Running a half marathon in Meridian, Mississippi sure builds up an appetite. After we finished, got cleaned up, and decided on where to eat, we ended up here at Buffalo Wild Wings.
I had forgotten that the ambiance of any Buffalo Wild Wings was considerably loud, due to the non stop sports action they have playing on multiple television screens in the restaurant. With that said, my friend from Arizona and I came here around 2:45pm for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We thought there was NFL games on, but forgot it wasn't Sunday. Lol With that said, the experience here at Buffalo Wild Wings Meridian lasted about 1 1/2 hours. As tired as we were from the 13.1 mile race we had earlier that morning, we couldn't pass up a meal here. We thought of this late lunch as reloading and recovering. I ultimately ordered the Philly cheese steak, which was served with French fries. I also got in a side order of potato wedges too. I forgot what my friend ordered, but ended up taking photos of my order. The end result was delicious and definitely hit the spot when sore feet and tired bodies were demanding food to help heal the damage inflicted earlier through crazy endurance via running. It's a thing. I enjoyed the Philly cheese steak more than the fries. The potato wedges were better than the fries.
The overall experience here at this Buffalo Wild Wings in Meridian, Mississippi was decently good and yet average. Nothing was out of the ordinary and the service here was good and professional. I couldn't really rate the ambiance, since everything was loud and turned up to everyone's favorite local team here at the time. It appeared that it was an Ohio State game, if I remember correctly. The restaurant was large enough to hold a block party, but intimate enough to have a private party. It was clean and very much had a pretty good vibe of an ambiance, just loud. We had a nice meal that helped us recover and recuperate from 13.1 miles of running. I basically adored the Philly cheese steak and wished I had ordered extra to go for dinner that night (but didn't). Still, it was a good late lunch and an end to a nice weekend here in Meridian, Mississippi. If you are in the area and love good bar / fast food with a heavy dose of college and nfl sports, consider coming here to Buffalo Wild Wings, where they show college and NFL games every weekend during the fall. I imagine they'd do MLB during the spring as well. If you're in the area, come on by. It's one of the few sit down restaurants in Meridian you can enjoy while watching the game and having lunch. While my stay here was short, i would have liked to come back during football season to see this place cranked up. I'm sure it would be amazing to see the local favorite win the big one! Recommended if you love burgers, fries, and everything in between!
This Buffalo Wild Wings Meridian location is situated at 114 US Hwy 11 & US Hwy 80 East on the eastern side of the city. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. Not sure if I had alcohol during this experience, but it would have been nice, especially after covering 13.1 miles on foot. They have a generous serving of parking spots here, if you are traveling here in your own car or renting one. Not sure about public transportation options here in Meridian, but I got here by a friend who had a rental car, which was nice. Uber and Lyft is at your disposal too, if you need them too. For the most part though, my experience here at Buffalo Wild Wings was good and expected. The food was spot on and the service was good an average. Can't say that it was fantastic, but it wasn't epic either. It was just good and a nice place to eat. If you're ever in the area and don't mind the loud ambiance, consider coming to this Buffalo Wild Wings for your next meal during the weekends. Cheer on your favorite team and it'll be a nice experience no matter who wins or loses. At least the food is good though. Come on down, if you're in Meridian, Mississippi or just passing through.
3.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.0 stars for the food, but 4.0 stars for the service. 2.5 stars for the ambiance. Just a little too loud.
