Aquavets (Shawn) came out to give us an estimate on May 28, 2022. We thought he sounded real good so we called and said we would like to have them put in our cistern. Since then we have made multiple calls and sometimes he calls back and gives us lots of nice excuses, but never follows up. He wanted $1500 down. Fortunately, other people on this site left reviews that said they paid him money and he never produced the work, so we told him we would give him the down payment when materials were delivered to the site. I hate to write this because the initial communication and interactions were so positive but things went way downhill from there. I got an initial call back really quickly and the team came out to install a new scupper box for us as scheduled. In the midst of the work, Shawn suggested a refinement to the plan that sounded like a great idea. We agreed to the extra fee and to waiting a couple of weeks for the parts to come in to finish the project. Because we were going to put in a drain that would come up further away from the house than originally planned, Shawn suggested that we not complete the downspout since it would just need to be replaced in the two weeks when they came back to complete the new scope of work. That seemed reasonable and it was early March so it didn't seem concerning that we had a downspout ending feet above the ground. At the end of March, not having heard any updates, I called and left a message. I didn't get a reply. I called again, and again, I texted again and again. I got nothing. No reply at all. We paid in full for work that wasn't completed and were left hanging for months on the project that they themselves recommended. Super disappointing and unprofessional. We've had to pay to finish the downspout and have wasted time trying to get any sort of reply. I could not recommend them. Whatever initially positive response you might receive, you can't trust that it will continue. read more

I have spoken to the owner who apologized for the mix up, explaining that his assistant didn't do the expected work and has been let go. I needed gutters. I called several local installers. It would take days to weeks just to get a quote. I eventually called Shawn and Aqua Vets. I was amazed at the respond and professionalism. Shawn was able to give me quote right then and there over the phone using an aerial view of my house. It was a great price. I had him come out to confirm and he was almost dead on. Whatever you do please stay away from Aqua Vets for gutter installation! The business owner is very unprofessional, is full of lies and excuses, and yells at the customer. When the estimator came out to look at the project he seemed to be very informative and wanted to help. The company seemed eager to earn our business to the point that they price matched another company we were going to chose originally. I really wished I had stuck with the other company because it went down hill from here. I had to call this company several times to even get on the books for them to come out and start the project. Once a time was scheduled, they failed to show up. We received an excuse from the Owner stating they were behind on installations due to the inability to get materials. This would have been nice to know before we agreed to starting the project and we could have at least received a phone call letting us know they were having to reschedule to start/do the project. Eventually, after many no shows and excuses, the team showed up to start the project. At this point, we should have cancelled with them and called the other company. Not only did it take them several months to complete the installation when it should have only taken them the maximum of two days, but the installation was done poorly and we had to hire another company to redo the whole thing, plus other companies to fix the damage they caused to our roof, fascia, and stucco. When they came out, they placed the down spouts in the wrong area and when they removed them to place them where they should have originally, they left holes in the walls and refused to fix them. So we had to hire a stucco company to come out and repair the holes and a painter to repaint the areas where the stucco was repaired. In addition, they never got the pitch correct on the gutters and with every rain the water would over flow to the point that we were wondering why we even had the gutters. The Owner kept giving us excused that it was not their installation but that the gutters were full of tree debris. This was untrue because we cleaned them out once a week and even had our trees trimmed to ensure they were away from the house. He also kept trying to sell us gutter guards. Why would we buy gutter guards from him when the original gutter installation wasn't even correct yet? The team had to come out so many times and try and correct the poor installation that they began causing more damage to the fascia and the roof. We have had to have a roof company come out and fix tears on the edge and all of our fascia replaced. We have tried time and time again to speak with the Owner to come up with a solution to all the problems that occurred and we are slapped in the face with excuses, lies, and being yelled at. I am really surprised this company is still around. We even asked him if we could just get part or all of our money back and he can come get the materials he used. He refused. We thought about taking him to court to recover all the money that we were out due to he and his teams poor quality of work but felt it was a waste of time. We just needed to chalk this up to experience and move forward with companies that know what they are doing and care about the customer. read more

So totally impressed with the workmanship and quality of the gutters, boxes and downspouts that were installed. We asked for oversized boxes because of the amount of water our roof gets and they were able to custom-design our gutters to take care of the problem. The best part was they trenched an area and placed a PVC pipe underground so that you can't see it. Everything drains into a swale so perfectly. The price was right, too. Their workers were extremely conscientious, highly skilled, strong and very capable of walking up a 40' ladder to reach the area they had to work on. They took their time and did a great job. So glad we chose them over the other gutter companies we had interviewed. read more

Aqua Vets installed new gutters and fascia covers, the price was good, however after agreeing to use Aqua Vets the problems started, and then got worse. They didn't start when they said they would, I couldn't contact owner, to find out why, I found out later he was out of the country on vacation, then delays, and quality of work was not satisfactory. After installation I noticed several leaks, I called and was told they would be out tomorrow, then was told not they would be out the following day, now it is 7 weeks later and I still have not seen them, I had another company fix the mistakes. Shawn and his team did a great job installing my 3 channel irrigation system from scratch. Very high quality system and Shawn is extremely friendly/knowledgeable. I had an issue where one of my emitters cracked (through no fault of his) I gave Shawn a call and he was out the same day with a spare part to fix it... customer service is superb. We had this business put gutters on our rental house. That process seemed to go ok overall, with a few minor issues on timing to completion and paperwork. I can't rate the work itself yet since I don't know much about quality in this area and it hasn't rained since completion. However, we then asked them to evaluate two water issues at our house. It was not a big job, but I was told he would help me and I also asked for an estimate on a full harvesting system as we might do that in the future. He came out and promised estimates later that day. Subsequently, two full weeks of terrible communication went by and finally he stopped responding to me altogether. The concept of valued customer, customer retention, and customer loyalty are lost here. I value honest and timely communication above just about anything. To string someone along, when you are not willing or interested in completing the work, is terrible.
