I had to go into academy with a uniform opposite to my classmates and was heavily reprimanded as a result to the poor embroidery. When I asked for any potential resolution or potential refund/credit, they dismissed my complaints and said "the academy director is wrong." While getting guidance from my supervisor and academy director on the required SLEO set that every cadet had besides me. The uniforms are unworn and I had to purchase another uniform with United Uniform who was kind enough to follow up with my superiors to discuss my issue and the solution they had to provide me a uniform to fully attend without being at risk for being dismissed. Unfortunately the manager does not wish to take any accountability and instead has chose to vocalize her issue with my situation through online review rather than contacting my superiors who would be glad to inform the store of the specific requirements. I was really hopeful for their candor and attention to detail however the manager clearly did not wish to help.

This tends to be more expensive for these kind but I prefer comfort than being cheaper especially when I have to wear scrubs for 12 hr shifts. They also sell other medical gear like shoes, ID holders, scissors, socks etc On the men's side - they sell things that I assume construction workers would wear. Can't really tell you more on that topic cuz I never bought any male items Let them sign you up for mailing list ... you get coupons in the mail ... like 10 bucks off 50 kinda thing. It helps :)

On Saturday, January 9th, 2021, I had the most unpleasant experience at your store on Route 22, Union, NJ. While in line r to purchase a $200 pair of Chippewa Boots. When I got to, I asked the cashier "can I use your bathroom" her response of "we don't have a public bathroom" took me by surprise. They were willing to accept my "public" money of $200 however they would not allow me to pee in their toilet. I was inside the store for about a half hour fitting several different boots before I made my final decision. 2. I stated because I cannot use your bathroom I will not buy the boots, I returned them to the shelf and left the store. Since I knew the brand, size and color I wanted, I went home and ordered them from midwestboots.com, the cost was $5.05 less than Work n' Gear. 3. I am a 35 year member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 25, I have purchased at least one pair of boots from this store every year for the past 20 years. I have also purchased Carhartt and Riggs clothing along with safety and cold weather gear. Attached is a photograph of three (3) pairs of KEEN Boots that I purchased from the Union store. The other photo is my most recent boot purchase from REI, EMS and Mid-West Boots. 4. I actually prefer to shop in "brick and mortar" stores because as a former elected official (I served as Council President of the Township of Irvington, NJ) I know first-hand how important these business are to our local economy and employment opportunities. I am willing to pay more out of pocket to support the merchants in my community. 5. I will never purchase another item from any Work n' Gear store. It is nice that the internet offers so many options. I refuse to do business with merchants that show a lack of respect for their customers, clients and the public. Thank you for reading my letter. So if you are going be prepared to circle around a few times. I did find metered parking a block away. I went directly to the lady whose name I was given to hold the shirt for me. We looked for other sizes with and without the school logo. We found 1 without the logo so I had to special order the emblem. I placed the order on August 11, 2021. They use the excuse everybody has now of days "because of COVID the order could take 4 weeks or longer" ‍. A month later I called for an update and was told because of the storm there is a delay. Called back 3 weeks after that and the order still wasn't ready. Called back 2 months later only to be told oh we called you a week ago and left a message your order was ready. Turns out they somehow had the wrong number. Between the horrible parking and long wait I probably will not return to this location.
