Well is did not start out to well after I walked in. The hostess was at another table with other employees. She saw me waiting then kept talking and eventually came up to the desk. I decided to sit at the bar and service improved tight away. Had the Salmon, mashed potatoes and Broccoli. Asked the cook to over cook the broccoli and he did not disappoint. Everything else was wonderful with my meal. It may be my eyes deceiving me but it looks like the portions are a little smaller than they use to be. Enjoyed my meal and was satisfied. read more

I ordered lunch burger and fries. Fries had no crunch and cooked in old grease. Spouse ordered the "New" Spicy Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich. The description is : " Crispy, hand-breaded "... it was not breaded. The waitress seemed newish and unsure about things, but she was very nice and attentive. read more

This Applebee's is always, always a hit or miss. Either it's served cold, old and overcooked. Today, it was a hit. I ordered the Bourbon Street chicken and andouille sausage penne and my mom had the classic broccoli chicken penne. Absolutely delicious. Presentation was beautiful and appetizing. My dad said his ribs were good and moist. Whomever was in the kitchen tonight....Nice, attentive waiter as well. Hope she was happy with her tip! read more

the service here was absolutely amazing as always but my main problem is the manager she does not seem to fit the part especially whenever she is body shaming one of her employees about something they have no control over that is unacceptable and highly unprofessional read more

Love chicken tortilla soup! The best. Thai shrimp salad is awesome. Just ate one scoop of ice cream. Fantastic. Now I have to run 20 miles to burn all calories. But the service is very slow. I could take a power nap before the food is served. I ordered salmon today. The piece was very small Service poor. They charged me for game that I never played. Please check your bill for false charge for the game. read more

We stopped here on our way to Jackson. We were a group of 17.... and it was Mother's Day.... and they managed to get us seated (some at bar, some at high tops) within a few minutes. Plus 5! But that's where things went downhill. Service was extremely slow. I ordered a bacon burger with no fried, substitute Caesar salad. She brought me the burger (added cheese which cost more) and fries and a Caesar salad! I didn't want the fries! The burger was way over cooked and the bacon was over done and burnt in several places too. Make sure you check your receipt before paying because they added a $1.99 game fee to my friend's receipt, even though she never touched the console on the table. To make matters worse, the bathrooms were in horrible condition. Two of the women's stalls were unable to lock! How is that something they've allowed to happen?!? And they were filthy as heck!! Baby diapers just out on the floor and counter? What?! Will not visit this location again, and consider yourself warned if you do. read more

I went in yesterday 12/20 and I had Matt as my server. he seemed very distracted, he didn't check on our table much at all. he was talking to his coworkers more than anything. eventually a girl brought our food out and I had to ask her for ranch which I already asked Matt for because he was just standing in the bar watching the tv. worst server I've ever had. read more

I am getting SO tired of people dissing Applebee's -- not just this one, but the probably 250 I've been to over a 50-year career as a sportswriter. It's always about the "service," as if the servers don't have lives, and sometimes aren't on the top of their game.? People? Want great service guaranteed at a restaurant? Go to a Michelin-starred place. Otherwise, give your server a breakl and enjoy the food. Anyway: In the middle of a road trip, walked into this one, and Jennifer, behind the bar, was positively glowing with gladness at welcoming me. Efficient? Times two. Friendly and funny? Same. The food? I had a Tex-Mex salad with tons of grilled chicken. Wife had the chicken quesadilla salad...both fantastic. My request: Next time you visit a fast-casual chain place, put yourself behind the bar, or in the server hustling something from the kitchen because a patron is pissed. People, these are people. And Jennifer is among the best of them. read more

After a long travel time was really hungry. This was one of the few places that was open late so we stopped in. Was a little leary after our other Applebee's experiences. We were sat immediately and it took a little bit for our server to get to us, but she was busy taking care of her other tables and helping the other servers. We chose to do the 2 for $ and got the artichoke dip. The down side was the appetizer arrived about 5 minutes ahead of our main course. Other than that, and despite how busy our waitress was, the food was good and the restrooms were wheelchair friendly. read more

I have not eaten at an Applebee's in at least 25 years based upon a terrible service event in Appleton, WI that caused me to boycott them. After three days of driving, pulling a boat from Phoenix, AZ, we decided to stay overnight in Meridian, MS. There was an Applebees near our hotel so we decided it was time to give them another chance. I couldn't wait for a cold beer! I dropped my wife at at the front door to get a table while I parked my car & boat out in the back of the parking lot. When I walked in the door, a waitress with red braids sitting at a table with others pointed me toward my wife's seat. I sat down and we waited for 15 minutes with the staff sitting on their lazy asses just looking at us but never came over to bring us a water, take a drink order or anything. I can't provide a rating on their food or their service as there wasn't any. See you in another 25 years Applebees! read more

I entered the curbside pickup area to place an order. There was a person doing something at the register who looked up at me and did not say a word and kept on doing what she was doing, then walked away. After that, at least 3-4 employees passed by me and did not say one word. Finally the manager saw me standing there and asked if anyone had helped me, and I told him, no. He took my order and after a short wait, he brought my order out and I was on my way. I didn't notice until I got home that I was missing an order of fries. The food wasn't for me so I can't comment on the taste, but honestly, I normally like the taste of the food at Applebee's. Good food, bad service. read more

Don't waste your money on food that is barely even eatable. This place is sad compared to others.

Absolutely worst service and drink. I asked for a simple vodka and club soda. Sorry, no club soda. Ok, I'll have a skinny margarita. I just really do not like the sugar syrup. It was horrible. Then I tried to order wonton tacos. Sorry, no wonton shells. Done. Went next door and they had whatever I wanted. Never again. We come through quite often. We will not be going back again. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! After driving 9 hours and checking into the hotel, we decided on what we knew was good food and service. I'm so disappointed in Applebee's in Meridian! Employees sitting down and bs'ing with other co-workers, ignoring tables and forgetting request. This was 5pm during the week. Only 5 tables occupied. Should have been a sign. I finally went to the bar to get a re-fill of tea since our server was busy sitting and chatting. The bartender was more attentive of us than our server. The food was ok but not Applebee's ok! The manager walked by to clear plates. I confirmed she was the manager and she apologized as it was shift change. Employees sitting in dining, chit chatting and complaining about the shift with on coming staff. Total disbelief. As a manager myself, I would have closed the doors, finished the tables that were sat and FIRED each and everyone one of them!!! (Other than the gal bartender, She was good). Will be hard to eat at Applebee's again. And yes, it's a normal stop for us always. Good Luck! read more

Service was horrible. Waitress didn't come back after taking order. No refills, didn't check on us, nothing. Food was ok- most items were lukewarm at best. Horrible dining experience. read more

Food was good pricing was ok But the cleanliness of this store is pretty bad Menus were sticky and nasty with food on them the floors were very bad and if you are not careful you could slip on the tile from spills not being cleaned up staff was friendly but you could hardly see out the front window it is so dirty and smeared Funny thing is when we were walking in a regional manager was walking out his name I believe was Albert I think just caught a glimpse of his name tag it is a shame read more

Our experience with this Applebee's on February 28 was worse than terrible. It first started with the hosts being incredibly rude because I did not have a mask on. I am a healthy person without need of a mask (they don't work anyway). We only wanted to walk 5 feet to the bar. I get it so I digress about the mask. I put a mask on to walk 5 feet to the bar. Sat at the bar for no less than 12 minutes before someone acknowledged our presence. While waiting for someone to show up, my sister went to the restroom. I noticed the floor all around was absolutely disgusting. Upon her return, she told me how disgusting the bathroom was, two stalls out of order and trash everywhere. We ordered two beers and an order of the pretzels and beer cheese dip. When the order arrived the cheese dip had been left in the microwave too long and it was crusted around the edge of the bowl. The pretzel bread sticks were shiny (clue of greasy). The cheese dip was more like a powdered cheese and water dip. So watery and thin. The pretzels were more like greasy breadsticks. Taste horrible! I will say the bartender was extremely kind and hospitable unlike the hosts. My maskless face was the least of this establishment's problem. Health department needs to pay a visit. Will NOT go back. (No pictures were taken, too frustrated to think about taking any) read more

Was told there would be in excess of an hour wait and the parking lot was halfway empty not sure whats going on with that.

Service was quick and friendly visited for the $1 drink specials - margaritas. Best place to go for happy hour. Food is good too

I purchased the bourbon steak. It was supposed to come with mushrooms and onions. The steak was so tough I could not even cut it with a knife. There were no mushrooms at all. There was no manager on duty just a key holder. So they did not even comp for the food that was not edible. The service with Tavia was great!! read more

I wish we would have checked Yelp reviews before eating here. They do not know how to cook a steak to save their lives. They also evidently don't date their coleslaw (old). Don't suggest you make the same mistake read more

It was very average. The Mac and Cheese had no flavor. The waitress was the best part of the meal.

I know what you are thinking, it is a chain and I should not be expecting too much. The food was definitely average. I ordered from the happy hour menu and my food arrived cold. I returned the boneless wings because they were awful. The manager came by to apologize and removed it from our bill, I did appreciate that. My husband ordered the steak and his portion looked like a kids' meal. He said it didn't taste that great either, we should have stuck with the burgers. Overall, the dining was just ok. read more

Really, not much to say about this place. Decently priced place with a classic American ambience, but the food is flavorless a lot of the time and the options are limited. I've never been a fan of American themed restaurants like this, but despite the small menu, there is something for everyone. An okay time if people wanna go somewhere cheap and don't want to wait in any long queues. read more

Service was OK, staff was friendly but not detail oriented. (We had a mix up on our order but we'll chalk It up to a miscommunication). But the food was lacking. Burgers were thin (think McDonalds) and not very tasty. We ordered the Caprese burger and there was maybe a 1/4 teaspoon of the aioli and no fresh basil. Fries were typical. Not a location we'll visit again. read more

This had to be one of the worst food services I've ever had. The restaurant wasn't busy so they had no excuse. I went in with a party of 7. It took 15 mins for a person to ask for our drinks and order our food. Then we got our appetizers before our drinks. It took 40 mins for them to bring our drinks after our server took our order. Then it took another 35 mins for our food to come out. The restaurant was out of half of their menu. So after we ordered she came back about 20 mins after to say they didn't have half of our foods. We never got our drinks refilled. And whenever we'd try to get our servers attention, she'd ignore us and walk away. read more

The service was good, even got $3 off by taking a quick survey. We ordered the strawberry avocado salad and it was okay but it literally looked like we got one strawberry and a 1/4 of an avocado on each salad, so it wasn't a great value overall. read more

Well, seating was fast but there was only 5 tables that had people seated. The wait person took our drink order and came back with wrong drink. We waited and waited as the wait person was seated talking with other employees about the weekend, children, friends, management, and other things. I tried to not want to listen, but it was right across from our table. We finally went to the bar to get the non-alcohol drink as the wait person saw us go and get it. Food was ok, but appeared to have been sitting waiting to be served because the wait person was still socializing. As food was delivered, wait person quickly left without asking us if everything was ok. I wanted to ask for dipping sauce but wait person vanished although reappeared to sit and check in with friends. But honestly, we wouldn't have gotten anything extra until the meal was done anyways as socializing was WAY more important than helping any of us. Oh, almost forgot, the phone rang seemed like 10 minutes straight with no one answering it. Had to giggle because I wanted to get up and answer it my dang self! read more
