ZERO STARS!!! I have worked with AppleOne off and on for 10 years - Ventura and Santa Barbara branches. Until 2020, I had AMAZING Staff Manager, assignments and over all great experience. Cannot say the same anymore. I will NEVER WORK WITH APPLEONE AGAIN! Starting with their disregard for their "employee's on assignment" and COVID-19 and continuing this year. I have never been treated so horribly. I do not have health insurance thru AppleOne because they gave me the wrong enrollment dates. Even though this was their error, they would not allow me to enroll when the mistake was discovered. The payroll department has issued my weekly paycheck incorrectly for the last 6 months. Due to their error, I know owe the IRS a TON OF MONEY. The Staffing Manager I am currently assigned to, treats me... honestly this is inappropriate, but fits best- a prostitute and she is my pimp. She only cares about the money she is making off of me. It's truly disgusting. I had a terrible experience. They had placed me at a really good company (Community West Bank). Unfortunately they forgot to run a background check. So to save face with the client, they had me lie and tell them I had gotten a new job elsewhere. Well promising me that they would find me a new position. I cannot judge the entire Service, but they have an employee, who is more than incompetent... Here is my experience with Tanya! Filled AppleOne's application last year, don't remember the exact day. From then on have not received any offers any calls. Recently there were positions that found through indeed.com and applied, which redirected me to appleone's page. So I made a phone call to inquire more info about the positions. Tanya who supposed to be working with me, since she had interviewed me when I filled the app for the appleone, was not there (at the meeting). I was offered to send her an email with my questions. 4 days later I still didn't get any calls or emails. Finally after calling to appleone and living a message again, got a phone call from her. She had no clue what positions I was interested in, haven't even checked her email. And to my question, have you got a chance to check your email, since I have all the details in it (she called me when I was in a store, caught me off gard), she responded rudely; I receive 1000 emails per day, I cannot possibly remember all. After making me wait for 4 days to get back to my questions, she is just randomly picking the phone and out of blue calls me... Very disappointing. Not only did they find me a position so quickly, but it is with the company I have been trying to get in with for over a year. Ashley is my Staffing Consultant, and she has been nothing but amazing. After doing all the paper work and wasting a couple hours of my time, nothing ever came of it. I called week after week with the same response, we have nothing for you. However a friend who works at UCSB told me the best way to get a position there as in a job I wanted was to go through AppleOne in Santa Barbara . Natalie is awesome! She was very friendly and understanding. She helped me through a bad layoff situation and when I had found another position on my own that ended up not working out she welcomed me back and worked quickly to find a great position at UCSB that I start next week. As a long time Contract Worker for the past 7 years; I have worked with several Employment Service Agencies. Robert Half/Accountemps, Select, Star Staffing and Volt...I have worked with them all. I believe AppleOne's services goes above and beyond the norm. AppleOne's Staff is pleasant and professional. Katie, Jessi and Natalie are great people to work with and they provide excellent response time in processing expense reimbursements, contact information updates and feedback from your assignment. You will even get an email during your assignment to see how it is going. AppleOne has the Contract Worker at heart and not their profit. My only caveat would be the continuing education program that they provide to Contract Workers. It would be great if there was a better continuing education program so professionals can keep up to date in their field regarding new software(s), human resource laws, accounting practices and policies, or accounting software (ERP/ERM). If so, this would be a competitive advantage to what Robert Half provides. Regardless, AppleOne is the top agency on my list and I know I will always keep them in mind when I am looking for my next Contract Position. read more
