I like the food but the last 3 times we went there the service was not up to par, my husband won't go there anymore.

Had dinner last night at Applebee's in Riverview, FL, and was so disappointed. My once-favorite Applebee's dish, Oriental Chicken Salad, has been changed. Instead of the original crispy fried chicken breast they used to serve on the salad, they now serve a previously breaded and frozen chicken patty cut up on the salad. Terrible! Whoever thought this would be a good idea should be fired! Why mess with a good thing? Was this done to add to Applebee's bottom line; i.e., less expensive, cheaper dish for them to serve the customer. Goodbye Applebee's; won't be going back!!! read more

I just had the most disgusting meal of my life. Keep in mind we have been at this Applebee's many time but tonight was our last! I ordered the three cheese chicken penne with NO CHICKEN. When it was brought out there was pieces of chicken on it from where they had picked it off. I sent it back the manager apologized and brought a new one. Fine I started eating and was surprised to find a BALL of HAIR. So yes I started throwing up had to run to the bathroom. This was beyond ridiculous. read more

Dining at the daycare here where the employees kids can run around like it a playground when your eating.

I am surprised that the servers are permitted to wear tank tops. Yoga pants are bad enough but a tank top with armpits exposed allowing deodorant with sweat particles to drop on the food and tables is gross. Is this even to health code standards? YUCK!!!! read more

Service is awful. Been here an hour without drink refills or food delivered while tables that were seated well after us received their meals. Complete confusion by the servers on who food belonged to. They wandered from table to table asking if you ordered the food they were carrying. Way below average service. Don't go unless you have hours to spare? read more

My parents come from Orlando and like this Applebee's much better than the one over there. I've never been to the one by them but we've gone to this one several times. I love the chicken wonton tacos, always good. One time I sat at the bar and ordered a mini sundae dessert but by the time it for to me it was like chocolate milk. Went there on 7/9/2015. Seated, given menus. One half hour later, still no waitress. Large party came in and they proceeded to set them up behind us. No thanks. We left, not sure if we will go back. Poor management. Understaffed. read more

Had to wait an hour and some change for my order, the appetizzers arrives fairly quickly. Its understandable it was packed not usual on a tuesday night. The manager came over to my table brought the food and apologized along with a fairly pretty good discount on the food. It wasnt the servers fault or his but the cooks. Always going there from now on the place its running totally different and the managers priority is customer service very well done !! read more

Have stayed away from this place for a couple years, decided to give it another shot with their new menu, definitely staying away for a couple more years. Portions are small and pricey for what you get, food still bland, don't waste your money on a steak here, go to Longhorn and for about $3 extra get a quality piece of meat across the board. They should just go back to being a dried out burger joint that has mushy pasta dishes that it was and focused the expenditure of revamping the place into food quality and service. read more

If you are an African American customer - please do not dine at the Applebees in Riverview Florida. The server was decent this evening but the manager on duty this evening was an obvious racist. I have been to several Applebees (actual here in Florida) and the standard is for the manager to circulate and ask customers how was your service , etc.... this particular manager (I watched him) went to all of the white customers tables , but LITERALLY skipped all of the tables that had African American customers. We were celebrating a birthday so I didn't want to ruin the evening - but its just a shame in 2015 how ignorant people still are. We are a well dressed very wealthy conservative family just trying to enjoy a nice dinner- and this......we have never laid eyes on this guy before. read more

We just came in town for vacation with our three kids and needed quick dinner in a familiar place. Applebee's seemed to fit the bill! Came in and the restaurant was dark and loud inside. No problem, we thought - we are in Florida, after all, sitting outside would be more pleasant anyway. Well, no sooner than we sat down, a loud group of three men sat nearby. At first we didn't mind, people gotta have fun sometimes, no problem. However, these guys were visibly drunk, stumbling whenever they got up, broke a glass, and were swearing loudly. An older lady yelled at them for swearing around young kids, and they apologized and got a little quieter, but still swearing loud enough for my kids to hear. They also tried to interact with other customers - not aggressively or in a mean way, but the last thing I need is some drunk strangers breathing their alcohol fumes onto my kids. We told our server that we thought they needed to address the issue, and she just said: "They are drinking, what can you do." She did get a manager, who pretty much said the same thing and added: "They only had one beer." Well, they clearly had way more than one, maybe before they came in, but really, that's not even an issue - I don't care how much they had, it's their behavior that we cared about. Don't get me wrong, I understand that people have to relax and have a good time of this sort, but there is a place and time for that, and a (presumably) family-friendly restaurant is not it, and it should up to the restaurant's management to convey the message, but they clearly preferred a bunch of drunk dudes to a family as their customers. I have been here twice in the last month it is now April 2016. So let me start by saying I ordered the nachos me and my girlfriend if I wanted just nachos with a little bit of meat and cheese sprinkled on it I could have done this at home it was the worst nachos ever seen in my life for $12. The rest of the food was okay nothing special. The second time I went in I ordered a grande enchilada. It look like it came out of a frozen meal it was so small like a kitty meal I was left starving for what they charge me the first time we spent $55 and that was a total waste of money the second time we spent $35 but let me say my girl did order buy 1 get 1 drinks so $7 was for that. Let me back up the first time I went and also the service was horrible the waitress is terrible I figured let me give it a second chance the waitress was fine the food was pitiful if I wanted to spend $30 on Kitty meals I could have went to Walmart and bought a frozen meal it would have been better I will never go back again read more
