Arandas took 2 hours to exchange summer to winter tires on my car. They charged me $ 180. When I asked why this was more expensive than other tire places in the city their answer was that " we charge by time and in took 2 hours". Maybe customers should not be paying for Arandas workers inefficiencies.... !!!!! Now I know where I will never go again . read more

I had a flat on a back right 21" inch wheel on an Audi S8+. They first looked to see if they could repair. When they couldn't, they offered me the best, most cost-effective option and got it done within a couple hours. I was astounded at the level of the service and the price. I no longer fear the next tire need, as I know exactly where I'm going. As we all know, the Chicago area roads are crap around this time of year. Updated: They have come to the rescue so many times and I have to now give Them a 5 star! The last time I came I was given absolutely no questions about the tire and it was remedied extremely quickly. I am super pleased at the way the place is professional and I never have problems with them. If you want to shop around the city for a tire, go for it. But If you just want a tire with no aches and pains, come here. I've used them several times and will always come back for the service and for the products sold here. I always call first, and have your tire # ready (you can find the numbers on the sides of all tires) that way you can check if they have them in stock. So far with my tires (and they are hard to find) they always seem to have them, this I must say is a super plus. Original Review: Okay now I went To 5 various places around the city for a tire 225/45/18 and no one had one! Went to the other Arandas on Ashland and although they didn't have the right size, they called up the other Aranda's on North and Grand. I was happy that I went for sure. The size of tire my Eclipse needs is low and hard to find, but they had two! And the price for a (almost new) tire was $43 altogether with tax and that was a steal! I am so happy I came. Now for the reason they are getting a 4 Star is simple. I have now had the tire 3 days and since I left the place, it has been giving me a "whirling" sound. I live too far so I called and spoke to David who stated just bring it in, which I will do during the week. I will definitely give them the 5 star and an updated review when all is well. But the fact that he stated to come back, that in itself shows the integrity of Aranda's Tire Shop. I highly recommend them since they are really good and professional with their work. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Living in Chicago you'll run into several potholes on a daily basis. Well apparently my boyfriend hit a pretty gnarly one and bent his rim. He took it to Jiffy Lube and since his rim is alloy and not steel, they couldn't fix it. They said to call around to other rim shops in Chicago and see if they can fix it, however most of them would be hit or miss. He was hoping he wouldn't have to replace the rim, because that would be about $400-500. Luckily, he found this shop. He got a quote for $70 and stopped by this Saturday afternoon. They got started in no time on the rim and within 30 minutes he was out of there with a refurbished rim. The front counter people were extremely friendly and the service of this place was impeccable. I keep telling myself that I am going to have to get some strange side job doing unmentionable things to support the care and maintenance of my BMW. I kept needing to get tires due to the horrible streets in the city of Chicago and the tires on my car are not only a staggered fit, but they are low profile/high-performance. Most places, new tires are 300 easily; used ones are about 100! I came here to get a used tire, had a great experience. 1 month later, I ended up needing yet another tire. WTF?! I came back here and they were able to get me EXCELLENT pricing for a new complete set of tires that are all weather! Absolutely, without question, the best tire/wheel place around. I drive a VW GTI with low profile tires in Chicago. Yes, I am not a genius. On the other hand, I feel so much better since Arandas has my back. I know they are fair (actually legit inexpensive) and do very high quality work quickly. I had been trying to find for a week places in the Chicago area that would have a replacement rim for my tire and that wouldn't break the bank. So I have a Range Rover and my love for it apparently doesn't extend to its wheels because I seem to have a lifelong mission to kick the sh*t out of them on a daily basis when driving our fine city's streets. Anyway, Howard Orloff, our local Land Rover dealer quoted me five hundred and fifty dollars per wheel to refinish them and I was like "uh hey, Howie, maybe buy me a dinner first" and started hunting for an alternative. Thanks to Yelp I found Aranadas and without an appointment dropped my truck off yesterday and was quoted 175 a wheel (I have 20 inch wheels). They told me a two-day turnaround but I had my truck back in less than 24 hours with what appear to be lustrous shining brand new alloys. I HIGHLY recommend them if you suffer from curb rash, bends, scratches and other side effects of a sadistic need to destroy your wheels. read more

I want to share my experience. They were nice and kind about it but the outcome was pretty bad for me and my car. So I wanted to replace one rim (front driver was dented, thanks chicago) I looked up rim places near me. I called Arandas TR up to see if they had the right rim for my car. They said they will check out what they have and will call me back. few hours later they called me back. They said we do not have a OEM one but they had a aftermarket one that will fit. I said OK thats ok with me as long as it fits. Told them ill be there the next day so they can hold on to it, it was late anyways. I go the next morning. All goes well. I arrive, gave them my keys, sat in the waiting area. nice guys. My car is ready in about 50-60 mins. I go to pay and RIGHT after I pay with my card. The guy goes "So the rim did not fit the front so we exchanged a rear wheel to the front and put the new one in the back." I was upset. I did not show it but this has happened to me before. Thats why I was frustrated. my car has smaller calipers in the rear so smaller width rims fit with no problem. I was not happy since thats not what I wanted and they told me right after paying for it. So after me explaining that I wanted a fresh new rim in the front driver side so I can have a smoother ride. They helped me out by putting a spacer for the new front rim since it would take about a week to get the right size one from texas. I didnt know too much about spacers so they left me with no choice so I said yes to the spacers. All I knew is they are ok and safe to use. They did not charge me for the spacer and labor to change wheels. They did it under 30 mins. I got my car and left. Spacers where not bad to drive with, did not see a difference other then the wheel peaking out of the fender just a little bit. It looked cool. So I got some money and bought a set of four from another place closer to home. While replacing my old rims the mechanic had an issue. my car uses the wheel lug bolts so not the lug nuts. the wheel bearing assembly's teeth were so bad you could not screw in a bolt. It would strip the bolts when they try to put one in. non of the 5 bolts would screw in. I did not have a good day. spent more money, left without a car for 2 days. Had to change the wheel bearing assembly, not cheap. idk if it was the spacers or how the people at Arandas put the bolts in the wheel that damaged it. Maybe they had a hard time putting the spacer on so they damaged it I dont know. Either way shouldnt have happened in the first place. I dont know where they get their information from, probably google. Just sharing my experience. read more

My car was in a collision and my wheels were damaged so Georges Carstar sent my car here to get the tires mounted on the new rims and an alignment. I gave them specs of how i wanted my alignment done. They couldnt even do that right. 1st one of my wheels were badly scratched and theyre chrome so you can tell. Then i go back to get the money for the wheel that george said jimmy would give me. I get there then jimmy says well my guy scratched your rim its his fault blah blah blah. Did not want to cut me the check for my damaged wheel. I went back to georges and told him what happened so he himself cut me the check. They didnt even give me a print out of the alignment:m. So i put my car on the alignment rack at my job and it was all over the place. Front toe was 2 degrees out and rear camber was way off. Left rear was -1.0 and right rear was -2.5 degrees. I went to george with the paperwork from my job and warned him that he should take his alignments elsewhere. Also because jimmy is a dick head! read more
