Two friends and I went out to lunch yesterday and had great food and service. They were not busy, but that isn't the reason we had such good service. The waiter was obviously a good one regardless and would have been good had it been busy too. She was very attentive and efficient. Stopped by the Goodyear Applebee's for lunch with family (4 adults, 2 infants), and it was a letdown from start to finish. The hostess ignored my request for two slings for the babies and seated us in a corner booth, saying we could "fit them in." Our server never introduced herself and brushed off a simple question about beers on tap with, "I'm not sure--pretty much anything we carry is on tap." And the ambiance was kind of dead for a football Sunday. Appetizer wings looked cooked in dirty oil. I ordered the sirloin with shrimp parmesan, mashed potatoes, and green beans (they were out of broccoli--on a Sunday). Steak was supposed to be medium but came out blue rare, swimming in butter. The server vanished, so we had to ask the bartender for help. Manager brought it back--still undercooked--and joked about it. They comped the meal, but the service and food quality were awful. We were the first ones here right at 11:am on Sunday morning. We sat down placed our order at 11:10. Other people walked in, sat down ordered and right away got their food. It is 11:50 and we are still waiting for our food and we just got a burger and chicken sandwich. The waiter came and said he will take care of our order because he doesn't know why the kitchen is taking so long to make our food. Sierra's service was terrible. Started by waiting 10mins to get greeted, not the end of the world but annoying especially when it is CLEARLY not busy..at all. From there, she was inattentive. Multiple times she walked past us without checking on us, we had to stop her for almost everything we needed. Once we finished eating I had to stop her to ask for dessert, in which she took the order and left the dirty plates from dinner. I came here for brunch with my family yesterday, and honestly... I wish we hadn't. The entire experience was terrible from start to finish. Our server, Rose, was extremely unwelcoming. She never checked on us, didn't bother to follow simple food requests, and acted like we were interrupting her day just by being there. Our appetizers arrived cold, and the rest of the food was just low quality and disappointing. Nothing tasted fresh, nothing came out right, and for the price we paid, it was absolutely not worth it. I genuinely should've gone to McDonald's -- it would've been faster, cheaper, and way better than what we got here. Super disappointed and won't be bringing my family back to this location again. Hopefully management steps it up, because this was unacceptable. read more

The food here is pretty good and they have some good specials but the hostess never ever smiles. As the face of your restaurant, you think you would put somebody upfront who has a great personality and happy to see you. This is why they only got three stars. read more

My daughter and I visited this whole location on Friday January @ 1pm after school. We were excited to visit this location because of the reviews on Google and the special they brought back for a limited time only. Parking is convenient and the plaza next to other businesses and we were greeted right away by the hostess and seated. Our waitress came to the table. She was very attentive and kind. We ordered two $14.99 special's all you can eat which we both started off with/ bbq boneless wings. Once our order is came, we were shocked on how large the boneless wings are, and was very pleased with the amount of sauce on the wings because previously at other locations, the barbecue sauce or the sauce. It was always lacking, but not this time.. The amount of wings sides and fries were delicious and we were able to order a second set and was filling. The waitress was kind enough to bring us a sample of the lemon butter Parmesan wings to try in addition to our barbecue wings. We would like to visit this location again for the special and hope the success and the size of the portions stays the same consistently. read more

I will never go here again. The food was not good at all. The appetizer artichoke dip was cold and the chips were stale and hard. I got the lime chicken with rice. The chicken was okay but the rice was dry and cold. The only good thing was my husband's fries. The place was filthy dirty carpet, dirty booth seats, and nasty bar area. This was our first time here and I guess there was a reason for that. When we walked in there was a ton of trash on the floor behind the hostess podium under the shelving unit - like they sweep around the shelving unit and just avoid under it. There was trash on the ground in the dining room that several waitresses passed many times and didn't even try to pick it up. It looked like the staff was short handed - so I don't fault them for being a little slow. The food was okay. We tried the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich and the whiskey bacon burger. Server too busy for us to try dessert. Went to Freddy's for ice cream. Not coming back unless zombie apocalypse & they're the only place to hide. My family and I went to Applebee's for lunch today, and while my kids enjoyed their meals, my husband and I had a very disappointing experience. The kids' food came out first -- my daughter had the pizza with applesauce and my son had the chicken corn dog with yogurt and strawberries -- and they were happy with their meals. However, our meals didn't come out until about 15 minutes later, which is already tough when you're dining with little kids. I ordered the Shrimp Parmesan Sirloin medium but it came out completely overcooked and hard, with no pink inside at all. The vegetables were also a major issue: the green beans had no color and tasted overcooked, with an unpleasant odor, as if they had been reheated from the day before. It was inedible, and I sent the meal back. While the server kindly deducted it from the bill, I did not ask for a replacement since waiting another 15 minutes with two small children was not realistic. What made the situation worse was that the manager never came by to check on us or acknowledge the issue. For a meal that was both overcooked and questionable in freshness, I expected at least an apology. Overall, the kids had a decent experience, but my husband and I left disappointed. This location needs to pay more attention to food quality and customer care. read more

We gave Applebee's one more chance. The place was freezing. We switched tables so only one side was freezing. Food came before salads. Chicken small and dry. Burger with cheese sauce was not even close to advertisement. All around crappy. Off our list of places to eat. read more

Normally love going to Applebee's, very friendly environment, service is always good, welcoming smiles. My table was very sticky, however. They did agree to wipe it off, so I can't fully complain. The shark bowl drink that was ordered was missing my gummy sharks, don't care if that makes me sound childish, they were in the picture and should have let me know they were out of them before ordering to make sure I still wanted the beverage, same goes for other drinks and food items. The cocktail also was not sent out with a cocktail straw, that had to be asked for. On top of that, the whiskey bacon burger I ordered was supposed to be 'pink' and have no tomato. It was well done and had tomato. What if I was allergic? God forbid someone comes in, asking for something similar, and they do that. BOOM, lawsuit. Our server was very kind, I know she was sent out with the disastrous stuff, she was very kind and helpful. The bathroom also had mold and rot on the soap dispensers. read more

So disappointing I'd give zero stars.. We walked in and waited almost 10 mins at the bar before the "bartender" get up from a bar table across from us in the bar area where Eli was sitting with her coworkers eating. The host was sitting there as well and did not get up to greet us at the door. In fact every front of house employee that was working were all sitting at the table together. We finally ordered and some of our food came out but our appetizer had not come to us yet so she told them to take it back. We waited few mins then our appetizer came out but the other food that followed was cold and not acceptable at all. We were here for well over an hour for 3 appetizers in total is crazy. I specifically came here for the 3 things that I ordered and was so let down by the food and the server was horrible on top of that! If you could run these cameras back as a business owner I would fire them asap as these are not people that I would never hire to represent my company. Well based on my experiences in another city, I can't beleive I'm giving Aplebee's a 5-Star review, but the folks in Goodyear earned it! Honestly, it's been years since we have dined at Applebee's. our local restaurant in CA. was terrible. The food was so, so and and the service was the worst anywhere! Well, we now live in Arizona and get bored with the same old restaurants, so we decided to give the Applebee's in Goodyear a try. So, we went out on a Friday night, and even though the place was fairly full, we were seated in 5 minutes. The first change I noticed was the modern music which was enjoyable even though I had never heard the tunes. That alone gave the place a more modern and trendy feel. Additionally, the place was clean and well decorated. The employees seemed happy and our sever Catherine M. was there at every opportunity. She and the other employees provided excellent service! I ordered the fried shrimp and my wife ordered a chicken salad. The shrimp weren't large, but very flavorful, more so than most. They taste like gulf shrimp to me which are my favorite. For dessert, we tried your mini cinnamon rolls. They were death by cinnamon, but what a way to go! Last, the manager stopped by our table to see how everything was. I appreciate that. It is a sign that he cares about his restaurant. I told him my story and he told me it made his night. I was happy to hear that. If you love loud latino music you will LOVE this place. A dull roar would be nice.....trying to have a conversation at the table is almost impossible. Food was delicious. Part of my Prime Rib sandwich was on the plate instead of the bun. My fries didn't come out with the sandwich My wife and son had the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp and it was delicious also. The service was great, would have been a 4 star rating if I couldn't have heard myself think or not have to raise my voice to talk to my son across the table. Our first initial visit, we weren't sure if there was a bartender, as there wasn't anyone behind the bar. Service was sparse that day and we were extremely reluctant to go back. Since it was close to home, we decided to try again several weeks later. We went at a different day of the week and different hour of the day. We found it to be way more agreeable and more of an older crowd at the bar which was good for us as we are not a young couple but not grandparents. We also enjoy the touch tunes jukebox so we also have some say in some of the music that gets played along with the other patrons. We have since become regulars and are well known by all the bartenders and even made some regular friends on the barstools. The food is always good and the service has been on point with the wait staff, especially when Kelly is behind the bar. That girl definitely bust her butt. She never stops moving and even makes time to talk to you even while she's pouring or washing dishes, she takes the time to talk and listen to you. The only bad thing, is the bar is small and ppl end up walking out as there aren't enough seats at the bar. If I learned one thing, is always ask if there are drink specials. The store was clean and the staff was over all friendly. But two stars because I am SHOCKED at what happened!!!! I ordered the cajun salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes and a ceasar side salad. My food was decent, my salmon was not HOT but it was doable. My husband ordered fish and chips with Cole slaw and sub the fries for potatoes. The plate arrived and looked GREAT!!!! My husband was pleased.... he offered me a piece and he broke the middle and put his fork to me, the fish was freezing cold. No big deal except I had it in my mouth!!!! So we politely wave down a server to have it sent back. The manager comes by and apologized. The y left the dish of potatoes for my husband. Cool that it was open on X-mas and service was somewhat ok and understandable since it was a holiday. Went there to watch the game and just hang out. Got there and football was on all the tv's. Joe Flacco was playing Colin Kappernick in the superbowl...it's 2023. Weird. Manager refused to change the channel to the actual game being played bc they had a "no channel changing" policy. I attempted to bet him that the Ravens would win 34-31. He still refused even after I told him the game was played over a decade ago. Pretty sure my server didn't understand which is reasonable since she was likely in kindergarten when that game was played.
