I think I've had it with AppleOne. I often get emails from them. They say are you interested in this? I look at the job and see if it is a job that's a good fit for me. That is the number one thing that I'm looking for. If the job seems like a good fit for my skills then I proceed. If it pays enough for me to travel 30 miles one way then I say I'm interested. Sometimes I wait 3 days sometimes I wait 5 days. AppleOne their recruiters are horrible. They don't ever get back to me at all. None of them say oh the job throw through or the client didn't want you. They expect us to know what's going on. Recently I was told two Fridays ago that this company of Redlands wanted me to work for them. I was told that I had to call back on Monday to get the address to start work on Tuesday. Well needless to say that I got excited on Friday knowing that I was going to start work on Tuesday. Yet as it would be with AppleOne they are unprofessional. Monday comes and I call at 10 a.m. . I need the address of this place if I'm going to start Tuesday. And no one answers the phone. I send an email to the recruiter asking for the address of this place in Redlands. I get a very vague email that does not tell me the address of this place in Redlands. I'm now thinking okay they lied to me. I'm not really going to work tomorrow. So I leave it alone because it's not worth my time to keep on calling them. I have worked with them for two years now and they very rarely get back to me. And they never let me know if I got the job. If I didn't get the job they just leave me hanging like a ghost. The staff there love to ghost people. It's so unprofessional. So later in the day on Monday I went and did my errands. And around when I was finally called on Monday. And that's when I got the news. I'm sorry - but the client retracted and they don't want to hire you. I asked if it was because I live so far away. She said no they just change their mind. Well why didn't anybody answer the phone when I called at 10 a.m. . Why couldn't I be told this at 10 a.m. when I emailed my recruiter? My recruiter can tell me at 1 p.m. but she couldn't tell me at 10 a.m.? Then just one week ago I got two emails about working at the local Registrar of Voters. I replied to both emails. When I replied to on October 8th and when I replied to on October 9th. I got no reply from both of them. Then I called on the 9th and I said look I'm interested in this position. I called your coworker left a message for her. No reply. This woman that I called on the 9th she said oh the training was today. Okay that's fine. But I did email and call on the 8th. That phone call went directly to voicemail. Nobody answered the phone. And it said that somebody would call me back. Nobody called me back and I left a phone number. They know who I am. I've only been sent on one assignment in 2 years. They know I'm a clerical worker. They know that I don't do odd weird jobs usually. They know usually I am working in an office. The only job that I ever been assigned is working at Nordstrom's Rack doing a strange on job of inventory. With scanners. And that job with 6 p.m. to midnight. And we only work 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. because the scanners didn't work I suggest you stay away from this agency. No one tells you if you didn't get the job they just ghost you. I used to be working with employment agencies back in the 1990's and they would actually be professional and tell you I'm sorry that one fell through. They just mass email people. This is the second time I give appleone a try and was let down once again. I wont name the agent, but I emailed her regarding a job posting i saw online, thought i would be a good fit so sent my email over to them. Within the hour, I get a call, told her I would call back within 15 minutes, which I did on the dot, was in a meeting so couldn't take my call. That's okay, she emailed me to call back at a later time, I did, still not able to reach her. I sent another email scheduling a time for the following day, called on the dot of our scheduled time, again, already working with someone else. Sent another email asking if perhaps email is the best way to communicate since I cant keep taking breaks to have my calls sent to voicemail, and I have yet to receive a response. It has been 5 days now and no response at all. Did try to call again and was told she was in another meeting. I understand if I was not a good fit for the position, but I think that they should at least have the courtesy to let me know, as opposed to having me call and call just to be disregarded. read more

I wanted to find a way not to post this, but it is very frustrating when you try to work with individuals who won't take the initiative to return your calls when they know that you are calling them. You are in a meeting in the morning and afternoon every time you are called, but somehow you can manage to get through your day without calling your clients back who are desperately trying to work with you while they are seeking employment themselves. There has to be someone within the organization who takes pride in their ability to effectively communicate with their clients, return calls and ensure their clients that they are diligently working on their clients behalf to find meaningful employment instead of just any job just to shut their clients up especially since their clients resume speak for itself. I take it personal because I know that if I were in this individual position, I would do my best not just ignore phone calls and constantly use meetings and emails as a way to insult an individuals intelligent. AppleOne really should recruit individuals who want to work to create a better business/client relationship and not just employ individuals who wish to collect paychecks but take no initiatives to help resolve unemployment issues. after 2 months of constant I'm working on your behalf, I will fight for you start to sound like you AppleOne have a weak recruiter working for you or someone that has hot air balloon syndrome. Although I don't have much work experience Judy was able to find a job opening that I qualified for and set up an interview for me. Through the grace of God, I got the job! Cherise is my recruiter but she has been more of an advocate for me. I snapped and walked off an assignment that was stressing me out to no end, she talked to the director for me and got me another, better assignment that pays a dollar more! When I say better assignment, I mean better fit for me, they really work with you on what's a good choice for you. My assignments have been with Wells Fargo home mortgage and the city of riverside doing customer service, so they hold pretty reputable clients. The process is super easy, you make an appointment, interview, you take tests (typing skills, Microsoft outlook, word, excel efficiency), you go to interviews, and you get hired and work at your assigned company for your term, so far I've gotten 4mos-1year, so they have pretty solid assignments. Some companies even hire you on permanently afterwards, so it's a pretty good way to get your foot in the door at companies through this avenue. Cherise makes getting hired easy because she preps before every interview, from how to dress to what questions they've asked. I've worked with other agencies in Anaheim and Riverside, I would say it's easier to contact your recruiter directly at ApplOne than at other agencies, I can call and email anytime about anything. You can get either direct deposit or a debit card, you submit your time card online which is soooooo much easier than by paper like at riverside personnel services. Pay day is every Friday so that's pretty sweet. Right now I'm being lazy and using the debit card rather than turning in my direct deposit info haha, but you can just transfer from your debit card account to any personal account, so getting your money is easy. My only gripe is that it's been a little difficult to figure out how to get benefits. And parking at this location is kind of hard since it's downtown. And at work we don't get holiday pay like the regular workers and sometimes people treat you different at work since you're "just a temp". However you get a lot of different experiences and AppleOne makes the onboarding and payday processes hassle free, and the interview and hiring process as easy as possible. And this location in particular without a doubt has the nicest front desk person. read more
