so me and my girlfriend went here for our anniversery, we ordered our food to go and at first it was great service. we ordered our food then waited in our car like they asked, only for us to get the food and get back home and realize they gave me the wrong food completely. so we drove back to the restaurant where we talk to a manager who seemed too old to even comprehend what i was saying. we explained our issue and she went back to get the right food, so we wait another 30-40 min while she gets our food but she came out with the wrong food again. so when i told her she acted like this is what i wanted the whole time. after ordering my food at 8 and waiting all the way till 10, she finally came out with the right order but there was barely any chicken or pasta and there are literally 2 pieces of peppers in it. If only there was something he could do. If you're too good to help your team members, they don't have a server problem they have a management problem. It's no wonder they can't keep a staff. We came here for dinner in the middle of a very long drive. We ordered regular cheese bites, two sirloins with mashed potatoes and fries, and drinks. So I am 19 and I haven't been to Applebee's since I was prob 10. I use to love to come here with my grandparents and after tonight coming with my girlfriend the food hasn't changed and it is still as good as I remember it. This is your basic Applebee's location. I've found across most areas, the menu is usually the same, so my review here is not based on food. It is based on our waiter/bartender, Moses. Dude was super cool, sat with us and had a conversation about where we were traveling and where we had come from. It was a late night tgetting into Montgomery, Alabama and being in an area we knew nothing about was a bit intimidating. We hadn't planned on staying in the area, but we had been on the road for awhile and had a sudden change in plans, so this is where we ended up. We stopped at the first place we saw to have a very later dinner. Moses made the night enjoyable and showed that southern hospitality you always hear of. They were very good, but not as spicy / hot as we expected. I ordered the Thai Chicken Salad and was very satisfied with it. Absolutely terrible. Three people at our table, one of us ordered the bourbon chicken. It was burnt and the onions and mushrooms were also burnt. Not sautéed, burnt. He tried to eat it but said he felt like he was literally forcing himself to eat a rubber chicken. So after a bit or two, he stopped and asked the server to discount his meal because it wasn't edible. Discount. Not take the whole meal off, but simply discount it in an attempt to not upset the server and to let the manager make the decision to do the right thing. However, the manager never came and spoke to us or tried to make the meal or ticket right. Instead, took three dollars off a 50$ meal, (basically took a sweat tea off). Any other restaurant wouldn't have let food come out of the kitchen like that, and any manager that wanted to retain guests or even took pride in their job would've been embarrassed and at least apologized to try and make it right. We did however get to hear her sing R&B throughout the restaurant.... On the way out, we noticed a table where the same bourbon chicken meal was also burnt and un-eaten by the person who just left the table, so I know this is something that wasn't exclusive to us or a one time event. The host said no we will just turn the music down. The host did not turn the music down. The only reason I couldn't give it one star was because our waiter tried his best. Right as he was back at out table to take our order the music was blasting yet again however they changed the genre to Adel and Taylor Swift (maybe thinking we'd like it better?) but that's not what I asked I wanted quieter music doesn't matter what type is played.
