To say when we were timid when we came to Suzi would be an understatement due to our previous experience with the other instructor. I knew within the first minute we had made the right decision. She is patient but also knows how to get down to business. There are Barbie and Ken dolls that she helps the kids calm down with as they can play with them or use them during the lesson. Along with that, she has fun phrases like "sauce the pizza" , "butterfly starfish", and many more to make the kids laugh and have fun while they go thru this amazing growing process. I would recommend Suzi to any of my friends kids l! Go check her out!

Unfortunately, it turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. Lesson after lesson was canceled, usually at the last minute. The reasons were consistently blamed on the weather, even on days when the radar was completely clear (I've included screenshots), or because the pool supposedly wasn't "hot and ready" despite the lessons being scheduled in advance. On one occasion, I had already arrived at her house before being told the lesson was canceled. The only full lesson my son received was one 15-minute session. During the second lesson, he was only in the pool for 6 minutes before it ended. In total, after paying for 20 lessons, my son spent only 21 minutes in the pool. When I requested a refund because the lessons were repeatedly canceled, I was initially told I would be refunded. Instead, I received less than what was owed. When I questioned it, I was told that "2 lessons is a different price than 20," even though the second lesson lasted only 6 minutes and wasn't even completed. The communication was unprofessional throughout the process. Instead of taking responsibility for the repeated cancellations, I was repeatedly told, "I make the call," regardless of the actual weather conditions. As a parent, the most disappointing part was watching my son get excited for swim lessons over and over, only to have them canceled at the last minute. We rearranged our schedules multiple times, drove to lessons, and still left without him getting the instruction we paid for. I understand that weather can occasionally affect outdoor swim lessons, and safety should always come first. However, the repeated cancellations, inconsistent explanations, incomplete lessons, and refund issues made this a very disappointing experience. I hope sharing this helps other parents make an informed decision.

A couple times of sucking water up her nose in the bath had me worried that she would be scared. We have rotated through many instructors at this point and they have all been great in their own way! I appreciate how each one takes the time to explain WHY we are doing the next activity and what gross/fine motor skills we are working on. I also appreciate that there is a new lesson plan every 2 weeks. We went to a different swimming company for a month prior to switching to Swim Safari and I felt like we were aimlessly doing the same few activities over and over and I never understood what we were trying to achieve because the instructors were not explaining anything. Every single employee is welcoming and has taken the time to know and remember my daughter. It has been a great outlet for her to make new friends as well. She has made great improvements since starting and soon she will be going into the water without me! We have also been thankful for the amount of class options, both the days and times. Keeping a toddler on a schedule is important! My ONLY suggestion is that the locker rooms could be a little warmer. It gets cold when your soaking wet and have to get a toddler dressed first.

He has learned so much and shown so much improvement w motor skills and excitement for the water. I love the variety they have in activities and are thoughtful on the different tactics to practice survivor experiences as well as strength. Of course we do have our favorite teachers, but all of them really are well trained, friendly and pay great attention to the students. They have great changing stations, plenty of room to prepare before class and clean-up after - even for the parents, since we have to join the baby classes till they can attend on their own. We only have 1 kid, but we see how parents of 2 or more are enjoying bringing their kids to attend classes around similar times. Our only complaint is that the school is so far from us!! I wish they had more branches on the west / north side - but we tried other swimming schools but they either don't have well trained teachers, host classes in adult gyms (which I don't feel comfortable with), or lack a strong community. So that's why we choose to make the average 1.3 hour commute (total) every week bc it's worth it.
