    On August 18, 2025 I contacted this company from a plumbing company's recommendation. I was having…read morean acute leak come from the electrical conduit to the well. The person said "we just need to spray some foam in the conduit, go to work and we'll be back in two days to spray." I come back from work and my basement had wading water from corner to corner. It cost me almost $3400 to clean out and dry my basement and hire a well establishment to fix the problem which was at the well head and not in the house or foundation. I have told all my acquaintances and friends, as well as the well company I did employ, that should they require well services, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES engage Stothoff. Their lackadaisical attitude and false assurances of taking care of the problem will cost you not only in terms of dollars, but peace of mind as well. Their "fix" of spraying expanding foam has been met with shock and disbelief by all whom I have told. They didn't even open up the well cover to investigate if a problem was there (which it actually turned out to be). I offered them the opportunity to rectify my expense and was met with "I had back surgery" by Dave who said he was the owner (I'm sorry for that health concern but it has nothing to do with rectifying his customer's problem) and then "you're just a disgruntled homeowner who is trying to get us to pay for your repair." He also said they had been in business since the 1880's and my writing this review wouldn't make any difference. Probably it won't but I am compelled to tell this horror story. He claimed that there had been water problems in the basement for a long time and that is simply not true. I am not a vindictive person or looking to grift a legit company, but their work ethic and the experience I had with them is beyond the pale. I can't even conscientiously give them a single star. They don't deserve it.

However, I am very disappointed by the interaction, quality of service and approach. 1. They are very difficult to get to, getting appointments take a lot of time, and everything needs a visit. A lot of competition are ok investing in a bit of advice, especially if they have your business 2. I did an upgrade recently on their systems to close a glaring design gap. Due to the very limited availability, I could not be present. The quality of the installation was below par and I would say, dangerous. Having paid top dollar, I would have expected them not to cut corners. 3. After reading manufacturer specs, I can see the fault in the overall design. This is worrying as they are meant to be the experts. I understand they have been around for long and have a captive market. Not sure if this is the only way to do business

The home I moved into last year had old equipment in the basement (not hooked up) with their name on it. In January I called them to ask if someone could show me what it was, if it could still work, and how it might work if we wanted to start service. I booked the appointment, tech came out, and at the end of the visit informs me that the charge is $90 for a service call. I didn't pay, explaining that no one told me there would be a fee, and that I would have passed on the call if there had been one. Since, I have been getting monthly bills for this fee. I have called and even been into the office numerous times; it has taken literally *9 months* to speak with a supervisor (who oversees the department). When he finally called me back today and I explained the situation to him, his first response is to tell me, verbatim, that it's "the dumbest thing I ever heard" that I would expect a "service call" and not to pay. I spoke calmly with him, not raising my voice, told him I didn't appreciate being spoken to that way, and tried to explain further my position. He ultimately, begrudgingly, agreed to credit the charge but told me not to call again if I wanted service, and hung up on me, saying he had a lot of work to do with other people who are customers. I have rarely experienced such disrespect, especially from someone whose job it is to oversee a customer-based service function. I would highly encourage you to reconsider before doing business with this company.

    I have been a customer of ReadyRefresh (now "Primo Brands") for years, with zero issues. Water was…read morealways delivered on time. Website easy to navigate. Prices decent. Easy to modify orders or delay them. Since the merger with Primo Brands, my water delivery has been delayed by a week. After doing some research I found hundreds upon hundreds of comments by other customers experiencing what I'm experiencing: unexplained delivery delays that keep getting pushed back; a useless chat bot instead of a human being to help resolve issues online; long hold times on the phone that result in being hung up on; unexplained charges and price increases; difficulty canceling accounts. I want to cancel my subscription/account with this company and can't get a hold of anyone to do so. The useless bot says I need to call. There are at least a dozen different phone numbers you can call but they all result in the same thing: being on hold for an hour or more and then getting hung up. Forget, too, about using the "call back" option. I tried that and nothing. They have increased their prices, too. I will likely have to contact my credit card company and ask for their help. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If I cannot get my account canceled within the week I will contact the state AG.
