it was mainly cucumber and tomatoes.. I still ate everything up.

Amazing lunch options, unique and delicious market treats, and probably some of the tastiest European desserts Ive found in a bodega. My wife and I were looking for Mediterranean food and Arrat Market popped up. While I don't think this place is a true Mediterranean restaurant they do offer delicious Mediterranean focused plates. We ordered two Chicken kebab plates with a side dzadziki (yogurt sauce) and extra pita. The food was amazing. The chicken was super juicy and full of flavor and the rice was a perfect mix of al dente yet not try. Dzadziki, which I've never seen it spelled like that, was super fresh and the crispy cucumber added a nice crunch. Definitely a revisit dinner spot and they take phone orders! While we waited for our food we shopped around. This place is small, but they have so much good stuff here. Tons of international spices, candies, and jarred items. We left with some spices, a bag of cinnamon cookies, and lots of sweets for the kiddos. Can't wait to head back here and sample more of their menu and get a few more sweet treats!

Great customer service at this mom and pop shop! First time here, and will be back. I order the chicken and beef combo plate. It was about 10-15 min wait but the meat was so tender and juicy - not dry or rushed through the cooking process which I appreciate! The salad was nothing special, garlic sauce was well balanced!

Extremely poor customer service by woman at front register. 2pm on 5/2/2025 My husband and I came in to see what the market had to offer the community because we had been drawn in by the amazing marketing on the windows while in the area. Once we entered, Staff did not acknowledge us at all like most small businesses. When I asked her a question she stared at me until I was finished speaking. Instead of answering the question, she began to speak with a customer. The customer did not respond to the staff initially, which led to her answering my question. I would like to clarify that the customer was not an employee and attempted to respond to my inquiry. I'm unsure if there was a communication barrier but this is America, respectfully, and we primarily speak English. Please have someone who speaks English work here and/or if she does speak English, she can use some customer service training. Thank you, I do wish your business the best.

My family and I needed large portions for a funeral but we wanted delicious filling food. I called Ararat Market two days before the funeral and they were able to fulfill an cratering order of 50 people. The lady who helped me over the phone was so sweet! She helped me narrow it down of chicken (forgot to take pictures) but it came in two big trays , rice pilaf , pita and dipping sauce. I needed it by 8:45am but they said the earliest they can do it is 9:30am and was able to negotiate 9:15am as the funeral was at 10am . I showed up with my sister they had everything done by 9am! Very impressed. I came in and they put everything in the car! I wish I could have tipped them but there was no tipped option when I called it in and paid two days before the day of pick up. Anywho, the chicken was so flavorful and the rice was mouthwatering delicious! It was a hit at the funeral and there was nothing left so that speaks volumes! We are overjoyed with the service from start to finish and would definitely order catering from them again. I wish they delivered as we were 30 min late to the funeral. Other than that I cannot thank Ararat Market for coming through for my family on one the hardest days! Definitely recommend for lunch, dinner and events!

A true gem in the Clovis/Fresno area. Wife and I had the beef and chicken lula kabob plates and we we're both extremely pleased with our meals. We both grew up in the Glendale area and were spoiled with great homemade Armenian food from friends growing up so we are very picky. We called ahead of time and by the time we got there food was ready. Picked up some nazook for dessert which happened to be from a bakery back home! Eating the food from here was a real treat and we expect to be back here again and again. read more

I used to work for an Armenian (I assume he still is, I just don't work for him anymore) so I was introduced to a lot of what the Armenian cuisine has to offer. Inherently there's a lot of really goofy shit, but if that's what you're looking for you will find it here. Everything I've had has been excellent and, of course, very authentic. read more

Ararat Market has amazing food and service and they are now serving FANTASTIC sandwiches. I ordered the chicken lulu wrap today and it was amazing and huge. They take a whole skewer of kebab and wrap it in fresh lavosh with fresh cut lettuce, ripe tomatos and cucumbers then top it off with the most delish garlic sauce. It was only $5.49 and big enough to share. Call ahead if you don't want to wait the few minutes it takes for them to make up your order. Better yet, stroll around and pick up a few of their market specialties, pastries, breads and other goodies. Do not leave without buying some of their tabbouleh, hummus and baked pita chips - all made in house of course and the best you'll ever have unless you have an Armenian grandmother! read more

If your like me who came from SF and love authentic food. Please step into this store, not only is it family owned but they have food from different regions of Russia. The garlic paste sauce is by far the best in the area. If you like to step outside corporate franchising please stop by and get yourself a beef/chicken shawarma plate then end it with there amazing baklava. LOVE THIS PLACE! read more

Up visiting the area from Paso Robles for a soccer tournament. We were looking for a place to get a quick bite to eat before we had to return to the tournament. Saw the great reviews and decided to give it a try! 5 stars is right! Very friendly, and the amount of food, for the price was outstanding! Wow Araik made me so much food and everything was so amazing. Seriously, try everything on the menu because this is home-made tier stuff from native Hyastanci's and it doesn't get better than that. We have been wanting to try this Market for a while. We ordered take out. We ordered chicken and beef kebab plates. They were delicious, the meat was fresh and seasoned well, they give you a great serving of rice pilaf, and the salad was fresh with the most beautiful red tomatoes. We will definitely be returning. I enjoyed looking around the market as well. Being half Armenian, I'm excited to know I am able to get some of my baking ingredients there. The family is very nice and welcoming. This has made living in Clovis better ! We just love this family(Family owned business) and how wonderful they are with customer service. The marinated chicken and beef is so delicious and flavorful. The servings of rice is outstanding. I like it ALL though especially their lahmajoun (also, lahm bi ajeen, s'fiha) flatbread "pizzas" are great for snacks at home. Great place to buy ingredients for your cooking experiments. My husband has years eating at the Fresno one, but we are happy to have one close to our home in Clovis. :) read more

Everything an Armenian market should be: excellent made to order sandwiches and dinner platters, fresh produce, a wide selection of breads, desserts, tremendous meats and cheeses, and a host of imported goods--and all of it somehow manages to fit into a small space. The owners are exceedingly friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Good mix of homemade and outsourced (Nina's Bakery's lahmajoon) and an above average catering service. This is an awesome little place hidden behind the gas station at clovis and herndon. They always have amazing food and the people are always very helpful and nice. They have a great little meat selection, deli counter, produce as well as homemade staples like garlic sauce and tsa tsiki. Thier prepared food is great but I love the fact that they sell all thier marinated meats to take home and cook yourself. If you like middle eastern food you have to try this place. read more

We ordered the butter chicken, which comes with a side of rice, garlic naan, chicken lollipop, which is 4 pieces of drumette, mango juice, and pineapple juice. The butter chicken was great, rice and garlic naan was perfect. The juices surprisingly appeared to taste freshly squeezed and delicious, if that may be the actual case. --While eating, we noticed one of the chicken lollipops was not cooked all the way through and was still raw in the middle. We checked another chicken lollipop and noticed it was also raw in the middle. We notified the waitress and they were able to replace the order with a new one. -- Overall, the food was great. 4 My experience with the service, however, was perhaps a 3, not as good as expected due to minor language barrier while ordering, trying to resolve the semi-raw chicken issue, and when asking for a to-go container for my unfinished butter chicken. We were goven a small 8oz container upon request for a to-go container that did not fit the leftover butter chicken... due to the miscommunication. There was another miscommunication during the experience where the receipt given to us looked like a kitchen/prep ticket, which did not show the total paid amount per items ordered. We asked the waitress/server again for a copy of my receipt that showed the total paid. They did not understand and insisted it was the receipt. It wasn't until the owner came and walked the waitress through printing out my receipt for us. Overall we give it a 3.5. We tipped 15%, as the food was fresh and enjoyable and delicious despite the chicken situation, and the service was okay. The table preparation, the waitress and the owners fine attempt to work things out via communication, to us, shows the restaurant is a fairly quality spot... but the overall experience did not meet our minimal desired experience, so we may not be as firm on returning.

I went to get it shortly later! It's in an Indian Grocery store. Indian music playing. I had to go to the back to try to find someone and he told me the order was almost ready. I was running late too. At least they are making it fresh! Paid for the order and left. They have a little kitchen in the back. Only to-go orders. No seating inside. Lunchtime! Order split. Chicken Biryani was spicy & Really DELICIOUS! Flavorful! It's a good amount! I have leftovers. Samosa was Great too! Even better with the sauces! Roti was fresh & tasty! Mother said hers was Really great and had "just the Right spice!" Good service & GREAT lunch! Highly recommended!

I order takeout from Aramat Market at least once a month, and the quality of their Armenian food has consistently impressed me. The portions are generous and always fresh, and there are numerous options to choose from. The staff is pleasant and efficient, and the ordering process is quick and simple. One of my favorite dishes is the lamb kabob plate, which includes perfectly cooked and flavorful skewers of lamb as well as rice and vegetables on the side. The hummus and pita bread are also delicious, and I always buy a few bottles of the house-made hot sauce to take home. I highly recommend it for delicious take-out food. This place is amazing! Customer service is through the roof! The woman who helped me was so nice and helpful. I wanted to buy some Armenian coffee and she went to get it for me right away and then taught me how to make it. That was very kind of her. My girlfriend noticed how small it was but it was impeccably clean. Even though it was small, the quality of food and meats were of very high standards. They look at the details which is very important. There tziki sauce which I'm probably spelling wrong tasted phenomenal. I love this place and will be here at least once a week just buying random things because I want to support this awesome place! read more

Mediterranean /Arminian Groceries and Sandwiches ...wow what a great tasting food , for half the price you would pay anywhere else .
