I stopped in to Applebees for dinner tonight and had a pretty average experience. The space itself is large with plenty of seating. We were seated at our table right away. Our server's section seemed a little full so I expected slower service. Our waitress Emiya was friendly and sweet. It did, however, take a while to get our drinks and food. I ordered the all you can eat boneless wings which may be a limited time promotion. The price for the all you can eat wings was only 30 cents more than the regular wing appetizer and totally worth the price! I tried the Asian sweet chili and garlic parmesan wings. They were pretty good but a little chewy. The first round of wings came with around 12 wings and any additional wing orders came with 6 wings. I had plenty to take to go at the end of my meal! Our server didn't check on us throughout the meal and took a while to get our checks. However, she did seem really busy during the crowded dinner rush so I understood the delays. read more

My riblet BASKET only had two pieces and I was immediately told that's what 10oz of meat looks like. Went there this past Sunday for an after workout salad between 11AM-12pm.. The place was empty and we were sat down a pretty quickly. 2 people at the bar eating and it was pretty quiet. Quite a few staff just sitting around. Our server was tending bar and took a bit to get to our order....remember I said two people at the bar eating and in addition, only one other couple in the place at that time. Placed our order and it took quite a long time to get 2 Ceaser salads (one with shrimp and one with chicken). More than half of my salad had brown and wilted lettuce, along with lettuce cores. The other salad also had a large amount brown and wilted lettuce. The chicken tastes as if it was freezer burned. I have visited this location before and had decent (but not great) food. I should have taken a pic of it, but being upset with the food and service I just wanted to leave. Bad food+bad service =I will not be returning or recommending this location. read more

I ordered the two can dine for $30. One of the choices was riblets. I ordered riblets and only received 2 small riblets. I ordered it that night and called first thing in the morning. The manager told me that they determine the amount by weight not by numbers of riblets. I have been to Applebee's allot in the over 30+ years I've been alive even after the pandemic and never ever only received 2 small riblets. I feel cheated especially since you have to pay extra for the riblets. I will never trust that location again. Looked like a 9oz solid chunk of fat. Weird. Hate sending back food, but I couldn't eat that. Got the shrimp and broccoli cavatappi. Tasted too strongly of lemon, the broccoli was barely cooked (hard), and pasta was over-cooked. This location was such a disappointment. I love Applebee's for their appetizers and award winning entrees, but I had to walk out of this location. I was seated for 30 minutes and only got my drink, and the soggy appetizer I ordered was obviously left in the window too long and forgotten about. After flying in to St Louis, my coworker and I decided to find a place close by to watch the Seahawks and Vikings play. This was the closest place from the airport. The atmosphere was great. The waitress, Marian, was awesome. The general manager was even walking the floors helping the staff out and greeting the customers. The salmon was tasty but the veggies were a little bland. Four stars because the televisions in the bar area needs to be updated. It was a nice Thursday and my family was coming to have lunch with me, we chose Applebee's on St Charles Rock Rd. Let me say the waiter was fantastic, attentive, and just plain nice. We had a male waiter with a big beard and great attitude. He didn't let our drinks get beyond half full before offering more, food was very good, and not a bad wait for the food. I was very impressed with this location. Our waiter, Steven, was extremely friendly and attentive. He even found a way to combine mine and my boyfriends meal onto the 2 for 20 (even though mine wasn't exactly what was on there) which not only saved us money, but also got us a free appetizer. My $20 dinner plate was sub-par. They can't cook a medium-rare steak (and it was tough as shoe-leather); the shrimp kabob and fried shrimp were flavorless; the broccoli was lukewarm and undercooked. Our waitress was the only positive part of this meal. There are zero options for vegetarians, so we took meat off one of the pastas. It was incredibly subpar; basically oily pasta with spinach, since they left off every other topping also. Even the salads have meat on them, making it a poor meal with zero nutritional value if you take it off. Chicken wrap had chicken on one half of the wrap. Burger had a the absolute highest slice of tomato possible, so it had a nice, large stem and hole in the center. The lettuce was the white, thick spine piece. The burger was dry. I hate complaining. I really do. I especially hate to make the wait staff feel badly because it isn't their fault. They ended up offering me mozzarella sticks for dinner in place of the pasta since there were zero meat free options. I had already ordered and eaten mozzarella sticks as one of the only appetizers without meat, so I obviously declined. In lieu, they took $5 off our meal. 3/4 of the people did not eat their meal. I don't expect 5 star service from Applebee's. I have visited this location many times. I will likely return as they are conveniently located for me. On this night we came in late on a Sunday because many other places were closed or their kitchens were close already. We came after graduation services ended. My server was Shay. She was nice when we met her. We placed our order. Breon brought out our wanton tacos. They were very good. It was missing the lime, but it was late and possibly out of limes that night.The manager brought out our food. I noticed my baked potato had sour cream and butter. I requested butter only. The manager apologized stating that she made the mistake, She took it back and quickly brought me out another potato with only butter. My grill chicken was overcooked and bland. The potato was bland and so was my broccoli. The fries were bland too. The cook must have had an off night. This was far below our expectations. Our server passed by us several times without refilling or offering to refill our drinks. She never asked if everything was alright. When she finally stop by we asked for a box for quesadilla burger. She asked if I needed a box for my potato which had been barely touched. I didn't enjoy it therefore I didn't eat much of it. Then she asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks. My companion said yes. I stopped her and said to go. I was more than ready to leave. She brought back a box for the food and began to finish clearing the table. She asked if we wanted dessert. I responded by requesting the bill. I was disappointed with my server and food. The wanton tacos and burger were good. I'll give Shay a little break on her service for not coming around much or being attentive to the guest as she is with child and due to deliver very soon. This is my neighborhood location and I can say that although they live up to the Applebee's typical standard food and service, they do excel at being untypically friendly and accommodating. They get extra points in my book for truly buying into and creating an atmosphere of Applebee's being your neighborhood friendly bar and grille. For this reason alone more often than not, I continue to patronize this location. read more

I went here with my husband and mother in law on a Monday night. Other than there being maybe two other tables, it was nearly empty. We ordered the 2 for $10.99 special for myself and my mother in law - wedge salad and steaks medium rare. Apparently medium rare means well done and shoe leather. My husband got the riblets special, which were burned. All in all, the visit was horrible and we tried twice to get our steaks fixed. We ended up just giving up and dealing with it. The manager was slightly apologetic. However, I have to wonder just what the problem is if the table next to us had the same problem (overdone steaks and poorly made riblets). Where do I begin....if I had to describe my experience in one word it would be...sad. Let me first say we usually do lunch. Lunch time has always been good to us but dinner had way too many problems that we won't be back. We were sat immediately by a friendly hostess. Salad was a little flat....just ok. Meals did come out in timely manner and piping hot. Problem came when my boyfriend got his chicken and shrimp meal. Waitress asked if he wanted the mushrooms and onions, he said yes. It came out with (I'm not kidding) 2 slices of mushrooms....REALLY. Asked for more mushrooms and she had audacity to say it's extra. He told her he wasn't interested in paying extra for something that was already part of the meal. We asked to speak to a manager. Now let me tell you he was 1/2 done with his meal by time manager came out with mushrooms...which he hastily placed on table....now that I'm thinking about it don't think he even looked at us. Manager didn't ask why we asked to speak to a manger, just said here are you grilled mushrooms. We didn't ask for the manager because we wanted him to be our waiter...hell we had an issue. The real problem came when we went to pay the bill and noticed a charge for .99. Of course we brought it to her attention. Do you know she had the nerve to say "oh I'll take it off your bill." Damn you could have done that in the first place. Not to mention she must have complained about us to the manager cause I could see both of them whispering and looking back at us...not like I give a damn. Did I forget to mention that the waitress never came back to check on us after she brought out our food; she only came back when it looked like we were done with our food and it was time to pay. Visited Applebee's last night after my son's concert at the high school. My Significant Other ordered the Bourbon Chicken & Shrimp, his favorite meal and it was excellent. Son tried the Triple Hog Dare You sandwich and was delightfully surprised. Plenty of meat on sandwich. He ordered the Sriracha Shrimp appetizer, always his favorite. Good flavor-not disappointed. I ordered the Sirloin Stir Fry. The sirloin was cooked a little well for my liking, however the dish over all was very nice! Our server for the evening was Markelle. This is the second time we've visited Applebee's in the last month and Markelle was our server. She deserves mention. She's been VERY attentive to our table and we have enjoyed her both times.
