The value for the money here is great. This is where I go when I want to have the dining experience but don't want to spend a lot. And it's perfect for just that! The kid's meals are less than $10 & there are ALWAYS seasonal deals happening for appetizers, drinks, combos etc. I got a fancy Christmas cocktail for $6 the other day. You aren't going to beat that price anywhere! The service is usually wonderful. Obviously, sometimes there is a wait or an overwhelmed server but that isn't ever enough of a reason to complain for me personally. The atmosphere is relaxing, you can usually see a game or an event on the multiple screens scattered around the restaurant. I went here with two others for a "Galentine's Day" dinner. While we usually enjoy going to the Wilton location, we decided on this one instead. The experience was disappointing. We each ordered our drinks. Two of us got Mucho drinks which were good, but the other drink (NA) did not arrive until after the entrees, so about 45 minutes. We had to ask for it several times. The entrees came out before the appetizer combo. The food was okay, some of it was cold, especially the apps since they came out so late. The reason I only put two stars was because of the service. Our server was named Kendrick, and I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that they may be new, having an off day, or were super busy due to the holiday. However, they didn't write anything down and had to ask several times what we ordered. Again, the drink that was 45 minutes too late. They barely checked on us, asking if the food was good or if we were missing anything. And we heard several other tables around us who had complaints about their order, the check or missing items. Both of us had the same entree. Which was the 8 oz steak medium rare. It came out sizzling with a great aroma. I was a customer until recently. I was told on my last visit that because I was there on doordash delivery that i was not a real customer and that i didnt matter. I was that belittled by the wait staff and larry the onduty manager who raised his hands at me. I am a veteran and when he did that I sternly advised him to never raise his hands at me again. I typically would never leave a bad review for a restaurant, even if something went wrong, but my experience with this specific location is literally mind blowing. I ordered Applebee's using DoorDash (which i always use and never have had an issue!) I ordered 2 for $20 from the menu and accidentally picked the wrong item after already confirming my order with DoorDash. I gave Applebee's a call to simply ask if i could swap out one of my items because i had made a mistake, and they said they couldn't do that for us because it was through a third party delivery service. This was totally fine because i knew it was my fault that i clicked the wrong item. So i had someone else at my home order another Applebee's Togo through DoorDash, under a different name/account, so we could add the correct item without having to deal with DoorDash cancellation fees/no refunds. No biggie! BUT, this is where it got bad!!!! I received an email from DoorDash saying one of my orders had been cancelled, which i never did considering i had just placed a second order to make up for the item i messed up on. I called back Applebee's to ask if they still had both orders because i was confused as to why my order was cancelled (i had already reached out to my dasher and he said there was only one order to be picked up that was going to my address) The man i talked to on the phone at Applebee's continued to tell me that they RIPPED UP AND THREW AWAY my ticket, and THEN said they had told our door dasher that WE CANCELLED our order. Can they even do that?!?!? This is already long enough, but now i get no refund from doordash (because this simply wasn't there fault and i don't expect anything from them honestly), and lost almost $40 because of An employees horribly judged decision to rip up a customers ticket and throw it away. No offer to refund us in anyway, no offer to have us pick up our order ourselves, NOTHING! Just a rude employee who told us it's not their fault. I order curbside takeout, the special was order a steak and add 10 shrimp for $1. I picked up my order, got home and realized there was no shrimp, checked the receipt and we were charged for it. We figured no big deal they made a mistake, I called them up and hey said it was a computer error. They were not doing the special because they were low on shrimp. The good thing about Applebee's is that you can get a wide variety of dishes, which makes it ideal for a group looking for some casual dining. You can also get a variety of drinks from beer to wine to cocktails. Hey, this isn't the penultimate dining experience, but you should know that going in. The food is OK, not great, and the staff is both friendly and helpful. Last time here, I had their Oriental Chicken Salad, which tasted good, but quite frankly was a rip off at $12.99. It was very small - the portion of chicken was fine, but the salad portion, which costs them almost nothing- was sparse . Absolutely can not stand this Applebee's location. Customer service is always terrible, you call ahead and they don't allow call ahead or reservation so you end up waiting over 30 mins. Every time we've been seated we can't get a drink order in for over 15 mins. Portion sizes are smaller than they used to be, and the tables are sticky which is unpleasing during these times. I personally prefer the Applebee's in Saratoga. read more

My family and I used to love Applebee's we would go here once a week, they always had great deals and great food. Unfortunately lately the food quality has gone down and the pricing has gone up. The steak was so thin and dry I'd compare it to beef jerkey, the chicken wrap was essentially a lettuce wrap with a hint of chicken, and the boneless wings were pretty much spicy bread with chicken in some of them. There's only a few things on the menu I really like, and even then, consistency can really affect my experience. I really enjoy the riblets, so that's practically the only thing I get. The wings are very good too most nights. There's a few other apps I like, so sometimes we will sample a few. They have a few servers who are quite good, but some others, not so much.
