We arrived around 11:30 am on a Sunday and were offered a high top in the bar. We asked for a booth and were immediately seated. Then we sat and sat...no service, watching people get seated and served immediately around us, for over 20 minutes. Our server Bayli came over and apologized as we were grabbing our things to leave; apparently no one had let her know we were in her section. Regardless, it would have been nice if anyone in the place checked on us. I guess seeing us there without service for that long wasn't obvious, despite the place being barely half full. After Bayli convinced us to stay, we decided to take advantage of the $25 for 2 deal - house salads for both of us, O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger for me and the chicken strip meal for hubby. The house salads came out quickly and looked scrumptious with diced tomatoes, cucumber then topped with cheese and croutons. The Ranch dressing was actually quite good. Hubby has thousand island dressing and it looked and tasted freshly made. Food came out 10 minutes after we had finished our salads and my cheese-adilla queso platter burger was sizzling with crispy cheese bits. I pried the burger quesadilla off that fajita plate and after one bite....that was it. It was if the cheese gods touched my soul and filled it with joy. The chips and queso were a nice side, though the queso on top was cold. Once I dug down into the abyss of cheese, it was much warmer underneath. Since they have Pepsi products there, they removed Diet Pepsi which is a huge downside (and a reason we won't go there as often, regardless of how good that O-M-Cheese-adilla Burger is). Hubby's chicken strips were cooked well but seemed like they were frozen to fried kind of strips. No dessert or drinks on the house to make up for the unacceptable wait time. While our server, Loni, was absolutely awesome, the rest of the night was just so-so. We came in at 5:30, so peak dinner and knew we would have a little wait so we're fine there. However, at least 5 tables left while we stood there and we watched thee of the dirty tables just stay uncleaned, including the larger table in the bar that was full of dirty dishes before we walked in and was still uncleared when we went to our table in the back 20 minutes later. When we sat down, the table was still unwashed. Food particles and crumbs littered the top. When Loni came by, we asked her to please wash that table and she was right on it and wholly apologetic. In this, do better Applebees! As for the food, my chicken sandwich was dry, I am glad I kept the mustard sauce from the pretzel appetizer to put on it. My husband ordered the chicken parm and fettuccine and got a three cheese penne with chicken that had no salt. He didn't want to have to wait so we just ate it and said once he salted it, the dish was good. The salad only had lettuce , tiny pieces of Cucumber and a sprinkle of Parmesan on it. No other options to put on the salad! I did get their lemon oil salad dressing which was really good. My son ordered chicken Cesar salad. His salad only came with dressing, lettuce, a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and it looked and tasted like old dried out chicken tenders cut up. Wow ! My boyfriend and I ordered delivery from Applebees for the first time in over a year and we had a less than positive experience, at least at first. He ordered nachos, I ordered the quesadilla salad and a drink. Right after we were notified the delivery was dropped off at our door, I right away noticed my drink was nowhere to be found.. and on top of the missing drink, the food was disappointing especially my guy's nachos which were completely cold. We decided to contact the applebees location and it took a bit to get transferred to the manager but once she spoke with my man, she was very apologetic and determined to make things right. We feel bad because we were very frustrated when speaking with her at first because we paid nearly $60 for this order and it wasn't the quality that we know applebees is more than capable of and she was very polite and showed she valued us as customers and appreciated the feedback. She offered to have the entire order remade as well as a complimentary dessert. We took her up on her offer and I went to pick it up and got to meet the manager Lacey in person as she brought everything out to my car when I arrived. We truly appreciate her kindness, you can tell she really cares about the quality of food her restaurant puts out and the food was made perfectly this time around ! My goodness, I expected something to change here but after the remodel, it's definitely changed for the worse. We were seated my a very underwhelming and shy hostess. Wrong person for that job! We were greeted so coldly. We took our seats and our waitress came by to take our drink order. A Cadillac margarita, a margarita flight and a strawberry lemonade. All 3 sucked. So I must say, we are off to a really shitty start. We also ordered the combination appetizer platter. It was great, when it finally arrived. It was forgotten by the waitress. We had no silverware, napkins or plates on our table. When our appetizer platter was remembered, it arrived really late. I mentioned to our server that entree's better not arrive right behind this. We were told no problem, we've got you covered. Sure as shit, 5 minutes later our entree's arrive at our table. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs. Now call me crazy, but, where is the rib meat on these bones? These ribs were paper thin. The bones were thicker than the meat on the bone. The bartender ruined our drinks, the cook served me a rack of bones with Honey BBQ sauce, with a cup of cole slaw you would not give to your worst enemy. The entire dinner was a flipping disaster! Our son asked for a burger without tomato and lettuce. You called it, the burger had both in it. I'm not sure what this Applebees did during their remodel, but they sure chased us away for good. Our server was more concerned with talking with her friends at different tables than to deliver us our drink order or our appetizers in a timely fashion. As I said, the complete dumpster fire came to life while entertaining our son who is here visiting us for Christmas. I will acknowledge the manager came to our table twice and adjusted our bill accordingly. But I just wanted a good meal in my neighborhood. That did not happen. Applebee's still can't cook and serve good quality food. The one here in Nampa was just terrible at all levels. Take a pass and read all of the other one star reviews if you need more proof. Ordered the chicken won ton taco appetizer. It was very good but overpriced for four tiny tacos. ($10) My husband ordered the ribeye steak and I got the three cheese chicken penne. His steak was just okay but my pasta was absolutely fabulous. I could eat that every day. Will definitely go back just to have it again. The breadstick was pretty much flavorless though. Visited the location in Nampa on the boulevard. Place was quick to get us a table, asked for a booth though. We were served quick and the waitress was friendly. Decided to go with the 2 for $25 and I ordered the steak & sides and the Buffalo wings were a little dry; just needed a little more sauce. Steak was really rare, but they replaced it with a new one. My experience... I walk in and there is no hostess. It wasn't busy, maybe less than half capacity. When we did get seated my both was broken. The seat was sliding around all over.it took about 10mins to see a menu from walking in. Granted not bad if they were packed. The waitress wasn't trained right. She was difficult to hear and she forgot my drink. The wings were horrible. Not America's favorite. 17$ for 10 wings I expected them to be bomb but they look and tasted like the cheap bag of wings at Walmart. The bag you get 30 wings for 17. This is so overdue, this place deserves praise months ago! I'm an out of towner and used to going places late in the evening. Having to come to quieter, slower paced Nampa several times in one summer, had nowhere to go after dinner hours. Until I found this lovely establishment. Used the car side pickup for the first time after ordering online. First, we couldn't find any where to park as indicated. Second, after my wife went inside to get our order and we returned home, they had screwed up my order. I asked to omit the mashed potatoes and substitute the green beans. Instead, they omitted my broccoli and left the potatoes. A high protein-low carb diet doesn't work well with potatoes. Called the restaurant and they wanted me to sit on hold waiting for a manager to come up with a solution. I live a good distance away, so getting back there wouldn't work. Do not go to applebees on the boulevard in nampa idaho. We went there upon opening and waited 20 minutes before even being seated. Afterwards waited another 20 min before any kind of order was taken. After that it was a good 30 mins before even our drinks were served. Once they were our waitress was taking the order of table beside us and i mentioned i needed a straw. She replied with a very bad attitude that a fellow waiter had not shown up and snidely told me that she was doing her best. She hadn't delivered the waters we requested so when we also asked again for them she finally delivered them by slamming them down on the table and angrily stating "heres your straws!" Another 15 minutes later so an hour later she delivered our food, which for me was riblets. The riblets consisted of nothing but a pile of bones covered in bbq sauce, and the fries were old and inedible. At that moment we decided to just leave without eating our food. After we left i called to talk to the manager. She apologized and swore to send me a gift card to compensate but nothing ever appeared in my email.
