It's been years since I got up and walked out because the service was so slow, on a slow night.

Service was poor. Never came back to refill drinks, even when asked for refills twice. Ordered a salad, never came out, even when asked a second time for it. Never came back to check on us. Was told our son could pick a dessert for his birthday, ordered it, then brought a new bill with the dessert added. When asked, she said her manager told her we only get a discount. We declined the dessert, they still rang it up and then told us we couldn't get the money back. Gave us a little coupon for an appetizer and said they'd bring out the dessert still. We paid for it! We stopped in on a busy Friday night around 7:30. We (3 people) were prepared for a wait. The hostess looked at us and said, "We don't have any tables." When we asked if there was a waitlist, and if we could be added, she said no, there were 3 other people (not groups) waiting, and they would get the next open table. When we asked again about a wait time, she flippantly said, "I don't know how long it's going to take people to eat." She asked if we wanted to speak to the manager, but by that time, we were headed back out the door. Have never been in and Applebee's restaurant until last week. Everything was great except my husband's chicken tenders. Over cooked and old oil. I had the shrimp and ribs. Was not to bad. Fries were cold. Service was fantastic as it was on our return trip tonight. But this is the last time at Applebee's. Apparently food consistently is and issue here at the Three Rivers location. I was expecting the shrimp and ribs and it had changed to so called boneless chicken whick are almost like chicken nuggets. Dry. Ribs were fine but my husband wanted to try the menu items and got nachos. He did not like them nor did I like the boneless wings. Went there on Oct 20. The place was busy. The guy they threw in to wait on us tried his best. Our order was messed up. Had to wait forever for our food and checks. The guy was not experienced to handle a large amount of people. My daughter ordered a steak which was over priced for the size and the blood ran out of it because for the thickness was not cooked long enough. My grandson's order was messed up. Do not eat here. When we arrived, there were several open tables but they told us it would be a 20 minute wait. After 15 minutes they told us we could sit at a table and drink but food would be another half hour. I tried several different chairs but either all of their chairs are wobbly or there was a hole in the floor. The waiter took our appetizer order - said he could take the order but it would be over 20 minutes for food. He never came back to take our order. Someone else brought our appetizer out 25+ minutes later and we had to ask if she could send the waiter back for our order. My daughter tried to order broccoli Alfredo but we were told their broccoli was recalled and couldn't be served. And he forgot to mention it. Yum. 30 minute wait again for food and somehow mine still came out cold. Only three of four meals came out so we had to wait more so we could all eat together. The outside of my wrap was wet somehow so fell apart when picking up. The melted cheese was already cold and hard. Hit or miss when going, food quality wise. Staff always is friendly and hardworking. Portion sizes and cook quality varies with certain entrees. One day, you can get a perfectly cooked, well-endowed portion. The next visit, a small, overcooked/burnt resemblance of food (sometimes, of course, with takeout, I would find out when i get home, and don't have the energy to come back) 2 for 20 in the past was a great deal for what you would get - Appetizer and 2 entrees. We've been gong to Applebee's since they opened up here in Three Rivers, Mi. In the beginning, great food, great prices and great service. We went to have our favorite meal on a Saturday afternoon, 1.21.2023. There were a few people waiting, seemed like a small party, like they were all together. We wait to be seated, I'm looking around and I count at least 5 empty tables in half the restaurant. I never looked behind myself. The hostess approaches, and like we've done multiple times before, we ask to sit at the table in the bar. With a smirk, she says "you can in 30 minutes..." I'm like there's empty tables, more tables than people waiting.... her response, "gotta keep the flow" . I'm like what flow? She smirks again. Now. I do not recognize any staff, there's empty tables, a few are waiting to be seated... but these tables were clean. No explanation, no anything. I look at my husband, we had plans to go to a movie so time was an issue. We decide to leave, and the hostess says... so sickening sweetly, enjoy the rest of your day, and thank you. Sarcasm was doing. A family passed through us and walked in and sat down. I'm like for what? Obviously, keeping the flow is more important than their customer service. If you've changed things say so. So we ending up driving across town to Hanks on the River, really good food and the best part only half the cost of Applebee's. If I could give zero Stars I would. I ordered chicken this was the smallest and toughest piece of chicken I have ever eaten in my life. Looked like a kid's meal. I normally don't go to this Applebee's in Three Rivers but that's where I was at the time. All of the other Applebee's I have been to have been excellent with excellent service also. The only thing that was good about my meal was my salad. My daughter had a steak dinner which her steak was very tough and dry. We asked our waitress for A1 sauce it took her 10 minutes and me asking again for it to actually get to our table.I might add that our server did not even smile once at us and never even came back to see if we needed refills. The restaurant was not that busy. She was very rude. Needless to say she did not get a tip on a $50 bill. Will never go back to Three Rivers Applebee's again. read more

What a horrible experience. Sat forever waiting for a table while watching 3 servers clear a table or 2 and not seat anyone. They had much conversation among themselves in front of the waiting patrons. We ordered the 12 ounce rib eye steaks at 19.99. They were fatty and frizzy and not worth the money. I could do better buying a steak at the dollar steak. St least the quality would be comparable. Our service was ok. The bartender was busy so I cant complain as she did her best to serve our table. Was supposed to be 20 minutes. 40 minutes later, she collects my card and charges it and brings it back saying couple more minutes for my food.
