Nice people but service is sloppy. Had them install a pool and had several issues. Service request form on web site does not work.

If I could redo one decision from 2026, it would be choosing Kustomscapes for our shotcrete pool…read moreinstallation. Don't repeat our mistake. The work was sloppy, communication was nearly impossible, and delays were constant. We signed a contract in March; it's now October, and we're still waiting for the pool cover. Our pool is small and simple, yet virtually every step came with errors that we had to discover and point out ourselves. The permit had the pool in the wrong part of the property. During excavation, we had to tell the crew that the bench seat was on the wrong side. After plaster and water fill, the pool leaked. The list goes on. There was also so much sloppy work. The signed contract specified coping materials that didn't exist, so we had to make those decisions again. The bluestone surround had large chips and cracks in the mortared pieces that had to be hammered out and replaced. The tile insets were uneven. The grading was a large project. After three days of work and many truckloads of dirt, the slope and surround still aren't smooth and the grade sends water toward the house. We'll now have to hire someone else with more landscaping experience to fix it. The company never had a work plan, couldn't tell us when the crews were coming. We'd look out and see folks in the yard. The few times we weren't home for summer vacations, error were made. When we identified problems, the company generally came back and fixed them--except the grading. But that became part of the issue: finding the problems, pointing them out, following up, and waiting for them to be fixed was stressful, added to the delays and took the enjoyment out of what should have been an exciting project. The company will point to the weather and water levels this summer, but there always seemed to be an excuse. But whatever the reason, our experience was a mess from start to finish. My advice is to choose a company that cares about the quality of its work, not one that races through the current job to get to the next. We're now paying other contractors to fix problems that should never have been ours to fix. Don't make our mistake. Don't choose this company based on contract price alone. Better yet, choose someone else.

I was very disappointed with my experience. Communication was extremely poor from start to finish…read more It was difficult to get anyone to answer the phone or return calls, and I was left waiting for updates with little to no follow-up. Customer service was lacking, and I ultimately decided to use a different pool company because I no longer felt confident that my concerns were a priority. I had to get approval from DNREC and Kent County after the fact vs Sparkle handling this. Second, their electrician cut corners and didn't place any of the 4x4s for the equipment and receptacle in concrete, just dirt which became loose after 2 weeks. I had to dig and pour concrete to strengthen the posts which they should have don. They even violated code by running some electrical only 8" in the ground, plus they installed a lower amp c/b then what was required and didn't say anything until I brought it to their attention then they changed it out and complained. Third, I have several areas on the concrete decking that have rust spots bleeding up through the concrete due to impurities/contamination in the mix or from their equipment. I brought this to their attention and they refuse to accept any responsibly or offer any assistance to remedy the problem ... just another thing they push back to the customer which is completely unacceptable. Bottom line: look somewhere else.

We fought daily/ weekly / monthly with that company for answers as to when our dream pool would be complete! We got no answers, or lies when we actually did speak with a person! It has been an absolute nightmare! Months lost, time and energy spent! Finally we had had enough, we contacted an attorney and looked into another pool company to come and finish our pool! We were given Patriot Pools ( Patrick) information along with several other companies from our bank. Patrick came out immediately and assessed our situation and came up with a plan. He is honest and extremely easy to work with ! All our questions were answered immediately. We signed with Patrick /Patriot Pools and within 2 weeks our pool was complete and filled with water! We are beyond grateful to Patriot Pools for not only taking on this project, but also for the countless hours he spent speaking with my family and providing help and direction. I wish we would have chosen Patriot Pools from the start, our experience would have been completely different! He has single handedly restored our faith in pool company's! He has been an absolute pleasure to work with! We highly recommend him and his company for any and all your pool needs!!! Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you!! Wish we could give 100 Extremely grateful customers, The Boehmer and Burnham families!
