Our visit to this Applebee's was a five stars for the awesome food and the 2nd to none service by Kendall was a compliment to our meal. However, the only fly in the ointment were the two extremely intoxicated and potty mouth men at the bar. They both dropped the "F" bomb no less than 30 times (between 6:00-6:30 PM. Let me begin with this, I would go here 2 times a week to get some quick good food and a few beers after work. I moved about 6 months ago and went back to NC to get some things. I figured hey, let's go grab a bite and a beer. Why? Because this place has always been wonderful. The food, the staff, the looks. This time was very different. We step into the restaurant and there is not an employee to be seen. There are about 4 tables of people that have nothing but drinks on the table and no food. We sat at the bar and waited. As we sat and waited I noticed that the place was not very clean now and the bar seemed to be a bit of a cluster. I watched as the other people that sat in there got no service or food after the drinks they already had. We had 2 of what I think were employees come out to the bar and grab some items and walk to the back. All they did was stare at us. Not a word was said. We sat for 10 minutes waiting at the bar. We never got a hi, another look, or anything. I believe that I could have probably gotten my own stuff. I do not like to give low ratings for places, especially when they have always been great. This time though, they deserve this. I do not know what happened to the once great staff that was there but Applebees, you need to do better here. It would seem that the staff is not taken care of or there is no existence of management in the location. Once the bypass begins going through, I hope you all get it right. I do not think that I will be back to visit this one again after that last. I know that I cant change anything alone, but I can let others know that the experience has changed at this location and it just is not good anymore. We came in and had to wait a bit to be seated, as it seemed like only one person was working. After a few minutes of standing there, he did come up front and gave us menus while we waited, which actually helped since we could decide what we wanted ahead of time. Once we were seated, it took a while for someone to take our drink order especially considering the restaurant was mostly empty (only about five tables occupied). When we finally got our drinks, the strawberry lemonade wasn't great it tasted like strawberry syrup mixed with water. I asked for lemons to help balance it out & my hubby requested another one with less syrup, which ended up being fine. Took a while for our waitress to come get our food order so when we did get our appetizers our main course was already coming out and the front desk guy was embarrassed cause we had no time . Didn't get a chance to take a pic of our meals cause that's how fast it all came out together . The food, however, was good no complaints there. Haven't been here in two years. Just not in town enough to eat here. After a meeting we stopped in for a snack. No one greeted us right away. Looks like they are understaffed. A young man sat us after we all arrived but to a table that the seats had food on them. I had to ask him to come over and clean it. Then the silverware we received served as a bunch of fork or knives and napkins on a tray were dirty. When our server arrived she took care of it. Blakely was very sweet and polite. Paid attention to our needs and always with a smile. I had boneless wings and they were very good. My Bay breeze was pretty good. Will have to remember to order it again. The service was ok, it seemed like a lot of the employees weren't happy with how busy it was but overall good people! The vibe inside was kinda crazy, it was pretty slammed but they had tvs on to help with the wait. The tables are close so it can be loud but nothing too bad. The food was ok. The steak was over cooked but she said it was juicy and good, the broccoli and mashed taters were good too! The combo platter had a little for every palette. The burger was good too, what you would expect from Applebees, he lovedd the bacon . I've been going to this apple bees for a couples years now and every time we go it gets worse, you spend hours waiting on a server or your food. By the time a server does come around they have nasty attitudes and by the time your food comes out it's ice cold. I've had multiple bad experiences here, I will never eat at this location again. The family and I haven't been to this Applebees in probably 10 years or so after so many sub par experiences, but my kiddo wanted to give it a try so we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm. It wasn't busy so we were seated immediately by a friendly host and our waitress came right out to get our drink orders. I cannot rave enough about our waitress because she was so attentive and patient with our 5 year old son who loves to talk to everyone, she really made our whole experience even better. I grabbed a Bahama Mama (which used to be my go-to drink in my 20s) and it still tasted the same, great taste and not super strong for a weakling like me lol. I grabbed the quesadilla burger and fries and they were perfection! The fries were seasoned well and hot. The burger was messy and cooked perfectly, just like all great burgers are! My son raved about the kids meal pizza and said he wanted to come back the next day to get another one . My husband also enjoyed his Whiskey Bacon Burger and fries. The only negative about the whole experience was the restaurant is still in rough shape, especially the dirty looking ceiling tiles. One day maybe Applebees will do some renovations!! read more

Sarah was our waitress and I dont understand how someone could mess up an order so bad that you never want to eat there again. I wanted the 8oz sirloin medium well and she brought me a 8oz sirloin more than well done with shrimp and parmesan and it tasted awful and i understand I could of just sent it back but it was hard enough to just get her at our table. She never asked us if we needed our drinks refilled she came to us maybe once towards the end of our meal. she apologized when we were paying that the coffee pot in the back was broken and she was trying to fix it. honestly Applebees doesn't pay you to fix the coffee pot but they do pay you to refill my drink and bring me my correct order. I paid for avocado to be added and 2.5 thin slices of avocado were on top that didn't cover even half the burger. They also forgot to add sautéed onions that came on the burger so I had to ask for a side. The brisket quesadilla was a huge letdown and was more tortilla then brisket and cheese. The fries have no seasoning. All the food ordered looks and tastes completely different than how it was made to look in the picture so it was just very disappointing. Came here for the all you can eat riblets, shrimp or chicken tenders. Each plate is served with fries. My wife and I had both ordered this, but when the first plates came out it was horrible. My shrimp seemed like they just got cooked but the fries were cold and hard like they been sitting in the heater all day. My wife has the riblets first and here fries were the same way and her riblets were even cold. Our waiter was very understanding and professional, he quickly got us new orders. From there on the food wasn't to bad, but it wasn't for the waiter making sure we had grab food each time I think it would be a different experience. The chicken tenders were the highlight which my wife and I liked the best. Oh yeah, can't forget the samplers. The beer cheese and pretzel was worth every cent. By far the worst Applebee's I have ever been to... We understand that covid has made things difficult but come on. Cold fries, cold cheese for our appetizer. We heard another table complaining about the same thing. How's that an issue for the cook or the server? Just be sure the food is warm/hot before going out. My burger and fries were fine but my husbands fries were ice cold. Daughters food was cold and just nasty. Cheese tasted like it was old or something. She didn't want to eat it. The food took forever as well. Which is insane bc the floor is at half capacity. Server also had super LONG nails which just didn't seem sanitary. I touched them twice while she handed me items. Only problem was when the check came and the server handed us a check that was more than the table kiosk stated. I tried to see a detailed view of the kiosk check but didn't know how to use it. Naturally, I paid lesser of the two checks. Then the manager comes over. Needless to say we didn't pay full price and as it turned out it was because our kiosk was on another table and their kiosk was on our table. I will start off by saying it's hot in here where we are sitting and it's loud to the point I actually want to get up and leave due to loud children screaming. Next our waitress got our drinks and we haven't seen this individual since. It's not that busy in here to start with. I contribute this to talking, texting on phone and not being attentive to customers. It's such a shame that it seems there's no motivation in here to move. I really wanted this to be a good experience since I hesitated because of all the negative reviews. Maybe it was just a bad day. Not so much. There were 4 of us in the party. Three of us sat down and were told our waiter would be right with us. Our 4th showed up before the waiter. The waiter took our drink order and appetizer order. Then the wait began. Our app came out rather quickly. It was spinach artichoke dip. Hot, but bland with tortilla chips which were of different sizes, shapes and even colors. (All regular corn tortilla chips, mind you, just cooked at different times and for different lengths of time). 15 minutes later, still no waiter. Finally, he strolled by with a tray full of drinks and asked if we were ready to order, with drinks on the tray, we said sure and told him the order. There were 4 of us and we got the three appetizers meal, burger, salmon and I ordered my favorite 1/2 rack of baby back ribs. He took the order PLUS 2 sides each in his head. Not a pen/paper in sight. And guess what happened??? Yep....got one completely wrong. Wouldn't have been so bad, but it was MINE. Even the guy who brought the order out knew it was wrong. I was served a full rack of ribs and the wrong sides. I thought it would be fixed on the bill, but it wasnt. Food was mediocre. Waiter did bring tons of sweet tea to the table, but alas, I will not return. Where do I start? Upon entering the hostess was not very helpful or paying attention. I had to repeat myself three times to let her know our seating needs (4 plus high chair). Next we were seated & the waitress took a while to get our drink order (think 10 more minutes) even though the place was maybe 20% full/busy. Then our drinks took another 10 minutes then our appetizers arrived separately (fine as they were ordered at different times) but the portions were small for the price (cheese sticks & brisket quesadillas) and no appetizer plates ever appeared after two separate waitresses stated they would be provided. Next our meals were placed near our 17 mo child after being told the plates were hot. Also, the food was bland & not cooked to order. We ordered sirloins (medium & medium rare) but they were both well done. Side of shrimp skewer came out 10-15 minutes after steak meal. Nothing to rave about. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This location has continued to go downhill. The customer service and food is absolute crap. Chicken has been undercooked to the pink of a pink and RAW center, on multiple occasions. Waitresses are sitting at the bar having casual conversations with one another instead of cleaning and making the place look decent, when they have no customers to wait on. I don't usually give reviews, much less bad ones, but my experience at this Applebees was terrible. I am in town visiting and went here yesterday. I ordered the Chicken Wonton Stir Fry. The dish came with rice, veggies, and chicken. No oyster sauce, wontons, or chives. Twice the waitress went to the back to get what was missing from my meal. You might say, that was a fluke. But I went back with a group of friends today. The waitress brought out my sampler with sloppy boneless chicken wings and a bowl of soup that looked like they took it off of someone else's table and put it on mine. We were in Jacksonville today and decided we would like to eat at Applebee's . Always liked the one we had it Morehead City but it closed so we were kind of looking forward to it . We stopped around 3:00 or so and it did not look like they were busy so we thought it would be a great time. Upon entering we were informed they were in the middle of a shift change and we would have to wait 15 minutes or longer as they had no servers to wait on us available. We left as there are plenty of restaurants in Jacksonville that were more than happy to see us come in and seat us and give us good service.
