Hands down the WORST service I have ever received at a restaurant. My friend and I chose to eat here last weekend. It was a Sunday night and yes, it was jam packed in there. We were seated fairly quickly, which was surprising. After being seated, we literally didn't see anyone greet us or ask to get drinks for over 20 minutes. This is completely unacceptable and not a good start to the meal. Normally we would've just left to head somewhere else but my friend has a baby and it's more trouble to pack up everything to leave. We didn't get our water until 35 minutes after sitting down. It was just one thing after another as we sat there. We ordered our food, it of course, took forever to come out. When it arrived, it was wrong. I LOVE Applebee's and I really love their Fiesta Lime Chicken so I know what it usually looks like.. and this was not correct. I told the waitress that it was missing the mexi-ranch sauce, lime and pico de gallo. Her response was, "We are just so slammed that the kitchen staff isn't really paying attention to making the food correctly. Right now we are just trying to get it out to people." Well, if that isn't one of the worst answers I have ever heard, I don't know what is. I also informed her that I didn't have any silverware or napkins- retrieving that took about 5 more minutes. As my friend's baby got restless, our water glasses were completely empty and we had been done eating for about 15 minutes we waited to see the waitress again to ask for the check. She was no where to be found! Finally, I had to get up to find someone to help us. It was a horrible experience and I will definitely never come back to this location! The only redeeming things about this experience is that I was with a friend whom I hadn't seen in a long time so having a 2.5 hour experience at Applebee's left us with time to enjoy each other. This was an interesting visit. We came here after my aunts viewing and it was like twelve of us but we did say more people might show up. We were lectured by someone who I'll assume was the manger about them needing to know exactly how many people. We were unsure. We were like that's fine, we don't want to wait for stragglers to show up, they can order when they get here. Needless to say we only had one sever and I know usually with a large party you'll get two. He did a good job but seemed new to serving. Anyhow, the 12 of us sat down and food came out sporadically, it didn't seem to have any kinda flow. We had 3 people who showed up after we placed our order. Average burger with very good service and interesting decorum. Even though they were busy they were attentive and accommodating. When we arrived they told us it would be a 20 minute wait and instead of eating elsewhere we bet that that was a worse case scenario. Sure enough we only waited seven or eight minutes and had good service. read more

Yet another bad experience here. Had enough of them to actually write a review. Went on 1-19-2014. Our first server was okay, but forgot my entree. Walked by me multiple times and did not once notice I did not have a plate in front of me; had to ask where it was. He brought it out almost immediately ... weirdly enough. The Honey Pepper Chicken & Shrimp was good as usual though. The Boneless chicken wings were decent as well. On another note, had 2 Mucho Margaritas ... almost no alcohol in them. Asked the waiter to bring out the second one with a little more alcohol ... it actually had less. A no-brainer that I won't order alcoholic beverages from them any more. Went to Chili's the night before and had one of their Normal ones with more alcohol. Here's the kicker, a friend came by so we asked to change seats to see the game better. Got confirmation for it because we didn't want to just go and sit anywhere like we owned the place. Sat down and the waiter serving the area asked our friend if he wanted something; he got a drink and we didn't see our waiter, Cornell D, for the REST OF THE NIGHT. He waited on every other table in the vicinity, but we sat there for two hours without getting a 'how's it going' or 'can I help you with something'. Pretty bad, considering I go out of my way to drink and I leave pretty good sized tips (20-30% usually, possibly more if I liked the service). I actually left a bigger tip for the drinks I had at my previous table/waiter that night than one of his tables left him for an actual 2 person meal. Great job Applebees of Lithonia, GA. Well where do I start? It was game night 01/14/17..they were packed then normal. I come to this Apple Bee's often. I ordered the all day brunch burger WELL DONE. After eating my stomach started cramping really bad. I'm thinking maybe because I was full....when I got home my stomach started hurting worse....needless to say because of the bad burger...I won't be eating beef again...that beef had to be tainted in some way because beef has never done that to me. read more

My experience here has probably been one of the worst. I received a coupon via email (loyal customer) for $5 off $25 or more. The waitress was made aware when she took our drink order. The first incident happened when I specifically asked to not include bacon with my entree as I do not eat pork due to my religion. Unfortunately, it's what they served me. It wasn't until I sent it back that their demeanor changed. They offered no apology, but I let that go. When the waitress brought our receipt, I showed her the coupon. She returned with the manager, who proceeded to tell me that the code didn't work so they couldn't use it. After asking why when I was sent a legitimate coupon with the expectations of using it, he began to have an attitude towards me and stopped looking at me while talking to me. He started to walk away without further discussion until I was forced to stop him. I asked for his name, which he responded with Joe. He hesitated when I asked for his last name, so I asked him to write it on the receipt. When I asked for a phone number to contact to complain about the service, he pointed on the receipt and walked away. As you can see from the photo, the information was cut off at the bottom, so I called him back to get me the full information. He snatched the receipt from the table without responding to me, and brought back a reprinted receipt. My first issue is, a customer has nothing to do with whether the code works or not. My second was, he was not accommodating by apologizing for not being able to use it nor did he apologize for acting so condescending towards me, instead he was very defensive. My third, as a customer, if we receive an email thanking me for being a loyal customer, and I'm given $5 to use, I should be able to use it without prejudice given I've complied with half of the conditions in order to utilize the coupon. It's $5. Big deal. But it's the principle. Surely a manager can say, "I'm so very sorry the coupon is not working properly, so I went ahead and took care of that for you. Would you like to-go cups? Let me close y'all out." Given the manager's demeanor, I felt compelled to write a review because I'm in customer service, and we know reviews like this should get noticed to help improve your service. The managers at lower-tiered establishments treat their customers better than yours do. Perhaps you'd have better reviews if your managers were trained appropriately. read more

Myself and 6 others were very disappointed in the service we received. We ordered some drinks that took 20 minutes to come out. We ordered our food and waited almost 30 minutes for that appetizer to come out. Those appetizers had wrong sauces and wrong amount. Then we wait another 15 minutes for our food. Some of us didn't even get the food they ordered until after the manager came to the table like he had an attitude. Server almost spills liquor on my friend because it was overflowing. Comes back with the same drink and it looks like he poured half the liquor out. The server disappeared half the time, she didn't ask for refills or checked on us. I ordered food from this location on their website around 7:08pm 12/24/2019 delivery time was given via email of 7:51pm as they are 6 miles from me. After the time had passed for delivery I called the location asking about my order, location rep was unaware of who delivers from their own website and claimed they didnot see my name (fiance Brian G) on any delivery. While on about a 15 minute hold at this point I decided to do a little research and found out doordash makes their deliveries, so while on hold on my work phone I contact doordash to see if I could find out any more information on who is delivering , doordash was less than helpful informing me that because I ordered on the applebees website and not doordash website/app I would need to contact applebee's for further assistance at this point in time I am still on hold with applebees almost 30 min. Finally the rep came back to the phone from applebees and I informed her of who delivers and how doordash told me to reach to them, I asked for a manager. ANOTHER 15 min hold and we finally hung up. Doordash rep called and we refused the order and here we are stuck with a 43$ charge and no food and a 42 min wait on hold with applebees. after calling their corporate office on 12/27 and again on 1/8 and again today still no help as Im being told they should call within 4 days, no call from this location just being told they will update my complaint and send to the same person shawn that already is not contacting me regarding this matter. Service is consistently bad. This location used to be fun and a great staff, but now food is bland and menu is constantly changing. The staff doesn't seem to care or take pride in quality and its like they don't want to be at work. Also, if you voice your concerns to management they seem uninterested as well. Ruined my birthday! Went there with a party of 15. Took over an hour for wait time (not that big of an issue it was [last] night). Sat down, server was nice despite multiple errors. Ordered food and drinks simultaneously to help avoid longer wait, took 10-20 minutes to get non-alcoholic drinks. One of my friends ordered an alcoholic beverage and never received it after being promised on multiple occasions that it was going to get picked up from bar. A delay on food prompted them to bring out chips and salsa "on the house." They brought out skimpy trays that didn't even go to the whole table. Then some people ordered appetizers along with their meals including myself, received 2/3 appetizers from samplers, received half made salads and no dressing, cheese sticks with no marinara sauce. When asked, again being promised to bring missing items and missing items were never received. The manager Joe Caldwell made an appearance to our table and in the midst of trying to explain our concerns, we were cut off, dismissed and did not see him until the food started coming out about. Once good started coming out more issues with meals, meals are missing, again there are missing items with meals, meals not properly cooked, bringing out the wrong meals, attitudes from employees who are helping because they're helping with no direction from the manager, just complete chaos and disaster. At this point we are returning meals for issues and people are frustrated and disappointed with the service! We pretty much wasted 3 hours to barely eat anything. So to correct it, Joe decided he would discount all of our appetizers which was a no deal because we did not eat majority of the food given to us. So after speaking with the server (who still remained calm through this all) had our food removed from our bills and pretty much we wound up paying for drinks and a few meals. Pretty sure they lost over $200 worth of revenue from us just in this one trip. We never saw the manager again. And after it all, we overheard the servers discussing the situation and even the employees complained and said that their manager has "no sense of customer service, hospitality and the only reason he has that job is because of paperwork... because no one else wanted to take the job." That is a bad note and to hear employees say that out loud and maybe Mr. Caldwell should not be in this position in this store. read more

4 cheese mac and cheese comes with more chicken honey sauce than cheese. You have to ask for refills. They will ask how would you like for them to cook the kid streak then when it comes out past well done the managet will aggressively approach the table and tell you they don't cook the kids steak medium well. Had to constantly look for the server. Being out with my kid i found it highly inappropriate for the group of men to be cursing loudly and the manger just stands by and watch with a group of employees as they loudly discuss their actions over the past weekend. Ok I've given this location chance after chance and yet again I am dissapoiinted. Every time I come here the service is slow. I don't mind that Applebeas isn't known for great food but bad customer service is another thing. I've sat at the bar and had to yell and flag down the bar tender for another drink or my check. And just last evening at a table of 4, our waitress couldn't seem to grasp the fact that we were all starring at her with empty glasses waiting for either the check or more drinks. This Applebees is a mess ! The restaurant was not very clean , it was hot and muggy as if the ventilation was not working properly , the service was slow . The floor needed to be vacuumed and there was a leak coming from the ceiling . 3 co-workers and l went for evening meal. Waitress was nice but, brand new and basically clue-less. We ordered drinks and apps. Took 25-30mins to get 3 beers and 1 mixed drink (15 patrons at most in restaurant). Ordered our meals. I ordered a simple burger and onion rings. Only thing that matched the menu was bun, meat and cheese. No lettuce, pickles, onions or other condiments as described in menu. All my coworkers finished their meals before I got my veggies. After giving up on franchise restaurants a while ago-I ventured out to Applebee's in Conyers with my brother...had great drinks and great food. 4 days later, I was craving the wings I had, so I came to this location-my experience was the exact opposite. Ordered the same exact thing, except for my food to go. Drinks at the bar were great while I waited. Got home-my wings were a totally different flavor (thankfully-I don't have food allergies) than what I ordered. Called them to let them know and "Debbie" (the person who answered the phone) totally brushed me off. So Applebee's are hit or miss with me. This was my first time visiting this location for the $1 Long Islands and dinner with a girlfriend. Upon entering the establishment, it was almost empty, about 10 customers (if that). Completely fine with me! We're standing there with all these waiters walking right by us, not greeting us or seating us.. Finally a woman whom I'm assuming was the hostess came up to us and said "just two?". No greeting. No welcome. After we responded yes, she walked away. So when she finally came back to us, I asked her would we finally be getting seated to which she responded with a nasty attitude that she'd told us to hold on. I didn't see why it took us 15 Minutes to get seated in a restaurant where there was literally no one there! I kept trying to find a name tag or something so that I could call and speak with a manager but she kept it hidden. Danielle- who was our waitress and a much nicer and kinder girl than the hostess was the best part of my experience at this location. She knew the menu, made sure to check in often and was very proactive. I ordered steak medium and it came out well done. I didn't even send it back because I was starving. My family and I(a group of 8) happened upon this location after going to church Saturday for Easter. After speaking with the hostess, we were told the wait would be 15-20 minutes. They weren't busy or crowded, so we just KNEW it was going to take 15-20 minutes without a problem. The hostess told us after waiting 30 minutes that they didn't have a table to accommodate us, and asked if it would be okay to seat us at two different tables. We were hungry by this time and quickly agreed that it would be okay. 45 minutes roll around. By this time, my step grandma was at the hostess' ear about the wait. We were finally seated and helped by Safari. I only know her name because I asked. She was an adequate waitress, and came to check up on us often enough. We ordered and in about 10 minutes we received our appetizers and kids' entrees. After we received our appetizers, a waitress comes by with someone else's order and asks if it's ours. We're all looking at her like "You didn't read the ticket?" She quickly goes back to the kitchen and I suppose whoever the food belonged to got it. We waited. And waited. And waited. I was sitting next to the wait station and heard two waitresses complaining about how the kitchen was backed up but shouldn't be because there were 6 cooks and it wasn't even busy. After about 45 minutes of us not receiving our entrees, my Dad got upset enough to ask to speak to the manager. Another waitress came out and explained that the manager was in back, and our food was just being prepared. My Dad insisted that we be charged for the appetizers and kids' entrees so we could go to another restaurant. The waitress got my Dad to calm down enough so we could wait for our food, which would be right out. In about 5 minutes, two of us got our entrees. The others came out in groups of two about 5 minute increments apart. Now, on to the food. o_O I ordered the 2 for $22(They have two choices, 2 for $20 or 2 for $24. My sister ordered The Sizzlin' Nawlins' Skillet from the $24 menu and I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp from the $20 menu.). As our appetizer, we shared the Queso Blanco. The cheese dip was nothing to write home about. My sister enjoyed her skillet and didn't have anything negative to say about it. My entree was alright. The potatoes that accompany the chicken weren't seasoned at all. I ate it because I was hungry. Plain and simple. I don't know if any of the other adults liked their food because we were sitting at two different booths. My kids ate their cheeseburgers and chicken tenders. I mean, you can't mess THAT up. The waitress who came out and spoke to my Dad on behalf of the manager comped him on several items(he paid for the whole meal). That was nice. Terrible don't waist your Time or money food was the worst I ordered the bourbon street chicken. The potatoes where undercooked chicken was disgusting. On top of a bad meal the manager tried avoiding me getting the waitress to do his job until I requested him. When he approached my table he was rude and actually made everything worse by trying to justify the disgusting meal they served me. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone even if the food was free. Don't think I'll be eating at anymore Applebee's. The waitress was great even though the meal and manager where the worst I've experienced. I will make sure any and everyone I know doesn't waist their hard earned money or time at Applebee's. This restaurant is truly unacceptable. Tonight we are going to homecoming and we told the waiter that we are on a crunch, in total we were supposed to leave at 8:30 pm but we left at 10:27. I highly advise you not to go to this restaurant. read more
