I am extremely frustrated and angry with APTIVE! In July, I had an application in the downpouring rain. I inquired about the effectiveness of the product and requested a customary application to replace that one. I was told yes, it is in my records. THEY CHARGED ME anyway for September and DENIED GIVING MY MONEY BACK, even though it was in the notes from my phone call in August that I was owed a customary application. SO RUDE and wrong of this company to take advantage in this way!!!! I would rather eat a bug than have your company come prevent them in my space. read more

I would be hesitate to do any business with this company. Be careful of what program you sign up for, do not sign up for the monthly plan as they do not show up monthly. But you pay. No matter what life brings your way, never ever attempt to get out of the contract. It will only cost you 199.00 no matter what. If you pay for rodent control make sure they place the boxes with posin which might actually kill the rodents. Marianne read more

1 star. Let me explain why as I was a technician. 1. First month working for them they didnt have a back sprayer for me to use so they had me treat homes with a pump can knowing its not an effective spray and would still charge customers. 2. My first 2 months I had a van with no a/c in it and were required to wear long sleeves. I watched 2 new guys get hired with no experience and get put into vans with a/c before I got a van with a/c and I informed them of the issue multiple times. 3. Management is terrible. They do not care about there employees. They also lie A LOT!! You go through a 2 week training program before you start working as a tech but There are multiple things that management would inform us arent true. 4. They tell homeowners they'll treat up to 2 acres on a home. Spray the foundation 3ft up and 3ft out. Spray around windows, in the eaves and around structure and that we will dewebb and treat inside and also take care of rodents as well. Ive done this 3 years.. they want everything done in 30 minutes so you can complete 1.6 stops per hour otherwise you get in trouble. I can tell you hands down if they are done within 30 minutes they did not do a thorough job. Im a tech. 5. THEY DO NOT PAY DRIVE TIME, they want you to do 18-20 stops per day but will pay you 10 hours but you will be on company time for 14 hours. Theres been multiple times id wake up at 6am to check my route and you cannot clock in until you get to your first stop and you clock out at your last stop. They will put all your stops 2 hours away from where you live intentionally!! In training the trainer says your route is set the night prior. I would always check my route when I got home but the mangers will require you to be up at 6am because they change the routes. So my route the night before would always be in my hometown but when id wake up at 6am the mangers would change my route to an area thats 2+ hrs away from my home. There were plenty of nights id clock out my last stop at 8 or 9pm then have to drive 2 hours home unpaid. Then still have to eat and shower and have 0 time to see family. Gotta be back up at 6am to see how far of a drive ive got today. If you bring it to the managers attention he'll say your burning out an ask if you want to continue working at aptive. Thats just how they operate. 6. They encourage all there employees to get upgrades or renewals, which it seemed cool at first but when they told me I need to start getting upgrades I did. I was leading the office in upgrades after 1 week, after I continued to upgrade I think it got to the point where I was going to make too much. Id get upgrades everyday. To get paid the commission for the upgrades the customer has to stay on the plan for a month then they will pay the commission. Well I focused the whole month of july on upgrades. Mid july they stopped putting my on production routes and started making me run full initials. Everyday. My first 2 years i did initials. They knew I wanted nothing to do with initials because I have more experience then most the technicians in office. They would make me drive 2 hours to run initials after a good half a month of upgrades. There intent was to get me to quit. I do not quit. I ended up getting terminated due to there pts system on at the beginning of august when all of the upgrade and renwal commission was getting ready to kick in. 7. They use a points system but if you dont show up to your first stop by 8am you get the same amount of points as you would when you call off. You dont have a set route until 6am. Theres been countless times theyd give me a route over 2hrs away so its not possible for me to be on time so they could give me points. 8. They make you get up at 6am. You'll be driving out to your route but the manager or supervisor like to ego there employees and they will literally change your route at 7:45 and then change your route to a whole other area. So if you were gonna be on time now your not. Your not clocked in. Been on company time since 6am but because they changed your route you cant clock in until 9 or 10am now yet youve been driving there van since 6am then they will expect you to run a full route and you'll more than likely not be done with your last stop until 8 or 9pm then you gotta clock out and still drive home. Theres been days I was in that van for 14-17 hrs and only getting paid for 9 sometimes 10 hours. 9. I worked 6 days a week. When people called off id be the first person my manager called to fill that shift and most the time id volunteer. I would work holidays. They change your pay. Ive had my hours messed with until they realized I document everything and changed it back immediately. I only documented due to one of there employees telling me during training to watch your pay. They will change your hours. I feel bad for the fellas not documenting there hours because they took a hefty amount of my hrs off my check and would've continued to do it had I not mentioned read more

Worst company ever. I've had more bugs in and around my house than I ever have before. Called to cancel and apparently the roped me into a 24-month contract. There was a $200 fee to cancel. F this company read more

SCAM - DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING. This company has absolutely zero morals or follow through. Their customer service will give you the run around that they can only submit requests to management and you cannot speak to anyone at the company other than customer service. Do not give them any information or business - you will regret it!! read more

SCAM!!! They loop you into a contract. Don't come when they are supposed to or with any notice. They spray water around your house then charge you $200 cancelation fee via a DEBT COLLECTOR (never billed us themselves). It's a total scam. Save your money. We have more spiders now than we did before they came. read more

Worst company and customer service I have ever dealt with. I was deceived at the start about the services they provide. They promise free re-service but never show up. I have several pest issues and not one of them was improved by their "service". Then there's billing. They will charge you whether you receive service or not and will hit you with a large penalty fee for trying to cancel. read more

Do NOT waste your money. Terrible service (we were meant to have full service inside and out) and they treated the inside once. Now I'm trying to cancel (it's the end of my contract) and have sent an email and am on my 4th call with them. Every time I talk to someone, they say they need to transfer me to a different department and am on hold for at least 10 minutes at which time it goes to a voicemail. The first time they said someone would call me back (they never did) the second and third time I left voicemails and now I'm literally on hold yet again and have been for 7 minutes. I will NEVER recommend this scam of a company to anyone and hope this prevents at least one person from any future headaches with this company! read more

This company has the sketchiest and most unethical business practices I've ever encountered. They originally approached us as we were backing out of our driveway, pressured us to sign up so intensely that they would not take no for an answer, would not leave. Incredibly rude. Regardless, I caved and signed up for the basic 4x a year treatment, because we do have pests, so okay, fine. But since then, they have been booking treatment appointments MUCH more frequently, way more often than needed/recommended, showing up and doing the treatment without requiring confirmation, and automatically charging us. Apparently their business practice is just to sign themselves up for appointments as often as they can get away with unless the customer notices and goes through a very lengthy cancellation process. Sure, the treatment helped a bit. The actual guys they sent to do the treatment were nice/professional enough. But I would never, ever recommend them for pest control because the business side of the company will try to scam you out of your money as much as possible. read more

Who knew pest control could be an enjoyable experience? The Aptive team is professionalism at its best! read more

See all

Been with Aptive for a few years now and couldn't be more happy. Very kind employees and even better service!

Great service. Been with the company for 2 years and Ive recommended it to all my family and friends.

Salesman came to my door tonight trying to get us to sign for service for tomorrow. High pressure. Said that three of my neighbors (using their last names that are readily available on mailboxes) had signed for service tomorrow. No business cards, pamphlets or written quotes. I contacted one of the neighbors mentioned and they had closed the door in his face, and did not agree to service. Buyer beware! read more

A pushy salesman came to my door and continued with his pitch while I shut the door in his face. He then went to my neighbors and used my name as recommending them and that they were spraying my house the next day. They will lie to anyone to get the sale. read more

Service was pretty good, but customer service was poor. I asked multiple times to have my account closed due to cutting back on expenditures. They did not close my account, resulting in a payments that I was hoping to avoid. I do not recommend Aptive, based on the fact that their customer response is lacking. read more

Buyer, beware!!! Do not sign up for a contract for the services of Aptive Environmental!!! The salesman are unbelievably pushy and aggressive. Once they have you signed into a contract, the account manager will convince you they need a little more time for the treatment to work and just keep paying your maintenance treatments. I signed a contract for one year with them and they still have not gotten rid of the ants in my yard they will keep telling you you need to keep paying them for it to be effective. I spent over a grand and have not gotten any positive results. My husband is a disabled vet and we have very little extra money to spend for nothing. We are just trying to have a nice yard without the nuisance of ants do you yourself a favor and find another company!!!!! read more

Aptive has treated me fairly and provides a comprehensive service. They also offer a free warranty in between treatments for free

please do not do business with Aptive. This is a scam busines. they don't care about treating your property only about collecting your money and charging what ever they want. Then when you figure that out they charge you again to get rid of them. poor quality service and even worse customer service. They WILL charge you for services they didn't preform. read more

We just bought our home and it had so many bugs in the yard and through the house (mostly earwigs, spiders, beetles, ants). I'm looking forward to seeing how their service works in those regards. This company was very thorough. Branden was going door to door and told us all about the service and had a sign up deal. Ryan came out the very next day. We loved having Ryan as our tech. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and confident in his brand. He represents Aptive very well. Would love to have him back out for future applications. Service seems great so far, despite other reviews. If customer service or product seem below 5 stars, I will edit this review. read more

BEWARE!!! I asked for information and was emailed a copy of a contract that I did NOT sign with my electronic signature. I'm reporting them to the attorney general and Better Business Bureau. I'm north of Grand Rapids MI. read more

ZERO STARS Aptive is an absolute scam of a company. They have incredibly pushy sales tactics (it worked on me and I had no idea what I was getting into with this company) They come onto your property unannounced, which in my eyes will forever be trespassing but for some reason they do not see it that way. They do not notify you of service until after you are already charged. We had a "full service" scheduled for indoors and outdoors and the appointment kept getting canceled due to weather, which is completely understandable. They ended up sending one of their techs out on a Sunday while we were at church. They treated the outside of the property (allegedly) and charged me for a full service, when I called their customer service the woman that I spoke with was incredibly rude and told me they sent out a text to a number that was not mine to confirm. (They text appointments apparently on iPhones so they sent this text to a different number and saw it as "read" and apparently that was the okay for them to come on my property while nobody was home) When I brought up the point that it wasn't my number they texted she said this wasn't her problem and it was mine and finally obliged to set us up for a free re-service at NO COST. This was less than 10 days ago, they showed up to my house this morning without notifying me in the pouring rain and "treated" the outside yet again without coming into the home or garage which is the reason I wanted a full service redone. They charged me for a full service AGAIN. When I called customer service they refused to give me a refund for this and told me they will not cancel my account with them. So now I have to go to my bank to get a full refund and cancel the debit card they're pulling money out of for services to block any future charges. The customer service is the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. They are incredibly rude, they are completely unwilling to fix any problems they caused on their end. Their full service is them spraying for five minutes and then leaving. We live out in the country so there's lots of woods and trees, so lots of little critters we want to stay away from our home. Do not sign up for this company. They are scam artists. I just looked through their social media accounts on Instagram and they have an entire page dedicated to showing how much money their sales techs have made pushing their services on people. Do not waste your MONEY they will not break contracts they will not do full service and their pest solution they use is an all natural solution that keeps absolutely nothing away from your homes. This is part of their tactics to keep charging you for treatments because nothing they use actually works. They service in the rain which is unheard of because everything washes away and I promise you they are NOT cheap. If I could I would give no stars for this terrible company with horrible sales practices and beyond awful customer service. read more
