I came here with my kids just to let them see the fish. There isn't much of a parking lot here, so I wouldn't recommend parking in it, it's very tough to get in and out of. Street parking is available. Very impressed with the selection of fish in the space. I had no idea they cost so much! Lots to look at. we felt welcomed in the space. Looks like a good starting point for someone looking to start an aquarium.

Water lettuce from aqualand doing great!

You can spend hours at this store in fascination and awe and still have no idea where to start. I have not seen a wider variety of fish anywhere else as here! A lot of aquarium stores have a lot of the well known fish we have all seen and came across before but not a lot of unique things such as floating plants, specific shrimp etc but this place has it all! Definitely my new home away from home!

Support this business!! I came here to buy my first fish and just set up a basic fish tank with no filtration system. I am not looking to create an aquarium at this moment, but if I was, the selection at this store is great! I have to emphasize that the staff members were extremely nice and super helpful!! The store was busy and near closing time when I visited. I was asking a bunch of questions about setting up my tank and fish care generally (because I am determined to not kill my first fish haha). The staff did not rush me at all and answered all of my questions - even the ridiculous ones. This is also just a fun store to pop into because they have turtles too and so many fun fish to look at. I went here on a Friday and it was a fun way to begin my weekend. The prices of the fish and supplies are also very fair. I paid about $10 for my Siamese Fighting Fish. All the creatures at the store seem to be well cared for, and the store was organized, neat, and clean. If I decide to build something more elaborate than just a simple fish tank, like a small aquarium - I will certainly be coming here. You can also come in at any time and they will give you a container of aged water. I was told this is useful for maintaining healthy water for your fish and also useful for when you clean the tank and give "new" water - the aged water helps reduce shocking the fish due to the change in environment. I'm learning, and my fish (Moksha) is still alive! Yay!:)

Great place

Nice spot with an incredible assortment of fish and supplies. Nice tank displays throughout store. Fish prices seem to be average to the area although I checked out the Discus prices which are lower than the other locations I have visited. Fresh and Salt water fish are well kept and fish are healthy. The only minus is parking ...minimal and tight.

Not only is this store located in a very pretty and interesting building, it was very bright, open and full of fully landscaped aquariums with plants & fish everywhere. As soon as me and my friends walked in we were approached by an employee immediately. My friends went to look around and I asked a few questions. The employee gave me a lot of good answers as well as recommendations and items that might interest me in the store. The store is extremely well stocked, with items I've only been able to find online before. Me and my friends had a ton of fun looking at the tanks around the store and I good some great inspiration looking around. I got a few items including a snail trap (another item I've only seen online!) and the cashier was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the shop. The store below even had an enormous reef tank installed and maintained by the store employees. It is always a wonderful experience coming to a store where everyone is so passionate about their craft, and I can't wait to come back

I love this place!…read more You know how your kid bugs you for a fish tank and promises to take care of it only to lose interest as soon as the first pair of guppies dies? Well, that was me over 50 years ago except I never lost interest. I've been keeping fish and visiting fish stores around the country for my entire life. The people from World Of Fish who started RiverShore Aquariums have done a great job. Located not far from the original World of Fish, RiverShore has clean tanks, friendly and knowledgeable staff and they are super keyed in on planted tank setups. These days my tanks are relatively simple just to keep things easy, rocks and driftwood mostly, but I've been wanting to do a planted tank for a while. I know the basics but had some questions on substrate, plant selection and lighting for what is basically going to be a freshwater nanotank. The staff person who helped me was super knowledgeable, answered my questions and gave me some good advice for getting started. They had a good selection of different kinds of gravel as well as an assortment of driftwood and rocks. I liked that they have a table where you can do a little aquascaping trial and error before you make a final selection. The fish were high quality and appeared healthy. Most were smaller species suitable for planted tanks. I even discovered a new species that I had never heard of - anchor catfish. Super cool and perfect for my little nanotank. I know enough about fish and have been to enough fish stores to know which ones are really good. Rivershore is at the top of the list if you live in the Twin Cities, and especially if you're interested in giving planted tanks a try. Even if its plants aren't your thing or you are new to the hobby, I'd checkout Rivershore for your first aquarium.
