I found Terry's website and saw that he offers computer clean-ups for $49.95 - and he was offering free local pickup and delivery during the pandemic! I texted Terry and he came by the next morning (properly masked up, hooray!) and picked up my laptop. He texted me a question as he was working on it to make sure he wasn't removing a program that I actually use, and then dropped it off just a few hours later. It's now super-speedy - it feels like I have a new computer. Among other things, he removed a program that I had that I thought was helping maintain my Mac, but he told me it was slowing things down massively. Now that I know that laptop cleaning is a thing, I'll probably do this every year. It's a small investment and will save me a ton of money down the road. Happy that I now have Terry to trust with this!

I had taken the back off a while ago to see if I could figure anything out on my own and noticed it looked like the jack could be replaced without sauldering. So I took it there today and he looked at it real quickly and told me I had half the job done and explained what I could do to replace the jack, or possibly replacing the power cord itself or possibly pinching in the tabs on the jack to make a better connection. I chose the latter option and it's charging fine now. He was super heplful! I'll think I'll take my wife's computer to him next - for some diagnostic help.

I brought my machine in and got an immediate, and most importantly CORRECT diagnosis, and this team worked to get my parts rush-delivered. When the part came in, I popped in and they turned the entire job around in under an hour, and they even saved my old webcam-cover-sticker and situated it on my new screen. And all the while, I saw and heard them attentively listening to and offering real, practical advice to each customer that came in; not trying to upsell or pressure people into work they didn't need done.
