Foothills Painting

We have used Foothills Painting three times over the last 7 years and they continue to meet or…read moreexceed our expectations. They painted the interior of our last home in 2018, stained a deck for us in 2020, and painted the interior of the new construction home we've lived in for just over a year. Each time they have responded to our inquiry promptly, communicated clearly regarding job pricing, timing, and expectations, and completed the work on (or ahead of) schedule. I was expected to remove pictures and anything else attached to the walls, and the crew handled outlet plates, blinds, and everything else. They were efficient, polite, and we are extremely pleased with the results. For all three jobs, we've found the pricing to be competitive and everyone from the estimators to the project managers to the crews have gone out of their way to make sure we're happy with the work. We won't hesitate to use Foothills again when the time comes.

My husband and I have been interested in changing the colors inside our home for several months. I…read morecontacted Foothills Painting and am so happy! Alex and Rachel came with color samples and ideas for the different rooms. We truly felt that our ideas and hopes were heard! After the color discussion, they took measurements and provided an estimate right on the spot. Several discounts were available (winter time, flexibility and military) which brought a competitive price down even more! Large color samples arrived two days later for our consideration. We didn't change anything, the colors were spot on! The following week, the painters arrived. Nathan, Issac and Randy are an asset to this company. Very professional, and communicated with me regarding their game plan in attacking the project. This helped us to prep ahead of time. This amazing crew would divide and conquer different areas, yet somehow, would hold each other accountable. If they found areas that needed additional paint, it was addressed appropriately. After each day, they cleaned up and swept the floor. Gordon, our project manager, kept in touch the entire time to ensure our expectations were being met (which they were)! Today was the final walkthrough, and while my husband and I didn't see areas that needed touch ups, their professionalism caught it and made the changes. The estimated cost never changed and there were no hidden fees, so I believe we received quality service for a great price! If you are looking for a quality company to work with, give Foothills Painting a call. You will be very happy you did.

American Wallworks

I completely agree with another client who posted a negative review for Sterling Myers and American…read moreWallworks on Google. BEWARE of this guy. (And you can save yourself the time of reading my review by just looking at the photos.) Sterling was able to schedule me the same week I called for drywall repair (now I know why). I only needed him to fix a small wall dent and fill multiple nail holes from wall art, which I could have done myself, but I was busy packing up the house. I was optimistic at first because Sterling showed up on time and was very friendly and talkative. I wanted to get other things done while he worked, so I pre-marked all of the repair areas with tape. But instead of just getting to work on his own, Sterling insisted that I point out each nail hole and watch while he applied large amount of mud/joint compound to the tiny holes. It seemed like overkill, but I trusted his much espoused "expertise." I was so distracted by his constant talking that I missed the fact many of the holes weren't filled at all. Here's the crazy part, Sterling then hauled out his industrial texture sprayer and proceeded to blast the tiny nail holes with huge patches of texture. No measures to protect the adjacent walls, trim, baseboards, and flooring were taken--anything within a five foot radius was fair game. And since many of the holes were still open after the mud, he just over sprayed them massive amounts of texture. Dear readers, this is the most shameful part of my experience--I actually helped him wreck my own walls. He couldn't lift his air compressor up and down the stairs on his own, so I had to stay with him and help him lift it. He also asked me to fetch my own heavy ladder from the garage because he (a wall repairman) didn't bring one. So, everyone, I actually watched this massacre first hand. I honestly thought he knew better than I did as a professional contractor, but he constantly talks as a distraction so that you don't speak up despite the sick feeling in the pit of your stomach. It really is a complete con. All this to say that I had a huge mess to clean up and lots of repainting to do--and I was only charged $900 for the trouble (I guess there was no discount for assisting him with the work :-). Seriously, RUN from this business, people. Not only does Sterling exhibit serious signs of senescence, both mentally and physically, he only cares about getting paid as I got the impression that he's in dire financial straits. I actually cancelled the check I gave him after I gathered my wits about me. When I called him to discuss how badly the repairs looked after painting them, he offered to come back out fix them so he could get his money. OVER MY DEAD BODY, readers, would I let this man get near my home again. We finally agreed that I would pay him $600 for this disaster, and I told him that I would thank him with an honest review. . .

Super professional, responsive, and on time. I will be recommending this service to everyone I know. He was prompt, professional, and affordable. We contacted Paint Pals of Fort Collins to paint our house as soon as we heard back from our HOA…read morethat we were approved for painting. They sent a very professional estimator out to our house quickly to meet us and talk about the services they provide. They broke the price down based on the different paint products available and even offered quotes to replace some damage on our house. We found their prices to be comparable to other painters we got estimates from and were able to choose the kind of paint that gave us the best cost vs effectiveness balance which was nice because some painters are limited to one line of products available. Much to our surprise they called and said that they had availability much sooner than they originally thought and were able to come out the next day to begin painting. After a full day of very thorough prep work they had a crew large enough to paint all of the body in one day and trimmed out the next. The final paint job looks AMAZING! I was so impressed that they came back at a time that was convenient for me to walk the house and discuss any issues that I noticed. There were very few, but they dealt with them immediately and professionally. We couldn't be happier with the job they did and the value we got for repainting our house!

They were always on time, courteous, and didn't take any shortcuts when doing the job. We love the color, and it was worth hiring PaintPals to know it would be done right.
