I don't want to give even one star.. but did because the repairman was nice.

TJ's appliance is FANTASTIC!!!! My control panel on my Samsung refrigerator, only 6 years old,…read morecompletely stopped functioning. The fridge and the freezer were both keeping the appropriate temperature, but the control panel was not functioning. I tried holding the lock button for 15 seconds, 30 seconds, it wouldn't do anything. I looked up repairs and everything that came up seemed to be part of a large network. I did call, gave information and was told I'd receive a call back from a technician. I did receive a call, from Angi's List. They said they schedule the techs, asked what was wrong, and then told me the service call would be $453 - which would include the repair. They didn't know what the repair would be however or IF it could in fact be repaired. I felt this was price gouging to the extreme and did not schedule a tech. I Googled again and this time, TJ's Appliance came up. The website showed it would close at 5:00pm on Friday, and it was 4:57pm so I had 3 minutes. I called. Tom answered, walked me through a few things to get it to work, took about 10 minutes of HIS precious time. When it didn't work, he told me I should call Samsung directly and perhaps they could walk me through the process. He told me he doesn't service my area - YET, he opted to help me. We hung up and I made a note to call Samsung on Monday. I then went to the fridge to start dinner prep. I opened the fridge and the control panel was lit up and working perfectly. The sequence Tom gave me apparently took a few minutes to reset. I immediately called him back to thank him. It was after 5 but he did pick up. I thanked him profusely and told him if he ever did work in my area, I'd certainly call him for any and all my appliance issues. He did what most would not. He HELPED me. He took his precious time on a Friday afternoon, at closing time, to HELP ME, and his help WORKED. These are the types of people I like to work with, people who opt to help others because they can, not based on price, or time, just because they know you need help. I'll gladly pay for his services and would encourage anyone who needs appliance repair to call TJ's Appliance. If he helps you out when he's not expecting payment, I'm guessing he'll do a wonderful job when he is paid. God Bless you and yours, Tom. I do hope you do start service my area - I am so truly grateful and I'll be a paying customer for certain. Highly recommended!!!!

Dropped off my Dyson stick vacuum and told him that a little red piece snapped off and needed to be replaced. He told me he'd look into it. I asked him to call me if he couldn't get the part. I DID NOT ASK HIM TO CLEAN THE VACUUM AND RETURN IT, NEVER FIXING THE PROBLEM THAT I BROUGHT IT THERE FOR! I was shocked when I got there, and then the scary way he talked to me. He is very disrespectful. It didn't end there. To add insult to injury, he was nasty when I asked why the pieces weren't replaced. He said he couldn't get it. So, I asked him why he would clean a vacuum that needed repair. He nastily told me he'd have no problem selling it if I didn't want to pay him the $69. His attitude took me aback, and he cleaned a vacuum that was not repaired, which I cannot use because, without the red clip, it's almost impossible to get it back together after emptying it. I WOULD RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE. I tried to remain calm, but couldn't believe how much I was taken advantage of. I know it's $69, BUT IT'S THE PRINCIPAL OF THE MATTER!
