Went there yesterday for lunch at 12:30p. One table had customers. There was no staff in sight. Eventually a busboy came out to put napkins on tables and he brought us to a table. We waited 15 mins and no waitress or staff could be found. I got up and asked the busboy for a waitress. Waited but no one came. We left. I had dinner with my wife and was very disappointed. The Buffalo wings had a bunch of skin on them, the blue cheese dressing was homemade and taste like bad mayonnaise. I ordered fish and chips. To whom it may concern, Yesterday we placed and order and of course there was a missing meal. We contacted the manager Ronda which really did not care about the situation, Suggesting we have door dash come back for. Which did not happen. Meanwhile the person who meal was left behind is 9 mos pregnant and extremely upset. Suppose to get a credit for her meal, but that is not enough with the waiting time meals came cold and no one at restaurant really cared. I did speak to Manager Ronda that i was going to send a complaint to headquarters. The people in restaurant should be trained better. Came here to try to get a quick meal after a day of traveling and thought the service would be fast because the restaurants nearby were busy and we were hungry. Went here yesterday with 8 other women. We sat at different tables so there was 3 at one table, four at another and two at another. The service sucked. The server took the orders by table. Good way to do it. We all waited a while for our drinks. And then we waited for our food. Food was brought to two tables, had to ask another server for the food for the third. Had to ask for salad dressing, I like my salad with the meal so meal was cold by the time I got the dressing. One table didn't get utensils. PROS: They have the friendliest wait staff you'll meet. They're clean, there's a lot to choose from on the menu, the prices are good, and there are tablets by every table to play games on and to check your meal out. The servers are knowledgeable about the food, and they have an open bar with many tvs for the game. They even hire the mentally handicapped for bus boy positions, that way they can gain some work experience. I think that's very nice of them. CONS: Applebees is very slow at bringing out your food. Also, when they're busy, they don't turn over tables fast enough which causes the waiting time for people coming in to increase. Another thing that I don't like is that they don't check up on you regularly. My glass was starting to collect dust before my server asked if I wanted another one. OVERALL: This is a great Applebees to go to. Many of their pros are the same as with any Applebees, and if your willing to overlook a few of their cons, I think you'll enjoy it. read more

The food tastes ok as it is in other Applebee locations; however, I need to rate one star because of their services. When we visited on 8/14/19, the restaurant wasn't crowded at all, but we had to wait for 10 min just to be seated. Then, a waiter came and he seemed to be ok at first, but after he took the first order, he never came back to our seat. So I had to call other waiter/waitress for help order additional food, utensils and napkins... (the first server didn't even bring utensils and napkins...). At the end of the meal, I asked a check to other waiter because our waiter never showed up, then the other waiter went to call our waiter. Shortly after, our waiter came with eating something in his mouth... He brought a check but it was wrong... so I had to call him again to get it correct. Our order was simple enough, but it took so much time and effort to get the meal done. I live this area over 20 years and have been this restaurant since it opened. There used to be better waiter/waitress, but I'm not sure what's happening recently... The waiter didn't seem to be motivated at all, and the receptionist was terribly slow and unfriendly greeting new customers... There is something wrong with this restaurant. Let me start with this- this is an applebees; expectations are NOT high. I expect prices to be cheap and food to be hastily made, even microwaved is acceptable. That's fair to expect from an Applebees, right? This review is based on 5 occasions of going back (you want to give them a chance right?) and I've had the same experience EVERY TIME. With that said, the things you expect to be actually acceptable are all bad. If you ask for waters to start off, expect not to get it until you ask them at least two more times as they pass by. Maybe they're going to the mountains to get the water, but aside from that, this basic task is always a complete fail. The food will be bad. Don't expect anything fantastic. But the 1 star is not for the food. It's for the service. Lol no one will go to applebees looking for good food. It's because you want some late night half price appetizers for cheap. If you want the check, just assume that they are processing fresh wood into paper and hand printing your bill onto it, because it takes way too long. Don't expect the check the first time you ask for it. Ask for it maybe 2 or 3 times. Otherwise expect to sit there until they close. This is basic stuff, Hackensack Applebees. Was recently taken to this Applebee's in Hackensack-yack-yack [you outta know by now], there was some reluctance on my part as an old co-worker who worked the line in his teens called it Crapplebee's. The name has stuck in my head for years. I ordered from the bottomless lunch menu. $7 for unlimited french onion soup and spinach salad--- what a deal! The food was unexpectedly fresh and tasty. But what sealed it for me was the service. We had an amazing waitress named Lisa Wadel who was a joy. She seems to love her job and it shows. We had to use the iPad at the table to order our appetizers and they were ordered before a waitress even got to our table- which we had to use the iPad to send her a notification to call her over. The food was good though. Not any different than your typical applebees. The ribs were cooked perfectly. A few of the appetizers were missing their dipped sauces and the spinach dip definitely got stuck with the bottom of the bag chip crumbs. i can't say we'll be back very often, but I'm sure i'll end up here for half price apps again. read more

Worst experience ever on August 11 2019. We were a small group 2 adults and a 3 year old child. A large group of 40 people came in after us. So that delayed us getting seated. We ordered quick simple meals from the 2 for 22. Our meal order was messed up which took a half hour to be corrected. Than our bill was messed up twice. First it said $150 than $48 till I had to re correct the server. As the bill should have been $26 and change. I ended up leaving my handbag behind as I had to chase after both a 3 year old who was impatient that the food was so delayed and the server. As far as Applebee's go, this is one of the better ones. Whoever is in the kitchen, does a really good job with the food. I've been here many times, and it's always prepared quickly and correctly. In fact, I'm usually thinking, "wow, this is pretty good for an Applebee's". The servers have always been friendly and attentive when I've been here. It's a very comfy vibe here too for some reason, which is strange because you would think all Applebee's would be the same, but I've found that some tend to be more high-strung than others. read more
