Yasser is in a category of his own. In 2023, he completely replaced the front stucco on my Victorian building, with a focus on weatherproofing. The project had unexpected twists and turns - he was extremely professional at informing me of the options along the way, providing his expert opinion with grace and ease. The project was done at a reasonable price, at extremely high quality with attention to detail, and constant communication along the way (he even sent photos and videos!). Undergoing such a large project was extremely stressful. It was a joy to have Yasser + his crew onsite. Some words that describe Yasser - trustworthy, honest, attentive, thoughtful, and time aware. Yasser is now my "go to" contractor for other jobs on the property (e.g., interior drywall replacement / repair). If you're considering working with Yasser - don't hesitate. You'll be happy you did!

You can be promised one thing verbally but the end result can be unsatisfactory. Your construction may all come to a halt as I had to have to wait for Delta come back several times to finally give me satisfactory work. Normally a company gets better with years of service, I can't say that this is my experience with Delta Hardwood Flooring. Johnny is a nice enough person but he handles the bids. I can't vouch for his crew as the work is inconsistent. It depends who you get.

I thought about not writing up this review since Johnny's a nice guy, but after thinking about it,…read moreowe myself and the Yelp community a review of my experience with Delta Floors. It should've been a red flag for me when the wood Delta had delivered was in the wrong size and finish then what I had ordered. But my friend used them and said other than leaving the place a bit messy, she was happy with her finished floor. So I said not a deal breaker and took another day off work to have the correct wood delivered. Delta said they could finish over the weekend, in 2-3 days, since it was a small space, prefinished, glue down application. They came Saturday but then all of a sudden said they had to glue down only part of the floor and come back on Monday to finish the rest "for the glue to dry so they can make sure the floor is installed straight". I think they more likely had a competing job, but long story short, it took them until Thursday (so I had to delay my trip out of town) to finish the floor. Cons: - I came home one day to find them installing in the kitchen without tearing up the linoleum and without installing underlayment which is against condo rules. I made them tear up the install and lay underlayment but I never would've known if I didn't come to check on them. This was a huge issue to me. - Two boxes of open wood (e.g., non-returnable) are leftover which is waay more than overage necessary for emergency repairs down the road. - The fireplace transition looks awful since they didn't undercut the brick like professional installers normally do. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/X6OeEGhri2Na-yvUCdYbdw?select=PvWnMZJtSLthnwTMIIYdHg - One side of the kitchen was uneven because the baseboard wasn't taken off before the install. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/X6OeEGhri2Na-yvUCdYbdw?select=EWk5RrvbdDGdWObIpJy0OA - There are 2 big scratches on the floor from when they put the fridge back. - Carpet was left on the closet transition. - The guys also left a lot of glue on the floors, wall and furniture as well as a lot of sawdust everywhere. - They didn't leave the condo hallway clean so my HOA was not happy with me. - I was told all the insurance information I needed for the HOA was on the website but it wasn't, and led to a lot of problems with my HOA. - They drank all my soda in the fridge and used all my paper towels instead of bringing their own supply. - My toilet handle was broken and a hole left in the drywall without fixing or telling me. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/X6OeEGhri2Na-yvUCdYbdw?select=3QD1D_Xw8S_AUCuRFKfWMg I felt like I paid a lot of money and got a less than brand new product. You'd never tolerate paying thousands of $$ for a new car only to get a dirty dented lemon to drive off the lot and you shouldn't have to with a floor either. And other than the cost of the wood, it ended up being over $6 per sq ft so definitely not cheap. I witheld last payment and made them repair the scratches in front of the fridge. However, Delta claims they didn't do it since that wasn't part of their 'procedure' which pissed me off. I don't care what your procedure is, I came home to find a not so brand new floor; so are you implying I did it? There was just a LOT of excuses throughout the whole process. * "Oh, the wood you wanted is too narrow so it took longer (so a half inch narrower than what you thought led to 6 days instead of the 2-3? 2.5 inches isn't THAT narrow. And it was frustrating to come home on a delayed job to find one guy took off at 2:30pm on multiple days). * "The guys didn't break the toilet 'cause otherwise they would've told me (then who broke it?!). * "It's not our job to clean when we leave, you should hire professional cleaners for that (are you kidding me?!). * "The brick on your fireplace is uneven and we don't undercut brick" (sorry, but I don't think it's the client's responsibility to subcontract your work out, if you can't do it, hire someone that can...I'm paying you to get the job done. p.s. here's a video of how to do it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV2G7gJh2es). Anyway, I felt like I had to post the review since all the other reviews are so different from my experience and maybe they'll make some improvements. Could be the experience is better with on-site finished, nail-down installations but definitely wouldn't use them if I knew what I know now. I felt like I constantly had to be on-site to keep an eye on them which is a job in itself, and overall, an 'Eek!' experience but bumped up a star since they did fix most of the issues (although they tried to take shortcuts for repairs like only re-installing baseboard on half of the wall since you have to look to the side of the fridge to see the rest --seriously?!) and since Johnny's so nice (but he won't be on-site, you'll just deal with him for the payments/specs).

The reviews here seem to indicate they do good work. If only their contract was as good. I…read moreconsidered using them for a painting project, but their contract is terrible - it indemnifies them for anything but willful misconduct, which means YOU are on the hook if their scaffolding fails due to their mistake, for example. Anyone hurt on the job, any damage incurred, etc., as a result of their negligence is YOUR problem, so be sure to have really good insurance. They expect you to inspect their work and certify the scaffolding ON YOUR OWN, placing all responsibility for their work ON YOU. I'm not a scaffolding expert and it's not my job to do this - I just want my house painted. Go in with open eyes and read your contracts before signing! Update: reading this owner's response says everything. He's in complete denial about my concerns. Their contract clearly states they are not liable for anything but malfeasance. That means if there is something wrong with their equipment or they are negligent (i.e. they don't do their job right, which they are supposed to be experts at) it's your problem, not theirs. If they put up scaffolding and it collapses due to their error, you are the one who will be sued by whoever is hurt, not them. I have no ability to inspect scaffolding to ensure a job is done right, so I basically have no idea if the work was done competently or not. This is non-standard and, frankly, substandard contract wording. They can talk all day about how great they are, but those are just words. I'm sure they do an amazing job. But all it takes is one mistake, even by the best of the best, and suddenly you, the client, are on the hook for potentially millions of dollars due to THEIR mistake. They should stand behind their work with more than just words, and they should be insured, so it shouldn't be an issue at all. And to say I have not done business with them is false. I have had many back-and-forth emails with them on this topic. I have reviewed their contract, attempted to understand their point of view, and asked for changes to the contract. This is called doing business, or at least attempting to do so. Every discussion skirted around this issue, and attempted to misdirect away from the issue, just like their comment here. Every answer they gave was the same as this one: our work is amazing, why can't you just trust us, we can't be responsible even if we screw something up, because who knows what you, the customer, are doing to our scaffold, blah blah blah. Nobody is saying they should be liable if their equipment is tampered with or misused. But they should be responsible for doing the job right and they should put it in words in a contract, like every other company on the planet. There is NO WAY any homeowner should be working with a company that makes the customer liable for their errors. The punchline is, I got a different company to do the job, and they were wonderful to work with and had a normal contract. No brainer. Update 2: the vendor here says it's misleading for me to talk about negligence in my comments. Again, they are missing the point. The point of a contract is precisely to discuss things such as negligence, to call out clearly in the wording who is responsible for theoretical acts of negligence. No one is accusing anyone here of engaging in negligence, which would indeed be quite misleading. I really wish this vendor could think and respond logically. I think this just goes to further illustrate the frustration I had in discussing something so simple as a straightforward boilerplate contract like every other contractor in the world has. To the vendor, please do not comment further. This is quite tiresome. I'm extremely fair and measured in my dealings with vendors, and you could be working on my job right now if your contract was as fair as the ones I've had from every other vendor who has ever worked on my property. End of story.

It is a complex job involving a variety of skills--carpentry, finish carpentry and stucco. Yonis and his team at K&B did a great job. We would definitely hire them again. A couple of high points: they did the job promptly. Unlike some of the other projects around the neighborhood, they didn't start with a bang and then limp across the finish line weeks later. They worked every day from start to finish, arrived on time and all of the workers were always courteous. They worked cleanly--each day and each tradesman cleaned up when their work was finished. There were no piles of trash around the yard! They showed great respect for our home, yard and all of the materials (those doors weren't cheap!). Yonis is a good communicator who keep us appraised of who was coming and when, and if something changed, he let us know.
