Going from a city that has fabulous coffee to a country that doesn't (espresso is not coffee, and I'll take 12 of your noisettes to wake me up, thank you very much! :) ) was not easy. But, because we were staying in the hipster-iest of all districts in Paris (Marais), there was this place! On a hot summer day in which I was just pooped, imagine my delight at a place that could offer cold brew.
And it was good! It was like your standard cold brew. It wasn't on nitro, sadly, but who cares. It was very good. The baristas were in the middle-ground between nice and arrogant (as baristas typically are). The menu had lots of good options from cold brew to pour-overs, but heads up, it was very expensive. My non-nitro cold brew was 6 euros; in Portland, OR I'd pay about $4 and still call that expensive. It's also all from one source, so don't come hoping to try and experiment with different varietals.
