I went to Applebee's a couple nights ago. I had read where they had very good fish and chips. I was not disappointed. They had a very nice batter and cooked just right. My family and I went to lunch at Applebees for the last time a couple days ago. The food was disgusting and the dishes we ate off of were dirty. There was a piece of paper in my glass. I ate a bowl of French onion soup. When I got to the bottom of the bowl, there was old broccoli and cheese soup stuck to the bottom. The wings were dry and nasty. It was just a horrible experience and waste of money. Our server was nice though. This restaurant has progressively gotten worse over the years. My visit the other day will be my last. read more

Well, how can I start this me and my two friends decide to stop in for a late lunch early dinner so it was around 3 o'clock when we got there we were told that there would be a half hour wait so we decided to go to the bar and have a couple of cocktails and wait for our table. Well that took about 15 minutes Before the bartender showed up, I should've of taken it as a sign that things weren't gonna get any better and they didn't we ordered our food friends ordered the same dish which was the broccoli chicken Alfredo when their meals came to the table the Alfredo sauce was like water it did sit well because I know Alfredo sauce is not very watery. I ordered the. I ordered the quesadilla burger, which was half haggardly prepared and looked nothing like the photograph. The one Alfredo was sent back and was told by the manager that is the way it served with a water down Alfredo sauce neeless to say it was not eaten and was taken off the the bill. The one bright spot of this whole meal was our server which bent over backwards to do the best he could under the circumstances so if you ever decide to have this dish, have them bring out a sample of the Alfredo sauce. lol read more

i stopped going to the Slidell Applebee's a week ago because of worse than awful service, so I decided to try the Hammond location today.i was pleasantly surprised because we were seated very quickly, the very polite server took out orders and we received out meals pretty quickly. I had previous lesser experiences but today they hit at least a Triple. Id give them five stars but there were spinach leaves in my Caesar salad. not the servers fault, but I really hate spinach! Disappointing in the extreme! Run from the Hammond, La location. The last three car-side orders placed were overcharged with an improperly prepared meal. I usually order from the 2 for $25 menu to order for the family. But I have twice received burnt steaks and was charged for the "larger" steaks after I refused that offer. I received the wrong appetizer. I received the wrong veggies. It's understandable that they are going to occasionally going to make mistakes, but three times in a row says that they aren't even trying. I called Applebee's after the first two "mistakes". They apologized and were supposed to give a credit to "replace" my meals. All I had to do was give my name and ask for the credit on the next order. I never received one 75.00 meal, much less two. went in to our local Applebee's on 2/8/23 with my ex boyfriend for the all you can eat shrimp and wings etc dinner. We walked in and no one came to seat us so we sat at the first booth, a lady came Up to the front and my ex asked if it was ok if we sat ourselves and she acted like we were not there and she finally said it was ok, so our waitress came and took our drink orders, came with drinks and took our food order, well we sat there and noticed people coming in and get there food right away, 45 minutes sitting there and no waitress, no food, nothing, apparently we were invisible! Don't go here! While on a trip, we stopped here for lunch and regretted it for many reasons. The service was extremely slow even though there were only a few other tables occupied. The server barely spoke to us. When we found a very long black hair inside our salsa the server took the plate with no comment and the manager never came over at all and we were still billed for it! When the fajitas came it then took several more minutes before she came back with the shells and toppings. The entire bathroom floor was coated in something very slippery not sure if it was greasy water or way too much wax. Manager came out like a bully the guy wearing the Kamara saints jersey basically telling hostess to seat us and he would seat others very rude to coworkers with his tone. Service is horrible at this Applebee's it took 15 minutes for drinks, 45 minutes for appetizer and another 30 minutes for meal. The back if the restaurant has a horrible smell, like dirty feet. Half of the bathroom stalls were out of order. All of the waiting staff would rather talk behind the bar rather than serving the guests. Getting drinks refills were like an act of congress nearly impossible. The food was not up to par with other Applebee's and while we were eating people around decided to walkout because it took so long just for drinks. I would honestly hate to see this place when it's busy because as slow as it was empty it would be near impossible to get drinks. I took my girlfriend to eat here last night for her birthday and my son came along with us. The first thing I noticed was that the place was overly hot, like the air conditioning wasn't working as it should. When my salsa verde with shredded brisket appetizer arrived, it was completely meatless. What kind of chef forgets to put meat on a meat based appetizer? So when I notified my waitress of the missing meat, she went to the kitchen and came back with two plastic (small) bowls of greenish mush. It was pretty nasty. I have to say however that our waitress was nice, but overly timid (maybe because this place has had issues before with poor food quality?). Since it was my gf's birthday, I saw a sign on the table that said get a free 99 cent desert (99 cents now) for your birthday. When my gf asked about it, the manager said she couldn't have it because she wasn't signed up on-line for it. My bill including taxes for us three to eat was about 112.00!!! And the manager wouldn't give her a 99 cent desert! It would have probably tasted like crap anyway. This place is the pits! I went with my 2 grandchildren. We ordered the artichoke/spinach appetizer. Service was terribly slow! My granddaughter ordered the steak salad, The rest o us had hamburgers. When the steak/salad arrived, the meat was so tough we could not cut it with the knife. It had a foul taste and was not acceptable. The hamburgers were over-cooked to the point of no taste, and the buns were stale. I told the waitress about the steak, and she asked if the child wanted anything in its place. My granddaughter askde for a bowl of macaroni/cheese. Again a long wait for it to arrive. We finally finished our meal an hour and 45 minutes later.
