I needed to have security bars removed from our windows. Ara was able to quote just by seeing a picture of the job and it was reasonable for what needed to be done. He arrived early and communicated clearly what he needed to do. I will absolutely use him again when needed and refer him to others. read more

Our front door has been slowly failing since we moved in. Cracks run up and down the latch/lock side of the jam and the wood is completely torn up from multiple fixes...so I finally broke down and reached out to Ara based on his Yelp reviews. I can do a lot of work around the house...but not doors. Or painting. I hate painting. I'd rather dig a 10 foot hole in the ground than paint. Sorry. I digress. Ara showed up on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend and told me what he thought needed to be done. But first he wanted to go to a hardware store (or two) to see if they had the materials necessary. He found them and asked when I wanted him to do the work. I assumed it'd be a week from today, but when I asked if he could do it today he paused, nodded, and said, "Sure." He reconstructed the part of my door jam that had bothered me for 18 years - and made me glad I didn't try to do it myself. AND he did the painting!!! Thank you, Ara! You were great to work with and I'm definitely keeping your contact info! read more

Ara's work is clean, professional, on time, responsive and reasonably priced. He is a no nonsense kind of guy that clearly takes pride in his work and took care of something we got other quotes for that were more than double the price. He seemed like a busy guy that has a lot of work going on so it's best to allow him a few days to respond and get you on his schedule. He also was able to give a quote from a photo and come in person to confirm the quote and got us on the schedule in his first opening appointment time. We'll definitely be sending more work his way as we need it. For reference he fixed our siding on our house that was coming off and did it in a very professional way that barely even appears like anything was wrong with it in the first place. read more

I can't say enough good things about Ara Handyman! He fixed a tricky laundry issue for me -- the washer door couldn't open fully because of a tight space, and he came up with a brilliant solution. He carefully cut and widened the doorway so I could open my washer door completely. Ara is extremely meticulous, hardworking, and neat. His work was beyond amazing -- clean, precise, and done with so much care. On top of that, his prices were very reasonable. I would totally, totally recommend him in a heartbeat! Ara did an awesome job fixing doors in our house! Highly recommend him! The price was very fair as well!

Ara was a joy to work with. As a new homeowner, it's really hard to find a handyman who's detail oriented, responsive, punctual, and just overall nice. Ara was very responsive to my requests even while he was on vacation and texted me back first as soon as he got back from vacation. He was able to come in on a Saturday to caulk my shower and kitchen sink- all at a reasonable price. He even texted me after the job was completed to make sure that everything was ok. He addressed my questions promptly and put me at ease. I'm glad he's located close to me so that I can text him for any other future concerns. read more

Ara was great to work with. He was responsive and polite from the start, and even came out the same day I reached out. He fixed my drywall issue quickly and did a really clean, professional job. What stood out most was that he came up with a creative solution instead of just doing a basic patch, which made the end result look much better. He also cleaned up everything before leaving, which I really appreciated. Would definitely hire him again. read more

Hired Ara to replace an exhaust fan and he diligently worked through a few of the complications of it (fitting a new fan into a spot where a much older [and different size] fan had sat) absolutely without complaint and/or issue. Was also very accommodating picking up a fan (and other items to improve the job) at minimal cost. Really friendly and helpful guy who you can tell just loves his job, even refusing a tip. Will definitely be giving him a call for any future jobs, big or small! read more

Ara Handyman responded to my request literally within 5 min, drove down to my home the same day and gave a very reasonable and fair estimate. He arrived for the planned work exactly at the promised time. The did a very professional and accurate work (removed the old hood and installed a new one). As the listing agent for a Burbank condo, I needed work done quickly and right the first time to get rid of mold under the kitchen sink and put everything back in its proper place. The mold remediation company disassembled most of the kitchen and removed the affected wood. Replacing the missing parts and reassembling the kitchen was the job for which I hired Ara. The price he bid was not the lowest, but it was fair, and much lower than some other estimates I received. Ara agreed to meet with me and to start the work very quickly, and he accelerated his work to help me keep escrow on schedule. When the scope of the job turned out to be more than we discussed in the beginning, he was up-front and flexible. The price tag grew accordingly, but in a fair manner--he didn't take advantage of the urgency of the situation. Ara's work was high-quality and thorough. It was a pleasure to work with him, and I wouldn't hesitate to engage him again. read more
