This is the slowest Applebees in the United States of America. I don't know if they only have one cook or what the issue is but I've been sitting at a booth for an hour and 25 minutes waiting on my food. This is insane!!!! How do they think they can charge $17 a meal but take over an hour and 25 minutes to get it to your table? Applebees is on its way out of business if this is how they think they can operate. Also, the women's bathroom had a water filled paint bubble hanging from the ceiling which is kinda concerning Update: just got my food, it's been one hour and 41 minutes. There is barely any sauce in the pasta and I had to request a cup of sauce. Idk what they were doing for the past almost 2 hours but it wasn't cooking edible food. I got the 2 for 25 dollars special: I ordered the spinach artichoke dip, Fiesta lime chicken, and the 4 cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders. Honestly, the most disappointing thing about my meal was the Mac and cheese. There was barely any cheese on it! The honey pepper chicken tenders were crispy. I wish it had more of the honey sauce on it. My spinach dip was on the bitter side than I expected. The Fiesta chicken wasn't too bad. The chicken and rice are adequately seasoned. I will probably just stick with the drinks, and may try other food options. read more

The last two times we visited there they had poor service cold food we waited longer for the silverware than we did for our food and they made our mixed drinks so watered down it tasted like slushies from the gas station down the street. Tonight Gene was our server and our food was excellent. Again, not sure why there are so many negative reviews but we're happy every time we stop by. (Chk their reviews on Google Maps, they're much more up go date.) Our food was hot, delicious and came out promptly. The service was good but nothing special. The food was not good. Two of us got the four cheese Mac and cheese and it was not Mac and cheese at all but penne with a thin Alfredo type sauce with a few pieces of bacon sprinkled on it. I looked up their Mac and cheese later and it was nothing like the pictures I saw. If you run out of something then you should tell the customer before substituting. Two of us got the Robles. They did not have much flavor and very little sauce although they were tender. The coleslaw was in a plastic sauce container so it was like two bites. The mozzarella sticks were the highlight of the meal. They were hot and the cheese was melted. The fries were limp and had a weird flavor. I will not go back to this location ever. read more

For a change we thought Applebee's would be good for dinner. It was about 6PM on a Monday night. The menu looked great, and we decided to order carry out. I have a $50 Applebee's gift card so I thought it best I go inside and order. After entering the front door there was no greeter. I told the first server that passed me "I Need to order carry out". She told me to go to the bar. There was nobody at the bar, customers, or bartender. After at least 10 minutes of being ignored, I thought I would try to order on line. I did not find Applebee's a customer friendly site. A server finally did come to the bar to use the cash register, and I asked for her help. It looked like the order went through, and my $50 gift card was charged. Many more minutes had passed, and long enough to expect my food. The server who was attending the bar came out with a to go order, and asked if I was that person. Not being that person she went back to the Manager, and she told me he was trying to find my order. After many more minutes nothing was happening so I asked the server to check the balance of my $50 gift card. She did, and the balance was the original $50, and my order was not in the system. She said I needed to reorder, and I told her no thank you, and walked out the door. Well over 30 minutes wasted at Applebee's in Osage Beach. read more

We typically enjoy AppleBees. This was our first experience at this restaurant. Our server was fine, restaurant was clean and pleasant. However, the ribs, which is our Applebee's regular, were just passable. Certainly nothing to order again. Watch out for the sides! Our two for $25, ended up costing almost $35! When ordering baked potato as a side, the server asked if we wanted the cheese, bacon, etc, we of course, said yes. Little did we realize the little bit of cheese and few pieces of bacon cost an additional $2.50 per potato. I checked the menu, and sure enough, in very small, light print, this is stated. A server should mention this additional cost since such toppings are normal fare everywhere else. It seems apparent they want to encourage the toppings, yet do not want to clearly state the outrageous additional cost. Had much the same result with a veggie order, which had an up charge. They will not have to worry about our complaints in this area, because we'll likely not be returning. All could be avoided if the servers will just ensure that you are aware of an up charge when applicable. read more

I went to this establishment tonight with my family to have supper. The place was clean and the parking were fine. The waitress we had was good too. I could not look past the food. Ordered food for curbside pickup last night. The order said food will be finished and ready for pickup at 6:48. Arrived at the restaurant at 6:45 and waited outside at the curb side pickup location for 20 minutes. Finally, wife went inside and the bartender said" hey, we are busy in here, just have to wait". Random server said, "its not my job, its the bartenders job". Finally, another server said "oh, your foods over here" and the bartender said "its not my problem, we are so busy!" Where do I begin? With the HOSTESS! My family visited this Applebee's last night and I could not believe how rude and incompetent our Hostess & Waiter were. When you go into a nearly empty business and the Hostess tries to seat you exactly right next to a family in a booth (Pandemic Measures) (Distancing) NOPE! Empty place and Hostess gets mad because I asked to be seated 1 table away from the occupied one. She even threw/slung our coasters down on the table and stomped off mad. Then our waiter comes over, poor Josh... he's not suited for being a waiter. I'm just going to say 3 of us ordered Ribeye's & the fourth ordered a Sirloin. We were served 3 Sirloins and 1 Ribeye. I sent mine back because I can't eat Sirloin and everyone was finished before I got my supper back. The other member of our party just went ahead and ate 3/4 of his and was thoroughly unhappy & left hungry and unsatisfied. We normally don't complain BUT we ordered 2 drinks from the Bar and had to remind server repeatedly that we had been waiting a long time. Long story short: Waiter did NOT listen to us or bring us the right dinners, Hostess was not practicing safe distancing seating customers and actually got hateful and rude when we requested to do so. I understand Good Help is hard to find at the Lake of Ozarks but SERIOUSLY, do you have to hire people who are not fit for public service? I live here full time and have never been treated as such ANYWHERE else. Never again!!! The onion soup was just luke warm. The cheese they placed on top was barely melted, which made it hard to eat, I guess they didn't want to take time to broil it, microwave good enough for the cook? And the drinking water??? Why does the water here taste so weird? I've ate at other places in Osage Beach but can't hardly drink it here. The waitress was very good. Went for an early dinner and have to say it was terrible. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and they were the most dried out, toughest and meatless ribs I have ever had. My husband and I regularly visit the many of the St. Charles County locations and I would give each of those restaurants a MINIMUM of 3 stars, some I'd give 4 or 5! The hostess here had an attitude and the server had absolutely NO sense of urgency. It took 10 minutes for the server to stop at our table, at that time we gave her our entire food and drink order. After that, waited another 15 minutes for two margaritas that the bartender ended up bringing us (mind you we were one of MAYBE 7 tables in the building).
