Foundry 317 is along the canal right on Westfield Boulevard. Foundry 317 focuses on home decor and furniture. I clearly arrived right at the tail-end of the holiday season and a good number of the items either had a holiday theme or fit within the holiday season. Items included antiques, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, festive accents, candles, and other overall housing items. Foundry 317 has a parking lot, though I was actually wheeling there. There's a small ramp up to the sidewalk if you approach it from the right (facing Foundry 317). The doorway is pretty workable and I found the interior to be surprisingly accessible (though I will admit I was taking extra caution given some of the prices!). As I was wheeling, I knew it was pretty unlikely I'd actually buy anything on this visit as it would have been difficult to carry back to my car. However, I definitely saw some items I loved and can easily see myself returning in the near future. The employee I encountered was friendly, the environment was warm and inviting, and I really loved some of the smaller items. I'm a candle freak and definitely would like to return for those. I've always found this section of Westfield Blvd. a little hit-and-miss. The sidewalk is kind of cracked and it's somewhat uneven, however, there's much to love here and I loved the efforts toward accessibility. This is definitely a little gem. I'd seen it before, however, I've never been by when they were open. I finally got the chance to visit, and I'm definitely impressed. I'll be back.

They have a lot of great classes they offer each month. They have a large variety of items from new to vintage and you can really tell the owner is picky with whom she allows to set up in her shop. The shop itself is really big and set up so elegantly you could easily wander and shop for an hour. Kathy's shop is a definite must see when you are strolling around Fortville. I just wish I took more pictures to share but i was so drawn into looking around i forgot. This town is also a great place for some amazing fall pictures or photographers in general. Don't forget to check out the gorgeous benches and outdoor decor while you are there;)

They were having a little wine party in the store to celebrate Small Business Saturday and the mood was very festive. It seems like a fun place to hang out, and a very calming atmosphere, lot of room between fixtures in the store and a little seating area. The clothes are probably for the 20-mid 40 something crowd. I didn't find anything for myself but saw a lot of things for my daughter. I did buy a soy candle that was locally made in Fishers. The saying on the glass jar reminded me of someone and will make a perfect hostess gift.

I loved that I could see their beautiful holiday bouquets, gifts and decor on their website before ordering. I was able to order everything online and it was super easy and quick. The owner called me the next day with drop-off info and she was so sweet and friendly on the phone. The flowers were delivered on time and my grandma said that they smelled amazing. I was able to add a note to our bouquet too and it felt so wonderful that my grandma got that surprise without me being able to leave the house. Thank you!

I arrived at 10 a.m. right when the garden opens, I noticed that there were just three or four other customers walking around looking at flowers. There is no clear marking as to who works here and who is a customer so I walked around saying hello to every person I approached, hoping that someone would stop and ask me if I needed help with anything. That was not the case. When I finally did see who I believed to be an employee, I approached her and said hello. I received no answer or response, as if she was distracted and had better things to do. I walked around a little bit further before deciding that I wasn't going to spend my money somewhere where I couldn't even have the employees greet me. So I came back to my car and sat down for about 10 minutes to just observe the interactions with other customers. I noticed that the female worker who I approached was in fact an employee and did help other customers with any of their questions and needs. I'm not going to make any assumptions as to why I was not helped as other customers were, but if I were asked if this would be somewhere I would refer a friend or family member to the answer would be no.
