I have been wearing glasses/contacts since my middle school years and thanks to Dr.Karp i know longer have to worry about picking up my glasses just to look at someone communicate with me nor the less travel out of town and worry did I pack enough contacts . officially my day 2 from surgery and i am feeling great and seeing 20/20 (: One of the most amazing experiences in life I can add to my to-do list . Each transition is smooth from FREE CONSULTATION until all your pre op . the whole staff is friendly and sweet great atmosphere and great environment . I would recommend anyone who needs medical assistance with their eyes or even lasik . no issues, no complaints . treatment are easy as far as taking your drops for a week straight

It's been a pleasure getting my PRK eye surgery done here! When it comes to the surgery itself, all in all my results were amazing and better than what I expected from the research I did online. My vision is sharper and in the 20/15 range and my eyes are more comfortable than with contacts. All of this kicked in within 2 weeks, much sooner than expected. My vision will reach its peak somewhere are 3-6 months from now, so I'm looking forward to even better results over time. Thanks Dr. Karp and Heather!

I am 53 years old and have…read morebeen burdened with glasses and/or contacts for 47 years of my life, I have done Lasik consultations before and was always too scared to proceed. The staff at LasikPlus changed all of that. The entire staff was great from start to finish. Heather Mott was great and answered all of my questions during my initial consultation and after, she also did a great job of following up with me, even 4 months after my first visit. Denia Zolaica was amazing and was able to "talk me off the ledge" the day of my surgery last Thursday. As I mentioned before, 47 years is a long time to wear glasses/contacts and I could not fathom the idea of doing without them and almost walked out of the office the day of my surgery. The staff realized my anxiety and did their best to calm my nerves, and Denia in particular was amazing. She brought me in to her office and did an amazing job of explaining the procedure in detail and helping me deal with my anxiety (the 2 Valiums that she prescribed me did not hurt either). Finally, Dr. Karp has a way of making a patient feel welcome and exudes the utmost confidence in the service (a medical miracle in my opinion) that he provides. Since day one, Dr. Karp assured me that I was a great candidate and that all would go well, and the result far exceeded my expectations. The procedure itself is miraculous, the hardest part for me was the anticipation in the waiting room. Each eye takes about 30 seconds and after my first eye was done, I could already see clearly. Since then, with each passing day, my eyes feel better and better and today the staff confirmed that my vision is now 20/15. Like I said, a medical miracle for someone that has not known life without glasses for nearly 50 years. I still wear readers to see things up close but that is due to my age, distance-wise everything is now in HD for me. Do yourself a favor, do the Lasik, you will not regret it! The staff at LasikPlus will be with you every step of the way and I am sure you will walk out of there kicking yourself for not having done Lasik sooner, I sure did!

Dr. Arthur Fishman, M.D. is THE BEST ! Here's why:…read more I am a terrible eye patient; NO ONE TOUCHES MY EYES, let alone operates on them ! I knew from several Ophthalmologists that I needed cataract surgery. I kept putting it off, even though I had lost my ability to drive at night several years ago, and my daytime vision was compromised. I was referred to Dr. Fishman while visiting South Florida. His prestigious educational and professional background aside, FINALLY, a doctor that took the time to explain to me the mechanics of my eye condition; I had particularly bothersome subcapsular cataracts. Dr. Fishman explained the benefits and risks of cataract surgery, what I had to look forward to and he took the time to answer my numerous questions. He was very kind and empathetic and I felt immediate trust, so I decided on the spot that I found the right doctor to operate on my eyes! Dr. Fishman gave me several options for lens replacements and I opted for the Technis Intraocular Lenses by Abbott. With both of my two eye surgeries, after the dilation drops wore off, I looked around and my first thought was "I am liberated"! 20-20 Vision ! No more glasses and no more blinding cataracts! I was so happy after the first surgery, I asked to have the second one done the following week. The surgery itself was as described to me. The anesthesiologist told me "you will be awake but comfortable", but, I made sure to clarify that it was "twilight sleep". Which, as far as I am concerned as a layman patient, no, I was not awake, and if I was, I don't remember a thing; exactly as I wanted it. Post surgery, I had absolutely no discomfort. Vision was blurry until the dilation drops wore off. One of my eyes felt like there might have been a grain of sand in it for maybe an hour. Other than that, there was no pain, no nothing. If I wouldn't have been hit with the liberating sensation of "perfect vision" afterwards, I wouldn't have known that I had surgery at all ! Dr. Fishman's office is very efficient. My first appointment was within 7 days from when I first called. I could have been seen even sooner, however, my schedule didn't allow for it. Each time I've gone in, the office is well organized and the staff is efficient, courteous and helpful. I was given a thorough eye exam with the newest State of the Art testing equipment (non-invasive). In fact, had I not opted for cataract surgery, it was determined I needed a new RX for glasses, which was more precise than the RX I was given less than a year ago at another Ophthalmologist's office. I was given easy to follow pre op instructions by the surgery coordinator, who, also called me post op to see how I was doing. I called with a question a few hours after the first surgery and it was answered immediately. For both surgeries the staff at the surgical center were extremely efficient and helpful. They made sure I had followed pre op instructions, made me feel comfortable before the procedure and I was sent home with easy to follow post op instructions. And, they called to check up on me. My follow up appointments with Dr. Fishman post surgery went seamlessly. I couldn't be happier. Cataract surgery is supposed to be one of the "easiest" on a patient. Yes, that may be, but, it is still surgery, so having the best surgeon is important. Dr. Fishman is certainly that. The whole experience was perfect ! Anyone may contact me with more questions.

My insurance covers $300.00. They instructed me to a wall with about 10 frames that were cheap looking and cost about $20.00 so they're trying to tell me I have to pay $280.00 for single vision lenses that are just for reading. When I asked again, I was told yes, this is what they covered. Would not break down the lenses and frames separately. I called a few optical stores and the going prices for regular single vision polycarbonate lenses are between $60.00 to $120.00 dollars so are they trying to charge $180.00 dollars for frames that look like mediicaid frames. Do not buy glasses from this place and shop around as they are trying to rip off customers. I understand making a profit but cheap looking frames for almost $200.00, I don't think so. Reading glasses in pharmacy look better than these frames.
