I left a few voicemails last week and over the weekend regarding cancelling our service but have not heard back. The issue: We told the Technician not to come the last two times (actually, during the winter at all) but they came over anyway when we were not home (left a note that they sprayed). Our gates were locked as well. We were still charged, however. There is a Balance, but I don't feel we should pay that since we mentioned, twice, NOT to come spray and our gates were locked so no service could be performed. No complaints about the quality of the service or effectiveness. However, last summer we had a fruit fly infestation. I called and they said they could spray but mentioned our contract did not "cover" that insect. Thus, when we needed them, they could not or would not assist. I am dubious about hiring anyone to spray now. If I were compensated and treated fairly, I would consider not canceling and revising my review. We get a couple of Pest control solicitors a month as we're in a new neighborhood. The technology isn't that different from company to company, it's the Customer Service that will differentiate. I was considering telling a few friends that have recently purchased new homes to sign up with Aptive, but I will hold back on that for now. read more

I was very happy with our service all last year and have recommended several friends and family to them. This year has been different. Part of their service is you can call them if you see an influx in bugs and they will come back out and spray again, outside of your normal service schedule. I have been calling for almost 2 weeks now and the only thing they will do is take a message and tell me a scheduler will call me back. The scheduling team as not returned a single message, and we have spiders and webs ALL OVER. Their technicians have always been friendly and nice, and like I said the service was awesome last year. Not sure why they are having such a hard time this year. I understand it is probably their busy season but 2+ weeks just for a call back is ridiculous. read more

I have continually left message after message for re-service with no response. They over promise and under provide. The first service was good, they promised to be back out in 30 days to respray because of eggs, etc. They did not come. They came back out in 2 months and recharged me even though it should be every 3 months. I still have spider webs, wasps, ants, and everything else they said they would get rid of. I finally got a hold of a sales person over the phone by hitting a different number when calling in and all she could do was take another message. Just chatted with someone online and they promised a phone call yet again. I am highly disappointed. They are in breech of contract, a contract is two ways. I'm not a customer, but, the other day, I observed and overheard an interaction between one of their employees and a United States Postal Mail carrier. The Mail person very nicely asked the Aptive employee to please not block the mail box while servicing the house and the Aptive Employee went off on the Mail Person in a very insulting and loud manner. The Postal Employee drove off and when he returned after finishing the street's delivery, the Aptive employee started yelling at him again. This occured on East Oaks Drive in Fruit Heights, Utah. The one thing I decided after witnessing these actions by this out of control Aptive employee is, I would never want a company that employs a person like this providing pest control service at my home. read more

Wow. They sent an UNMASKED door-to-door solicitor to my house at 9:03PM. I have THREE signs on my door. "NO SOLICITORS", "Immunocompromised People in Home - Leave Packages" and "NEW BORN BABY SLEEPING - DO NOT KNOCK OR RING BELL". This solicitor stood there, read them all and then proceeded to KNOCK on my door at 9:03PM. This woke up my dogs and my 3 kids. I contacted other neighbors and he did this up and down my street. I called Aptive and they were very rude and unapologetic. If you are a parent of young children, you will understand what it takes to get your kids to sleep. They were up for over an hour after this solicitor woke them up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THAT SENDS SALES PEOPLE TO YOUR HOUSE PAST 9PM !!!! read more

Oh my goodness! I had Aptive - Harrison - come and spray my outdoors and indoors, they did less than half of my property and never came inside - and now 5 days later my yard is COVERED with spiderwebs! COVERED! I have NEVER seen so many spiderwebs! All over my vehicles, my garbage can that I just used 2 days ago, the fence - EVERYTHING! I am FREAKED OUT. I cannot believe what a nightmare this has been! Not only did they not do what I asked, but now I have MORE SPIDERS THAN BEFORE!!!!! :( I am not happy! In the 9 years that I have lived here I have never seen anything like this. I wish I could sue these guys, I am seriously freaked out. I don't dare go outside now. :( read more

We signed up for a quarterly pest control spray that is 89.00 each time. So far the two times this company has come out, we have watched them on our security system so the worst job. One time, a man walked around the house with his sprayer in hand, but not spraying. The next time, a different person came out and was watched on camera not even walking the perimeter of our home. I have been truly let down with this service because if I am paying 89.00 for a service I expect the staff to actually try to do a good job. I have everything on camera documenting the poor service. Always great service, very professional. I asked that the tech let me know when he was on his way. Kenneth did and was super courteous. Upon arrival he offered to wear foot protection, which in non pandemic times wouldn't even be a concern. The only thing I don't really like when setting the date of arrival is the huge window of time for arrival. Fortunately, my daughter is almost always home, so it kind of works for us. Another thing I do like about using Aptive, is that the service is consistent, I get notifications when we are due for a treatment, not relying on my memory to spray is a good thing! read more

I don't like having to get pest control. I try to avoid it. But when my wife found an earwig in our bed I was between a rock and a hard place. Then later that week the Aptive salesmen knocked on our door. I felt like he was offering me a good deal so we decided to sign up. Carlos R. was our technician and I have to think he must be the best. He very pleasant to talk to and answered all of my questions. He was helpful and careful to do a very thorough job. It has only been a few days but I can already tell that this is making a difference. We hope we can have Carlos come again for our future treatments. read more

I'm so impressed with Harrison! We had to schedule our home to be serviced because when they stopped by Friday, we weren't home and we needed the inside serviced. Well Harrison came today, first thing in the morning and did the inside of our home and garage, which was so nice! To go above and beyond, he did the outside AGAIN just so we had peace of mind that it actually did get done and brought out a big broom to get the wasp nests from the corners of our roof. He knew exactly what he was doing, and did so happily, even working on a holiday! He is by far our favorite person that has serviced our home. read more

Today I tried Aptive for the first time. Being a long-time customer of a competing pest control service, I was skeptical but wanted to give it a try. I have been very impressed so far. The Service Pro team member came right on time, was very clean cut, professional, and knowledgable about the services. He was very thorough and efficient with his work. Alec did a phenomenal job, despite my call ahead request he was able to contact someone to ensure he applied the right treatment we requested. He attempted to just spray the windows around the edges to accommodate us as we were not ready to leave for an indoor treatment. However, we changed directions probably for the 3rd time and Alec was happy to help and waited for my wife to leave with the children. Taylor was our technician. He listened to my concerns for the inside of my house and for outside and seemed to follow up on them. He let me know if there were any problems to call and they would come out again. I called Aptive when I got their reminder and informed them I wanted the inside done as well as the outside and that I would appreciate knowing when they would be coming. This was my first experience with Aptive and they were very busy so they came towards the end of the window of time yet they had two technicians come and got the job done quickly and effectively. Harrison took time to explain the service agreement, asked questions to be sure he covered all important areas and that I was satisfied. Garrett was the tech that came to our house. He was very pleasant, address the questions that I had, completed the service quickly. I was working out in the yard so he approached me and asked if I had any areas that I wanted him to cover. I requested that he spray the basement. He quickly came in, wearing booties over his shoes, sprayed the area, and was done. Today when I was working in my front flower beds I was surprised to see how much snail damage has been done despite the fact that after your first visit I called and reported we needed more attention to the snails. 2. And we also see (though greatly reduced) the yellow jackets that come bombing down on us as we are enjoying an outdoor meal on our deck. I'd give them zero stars if it was possible. Terrible service, unreliable, and zero flexibility in their contracts. They care nothing about loyalty or doing what's right for the customer. Their practices are unethical at best, and arguably fraudulent at worst. Avoid this company like the plague; and if there does happen to be a plague of the insect pest variety, don't expect this company to do anything for you unless you commit to a 1-year contract and pay them a 300% mark-up, for the same pesticides that you can purchase at home depot for $10. read more
