AWEFUL scam of a business. Where do I begin. I ordered a small turf scrubber, 329$ sent it back brand new, money out of my own pocket for shipping, as I cannot afford the PayPal fee for it after receiving it which is why I sent it back, and it was not going to work for me anymore, I ordered a medium instead. These idiots refunded the wrong item. And they didn't even provide a full refund. They tried to tell me it's their shipping fees. What shipping fees?! You mean the 9.99 I paid?! That's not 28$ you took back. There is no where that provides this 28$ shipping fee, and definitely not in my invoice which shows the total I paid for. You cannot do this. This is illegal practice. Not only that, they refuse to refund the correct one because they made a mistake and refunded the wrong one. This is not customers fault, you own the business, you are responsible for what happens, I'm not your daddy, I'm not going to hold your hand and teach you how to run a business. Grow up aquacave. You cannot manipulate customer into sending back a product already paid for so you'll refund the correct one, this is also illegal practices. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience dealing with this company! Buyers BEWARE!!! I placed a large order for a Red Sea Aquarium setup. After returning a few items that I didn't need, this company charged me shipping and then deducted the shipping charges both ways from my product refund. And they still never refunded all my money. They won't call you back and you have to chase down everything. If you are uncertain about anything you buy from Aqua Cave, good luck getting your money back if you return it. Read the other reviews, they don't lie. It's all the same stuff and same complaints from other customers bad experiences. I wish I had read these reviews before buying a single thing from them. I'm a local customer with Aquacave, I always do a will call pickup. My experience been nothing but positive, my orders have always been correctly filled brand new products. If there is an out of stock item, it happened once, they have always emailed or called me to let me know. The one time I had an issue with an overflow box they promptly accepted the return with a full refund. I have placed probably over 60 orders from them in the last two years, I think they are great. read more

Terrible retailer. I placed an order during a sale in which the item would be shipped from the manufacturer made to order. A week later I received an email stating that the item is out of stock and my order was canceled. It turns out the item price was changed on their website for sale at a higher price 400 dollars more. It had nothing to do with it being out of stock because it was made to order. They saw an opportunity to make more money and did not honor the sale price that I purchased it for. I ordered a light fixture during black Friday. My ship to address was added and the price of the fixture totaled and I hit the "order" button. A few hours later I receive an email stating that my shipping quote is $151.43. First I did not ask for a quote as the shipping price on the website said $9.99. Since this was a black Friday option, I expected this order to be processed. Unfortunately, their poorly functioning ecommerce site can't properly calculate the proper shipping cost when checking out. I do not recommend ordering from this company as it cannot be trusted and it's almost a "bait and switch" practice with their shipping calculation. read more

Terrible company!! May have been a decent company in the past. Order a $100 salifert test kit. They sent one that was extremely old and about to expire and one of the bottles was busted. I called and explained to them. They said I would have to pay for return shipping. So I boxed them back up went down to the post office. It was going to cost another $27 dollars to send them back plus wait another 2 weeks for a refund according to the gentleman I spoke with. So it was not worth paying the extra money to have them shipped and jump through all of the hoops hoping to get my money back so I just tossed the kits in the trash. Wow I am so depressed with this company. I order a whole setup from them made by Current USA. They sent me 2 package both incomplete, they decided without consulting to down grade my bundle to a lower quality and outdated setup. Which made no sense, I called and spoke to a guy named Albert who said he would fix it and call me back. After an hour of not receiving a phone call I opened a support ticket (pointless). Waited 2 hours with no response so I called again in which Albert stated he was waiting for the warehouse to which open 30 minutes prior (he forgot). He called me back to tell me they were sending the missing parts form the California warehouse, so I asked for the part number of the item and if it will come complete with all the proper accessories. He stated he didn't and would call again with a response, never did I called 3 hours later and he just told yes it does. Never provided a tracking number or anything like that. So I ask for tracking information on the support ticket, a few hours later the ticket was closed by them. I reopened it asking the question and again it was closed by them, with no response given. I opened and threaten them to send everything back which was $800 of equipment. I'll update if I ever hear anything but by far the worst service. ***Update, So a replacement product was shipped to me at no charge and now my system is complete. However the lack of service just to finally get an answer was ridiculous. No one would get me a supervisor to fix the issue, so I had to use the chat feature that was finally online to get my order completed. I still have a good $500 of items to order for my aquarium but I'll be spending my money at another site. I used Bulk Reef for the remainder of my products and needless to say the order was place flawlessly and talking to the staff was very informative. They express that they hear bad things about Aquacave all the time and are happy to take their customers. They even gave Saltwater Aquarium good feedback, try them out. Hopefully this helps someone. Not even 1 star! I ordered almost $500 of tank accessories. Fedex mis delivered the package and I called aquacave who then told me it's not their problem...ok thanks! Well then fedex said I could submit a claim myself If Aquacave gave me a waiver. Aguacave refused to give me a waiver. Ok... Now Aquacave says they will submit claim.....2 months of calling Aquacave and FedEx I'm getting nowhere. FedEx had done everything they could including sending claim forms to Aquacave to fill in. Then Fedex tells me that Aquacave only insured my package for $100. That's probably why they would not file a claim.... Enters PAYPAL DISPUTE DEPARTMENT. Aquacave lied to PayPal, stating they filed a claim with FedEx and it got denied because pkg was delivered to my house. Even with the evidence using copies of FedEx emails explaining the situation, aqua cave continued lying to PayPal... In the end, PayPal returned my money. Buyer beware! I hate to accuse people of lying (not so much this time)so it was that or either extreme stupidity on Aquacave employees because I offered to do all the paperwork for them but.... I used to order everything from Aquacave and never had an issue. I recently placed an order and what I received was not what I expected based on the website description. After many attempts to call them to place a return I finally reached someone and was stunned to find out that they do not cover the return shipping fees even for long time customers like myself who have spent many thousands of dollars through them. After some back and forth on the phone I was told a supervisor/manager named Albert would call me back to cover the shipping charge. I never received a phone call. I called two more times and and left an email in hopes for Albert to reach out. Receiving no further help from Aquacave I decided to just suck it up and pay the $11 shipping fee, but by this point it has been over 40 days and their return window expires after 30 days. I am now stuck with a $70 product and Aquacave does not care that they lost a loyal customer who would have spent thousands more in the future. Clearly they do not need nor want my business any longer. FYI: I quickly learned that Bulk Reef Supply price matches everything, so all you need to do is use Aquacave lower price to get you a better deal on BRS. I didn't get that same experience on this third and last order. They decided to ship everything via ground even though some of the items qualified as 2 days free shipping. When I inquired, they said it was a mistake on their shipping department. All I got was a sorry. Updated: Received a call from AquaCave about 20 minutes after this posting. I ordered a tank as an upgrade for our fish after the lights died on our old tank. The tank shipped in a relatively reasonable amount of time; however, when we opened the tank, we discovered that there is a pattern of small cracks radiating from one of the corners of the tank, apparently from the welding. We did not want these hairline cracks to develop into a leak, so we contacted Aquacave using their support email. No response for several days. We tried calling them and left a message. They called back exactly once, left no message, and didn't reach out again. I've now tried a second email address. Customer service doesn't get much worse. read more

Order something online that said it was in stock , well 3 days after I purchased it I find out its not in stock ...almost a month later it gets sent out whole time Im bitting my tongue because I get things happen but it ended up being delivered while I wasn't home, but was excited to get Home only to find my package was not there called spoke to a nice guy who said he'd see what he could do and call me back, long story short I was told there is nothing they can do since fedex showed it was delivered asked to speak to a supervisor was informed he's busy on another call but if I'd like i could call back...REALLY!!!!! I emailed them on Friday for a returning label to exchange for a better one. They emailed me back on Tuesday said that I have to deal with manufacture. I called and talked to them. The package never arrived. I called the post office and told them, they informed me the package was left at my front porch, I don't even have a porch, anyway I never got the package, Post office says call Aquacave, so I called them a couple of times but they didn't even care at all and basically said to take it as a loss! I purchased a 15W Ultraviolet Replacement Bulb for my Classic Ultraviolet Sterilizer from AquaCave via Amazon.com. When I received the bulb via UPS it was found to be crushed within the highly damaged box. Called the guys at AquaCave and they promptly sent me out a replacement bulb for free. Didn't have to pay additional shipping costs. Sent them some pictures of the damaged bulb, to their info.aquacave.com email addy, so they could file their claim with the UPS folks. They were very friendly and stand behind their products! I reside in Florida and I will definitely be purchasing my aquarium products from this business in the future! First and last experience with this place. First I ordered an item through their website that was apparently not on their shelves and had been discontinued. Ok, not a big deal this can happen although most places will have an idea of what their stock is before checking out. So I ordered a different brand of the same item through them that they had stock on after speaking with someone in the warehouse. Item showed up in a timely manner but was defective. I called and was told that I need to deal with the manufacture on it and they couldn't replace it because they had no more on the shelf. 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting on some kind of action from the manufacturer and meanwhile Aquacave has washed their hands of it.
