I had a gift card, so I ordered through their app (which was a big mistake, considering how lousy their app is; frustratingly slow, and not too user friendly). Initially it said no ASAP; it couldn't have my order ready, so I set it to be picked up twenty minutes later. I got there; didn't see many cars in the parking lot. Granted it was a Sunday evening around 6:30pm. Went in through the wrong door and had to walk to the pick- up order area. The restaurant was hardly crowded. AT ALL. Had to wait five to ten minutes for anyone to address my pickup order; they were busy watching television, worried about their hours, etc. And it was 10 minutes past the pickup time. Finally someone asked if I was being helped; gave them my name. They finally brought my order out and it was warm. But they didn't have my Oreo shake ready. Had to wait five minutes for the BARTENDER to make it, and when she did, she didn't even thank me for waiting or apologize about the wait; she just angrily placed it on the counter and left. It looked awfully small to charge me $5.00 for it. Got home a few minutes later and unwrapped the bag to see what supposedly was worth $25. Soggy lettuce wrapped around an overcooked cheeseburger, a limp and pathetic quantity of fries to go with the cheeseburger ( I ordered an extra side of fries; that was pathetic, too. Looked like they were barely cooked). An Oreo shake that looked like it was barely any Oreos in it and they have to nerve to charge people $5.00 for this? I read the reviews for this location as well as the other locations in Ohio and they all seem to have the same issues. I thought I would luck out and have a decent experience; boy, was I wrong. I really tried giving Applebee's a shot after years. But I have no idea how it is still in business. Awful customer service. Dirty as heck inside. Rude customers. My soup was all cheese, no liquid. My boneless wings had a dry spicy rub on them instead of sauce. The mozzarella sticks were still frozen. The spinach artichoke dip was straight spinach & the most fake looking green you ever did see. I had a pick up order. The place was fairly empty on a Wednesday evening. The girl running the pick up counter had no urgency. They forgot to give me my sauce in the side on my boneless. All of these type of things were 100% expected when I chose to order there, so no big deal. We also ordered burgers and fries. The burgers were so salty we couldn't get more than 3 or 4 bites in. While I understand the short staffing of the restaurant industry right now I still don't understand the lack of service at this restaurant. When we enter the restaurant initially they were cleaning as if they were getting ready to close after asking several times we were finally seated, The hostess seemed very irritable and like she did not want to be at work which I didn't take personally. We were waiting on one more person so we told her server to which she walked away without any acknowledgment. Finally she came back and got her drink order and she bring our drinks out and then did not come back. Finally when she decided to return she got our orders without waiting for my friend to arrive after bringing an appetizer she never came back to refill our drinks and didn't come back until our entree came out. I never once got a refill on my water and by the time my friend came she never came back to the table to get his order until realizing he was there when she was attempting to drop the checks. I'm having trouble, giving this location a good review. Historically, we've always received great service here, but not this time. Our server had a great start, being very accommodating. Unfortunately, that slid as there were large gaps between her follow-ups. My 20 oz steak took longer to prepare, which I expected, due to its size and my "medium well" request. What upset me was the temperature of the remainder of the plate- less than warm. (When the meat takes longer, wait before you put the food in...) I told her that the steak was delicious, but my other items were on the 'cool' side of warm. She offered to take the plate up to be warmed, which I accepted. When she returned, she dropped it off without offering any kind of apology. I also had to make multiple requests for water and we had to make two requests for a carry out container. When it was time to leave, she took our payment but didn't offer any apologies for the bad experience, nor did she say, "Thank You" or even goodbye. Mind you, we were pleasant the entire time and gave no indication of frustration or dissatisfaction. The sad part is that it was my Birthday meal/coupon and she never once even wished me a "Happy Birthday". Not that I needed it. I can say that the steak was fabulous, but that was undone by a shockingly bad service experience. I could have complained to the manager, but I leave that to future customers. Went in for the appetizers with my boyfriend. When you look on the website it says appetizers every day from 3-6pm our server failed to inform us that had changed to 10pm until close. Food was fine but hard to mess up fried food. Our server Simon W and was more concerned about singing, joking around with fellow coworkers, hollering all the way from the kitchen, being on his phone, and hanging at the corner of the bar with other employees drinking on the clock. If we were gonna end up paying $50 on appetizers and having sub par service that cant even bother to give you a refill or correct information on what brought you in we would have went else where.
