Good spot. Above average service for this chain. Food was good, no issues. Suggestions. I'd put film on front door was it faces directly west and that sun coming thru was not pleasant. Only impacts a few tables. Also, slip and fall hazards on floor. No one cleaning up chips, napkins and lettuce on floor for over an hour near entrance and bar area. Asked for buffalo wings and got honey bbq, asked if it could be switched and the audacity of this woman trying to tell us that we didint order Buffalo wings when 3 people at the table confirmed it. I came here and found out that they were offering a all you can eat meal. I friend of mine recommended it and told me about the possibility of the all you can eat. The meal included Shrimp with fries, Baby back ribs or Boneless chicken. You could only order one at a time. It came with different sauces. And coleslaw. I am not a huge eater. But it was a nice way to try out different things for only $15. They don't recommend it but you can also share. The food was good but I would equal it to barfood style meals. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. If and when they have it again I will be back. read more

I'm a 60 year old man. My wife and I stopped by Applebee's 9PM Saturday February 8th 2025. My wife kissed me on my left ear and the manager screamed from the bar area to our corner table next to the window, "This is a family establishment!!!'. I just shook my head. It was a snowy day and 4 cars including mine parked across from the "To Go" parking. Since the ground wasn't groomed and there wasn't handicapped signs none of the patrons knew that was a handicapped area. The manager went from table to table yelling if those 4 cars belonged to each customer in the restaurant. I told her that one car was mine. She wanted me to move it at 15 minutes to closing time. I paid for my meal and left our drinks behind. The wait staff told me as I left that the manager treats them even worse than the customers. I used to frequent Applebee's in Monroe Michigan, & purchase $500+ gift cards every December. I'm not going where I am accosted while trying to enjoy a meal out. Absolutely Disgusted, S. Terrible food and service. Ordered Salad,NY stripe, potato. Ordered drink and then the wait began. After sitting for over 30 minutes we asked the waitress how long it would take. She went to the kitchen and then returned with steak. Asked if they were growing the lettuce for our salad and she forgot to order it????? The steak overcooked appetite was gone and salad not so good. We have been here a few times being unhappy and thinking it was just an and oversight but this was the last straw. Just ate at the Applebees in Monroe. The waitress was nice but when they brought out our food they never brought our 10yo meal out. I had to ask the waitress what was going on. When she went to look she said they accidentally gave her meal to someone else. After waiting 25min for them to remake it they still charged full price and offered no apologies. There are better places to eat in Monroe and several are locally owned. Go spend your money there and avoid this place. read more

Well I've patronized this location many times since it opened and I'm getting back to eating out after a year of COVID restriction. Well I decided to go with 3 friend a d we are all retired. We were seated right away and amply spaced from others. I did see them allowing many folks to enter Not wearing masks which concerned me. We got a wait staff right away, the group I was with had lots of catching up to do. She took our drink order and we started chatting. Well we all looked at each other and said Oh MY GOD what the hell are they playing ? The music was so loud and acid rock and Rapping I felt like I was in some rock concert. It went on and on and by that time we had ordered and the food came ASAP. It was head banging music that it was NOT the atmosphere I was use to and was hard to have a conversation at all. The waiting area was packed full of people, which is somewhat expected on Saturday night, but not when there was ample seating to immediately seat 20 and more. The staff displayed their incompetency by hiding in the back with Brian, the manager, while we waited 20 minutes before the staff returned to seat people. I ordered a take out dinner. I ordered steak, medium rare, a salad and a lemmonaid. I always order the same thing, I like to cut my steak up and put it on top of my salad. Well this piece of meat, at least that's what they called it, was NOT medium rare. It was way overly well done. I couldn't even cut it. And to top it all off my lemmonaid never got to me I'll never eat here again as I wasted $50 on a meal I didn't even get to eat or drink my damn lemmonaid. My family and I stopped here for late night dinner after being in the car for over five hours. Let's face it: there's not too many restaurants that are open around 10pm on a weeknight. For a restaurant that always advises 'open until midnight or later' I feel as though they should expect a late night crowd and be able to handle the business. The restaurant was pretty dead when we strolled in. The hostess was cleaning menus while texting on her phone and said somebody will be right with us. At least she acknowledged us, right? After a few minutes she sat us at a nearby table. We got our drinks and food orders sent in at a reasonable time. Just the wait to get our food took over 45 minutes. This seems to be a common issue for every Applebee's I have ever been to. Perhaps hire more help for late night shifts? Thank goodness for the fast wifi! The food was typical. Lukewarm and average. Our appetizer, the NEW nachos were not impressive to say the least. If I could have given zero stars I would have. Hostess was very nice and seated us quickly. But our server was awful. Took 15 mins to get drinks we ordered the 2/$24 meals my husband and I it took up a good half hour to get our salads. When our food finally came another 20 mins later my food was cold and horrible. When I mentioned this and asked for a manager no one ever came. We asked three times for refills of drinks water/Pepsi we never got them. They weren't very busy so not sure why it took so long. But Monroe Applebees has gone down hill horrible food and horrible service. We rarely get a date night out and this was a waste of our time. We will never return. Their food and service was great in the past and this is the second time this had happened. I ate a quarter of my food and my salad had so much dressing it was so soggy. Applebee's used to be a go-to place when you couldn't decide what you wanted to eat and didn't want to pay too much. The selection was broad and the prices were decent. However, it seems the menu keeps shrinking (or at the least has less variety) and the prices go up. I guess that's how things go. My recent trip was quite the disappointment. The clubhouse grille, a favorite of mine, is no longer like it was. Doesn't even come close to looking like the picture on their own website. The bread was soggy, almost no meat, way too much lettuce, and hardly any sauce. Service at this location is hit and miss, with this last time here being a bit of a miss. I'm guessing for how the waitress was acting, she was ready to go home and wanted us out as soon as possible. This hasn't been true in the past, though, so perhaps it was just a one-time disappointment. read more

I made a purchase last night which they messed up and I had to go back twice, I don't have a legit pic form of id because of sec of state but the first time refused me for a mojito ....the second time I came back they charge me for FOUR Mojito's!!! HOW are they able to be served to me when I was denied the first time? then when I came home the first time all they had for me was my appetizers in a bag I called the second time I go back they have just the entrees in the bag but they charge over $110 and then the tip was $10 for $41 and then another bazaar tip for a mess up they did to begin with!!! I would like to speak to someone regarding this not at this location but at a higher ranking position because to be honest it's bullshit and I am very unhappy the food wasn't good it was cold my steak wasn't cooked the way it was supposed to be and the noodles were hard didn't hear me complain about that to the manager though until she won't refund me any of my money and they double charged us never again will you have our business or any of our friends and family read more
