Applebees is having $1 margaritas for the month of July! Definitely had to come have some. It's $1 for the regular flavor and $1.50 for watermelon, peach, mango, or strawberry. The server didn't tell us that it was an 50 cents extra for the flavors, we found out when we for the tab. The margaritas were good though! Definitely come during happy hour, it's half off their appetizers and dessert. My favorite is the chicken wonton tacos. It has so much flavor! The wonton shell is good because it doesn't leave you feeling heavy, but it's still crispy. Our server wasn't too attentive, but she was still friendly. read more

Saw a tik tok for some dollar margaritas and we all jumped in the car lol. The restaurant is fairly big and has plenty of seatings and booths. Service was wonderful.. our waitress kept up with our drinks pretty fast! The ad was for $1 margaritas.. we weren't informed that the flavored ones were $1.50 until we saw the bill but it's ok because it was still delicious and for $1.50 who can beat that? We tried a couple flavors but ended up loving the watermelon margarita most. We came a bit later in the evening and was lucky to hit late night happy hour (after 9pm) so most of the appetizers were half off as well! We ordered the onion rings, the mozzarella sticks, a couple of the chicken wonton tacos! We also ordered the new cheeseburger wonton tacos.. that one was ok.. my favorite thing at Applebees are their chicken wonton tacos.. that's basically the only thing I eat there lol My son ordered at meal for two and we kind of all picked at the one entree ... but it's a meal deal that comes with 1 appetizer and 2 entrees for $25 .. not bad! Had a lot of fun drinking with friends and family last night and eating delicious appetizers! read more

Give Emma our sincere kudos for her excellent service and amazing personality! She made our experience even better with her attentiveness and positive attitude. We ordered the Chicken Wonton Tacos as our appetizer, and for our entrees we had the Impossible Cheeseburger and the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, both served with fries. Oh my goodness -- the Impossible Cheeseburger was amazingly delicious, and the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger was just as satisfying! Thank you, Emma, for making our visit such a great one. We will definitely be back! read more

I got food here , and I was served rotten broccoli with my meal,I can't begin to describe the smell of this broccoli , but it was clearly inedible and it was still cooked and served in my order , I unfortunately DoorDashed my order so I'm not sure how this issue can be rectified, but I want customers to be mindful of food quality here , some inspections absolutely may need to be done , for someone to see that the broccoli was bad and still cook and it serve it to a customer is absolutely unacceptable and poor character traits to think that it was okay to do so I have emailed the district manager and I'm thinking about calling the health department read more

Unbelievable the lack of professionalism and service at this location. I will not be back. Spare yourself the trip, go somewhere else.

I had just finished shopping at Best Buy and wanted to get BBQ for lunch. Cattleman's was closed and when I looked across the highway I saw Applebees. I hadn't been there in years so I figured I'd give it a try. The place was not too busy around 245 pm on a Friday, so I easily got a table by the window. The waitress Lena was super nice and helpful. I ordered the double glazed baby back ribs with honey BBQ sauce. It came out about 15 minute later with French fries and coleslaw. The baby back ribs were legendary. Slow cooked and tender with plenty of bbq sauce the meat easily fell off the bone. It was a sticky mess but I was in hog heaven! And just like that Applebees jumped to the top of the list for my favorite bbq places in town. read more

I was out with my friend that I'm staying with this weekend, sort of in the Elk Grove area and I suggested we could do Applebee's. The Applebee's location here is just off the 99 at the Bond Rd exit. Then turn left at East Stockton Blvd and go all the way till you see Applebee's on the right. Plenty of parking. I dunno why this location has such a low star rating, we didn't have any problems at all. Service was just fine and the food came out in a timely manner. Seems like a lot of people on yelp just like to complain, cause the ratings on google are way better. Oh, well, here we are! Looking at the menu for the specials (always lookin for the deal!) I see the 2 for $25 deal. That works out since there's just two of us. For $25, you get choice of appetizers listed, 2 entrees, choice of Chicken on pasta with alfredo sauce, the new Grilled cheese, cheeseburger with fries or the "Oriental" salad .... they still say that? Drinks not included. I got the new Grilled cheese Cheeseburger and my friend got the "oriental" salad ..... not cause she's Asian, but she rather have a healthy salad. Since it was happy hour still, I couldn't resist and get the mozzarella fried cheese sticks along with the included appetizer of onion rings. I know, I'm not the healthy one with all the deep fried stuff! The appetizers arrived .... OK, I couldn't help posing them for the pics! Stacked the onion rings like a Jenga game and did Lincoln Logs with the cheese sticks. Our server was quite amused at that! The food arrives and looks tasty. My friends salad looked like , well, a grilled chicken salad, dressing on the side of course. My Grilled cheese cheeseburger was tasty and moist. Could have used some bacon, but you know, if I do this 2 for $25 deal again, I'll get the chicken pasta dish instead. I've had that, and it's better. Glad we stopped in here and had a better experience than most of the yelpers posting. read more

I haven't been to this Applebee's in years, even though it used to be a regular spot for me. I loved their late-night happy hour back in the day. The quality started slipping, and I drifted away, but I decided to give them another shot tonight. This visit actually turned out better than I expected. The food came out fresh and in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered the Ultimate Trio with Mozzarella Sticks, Boneless Wings, and a Chicken Quesadilla for $14.99. The Mozzarella Sticks and Quesadilla were solid; the Boneless Wings were a bit too hard for my taste. Since we went during late-night hours, the appetizers were half off, so our Wonton Tacos came out to $5.65. For mains, we had the Classic Crispy Chicken Sandwich at $9.99, the Whiskey Bacon Burger at $15.99, and the Ribeye at $25.59. The sandwich and burger were a bit on the dry side, but the ribeye was pretty good. I assumed prices would've skyrocketed like everywhere else, but everything was still pretty manageable. The pricing ended up being the most pleasant surprise of the night. Service was... fine. Not rude, just a server who was clearly at the tail end of her shift and ready to head home. She handled everything efficiently, just without much warmth or interaction. Noticeable, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, with the decent food, fair prices, and a little touch of nostalgia creeping back in, I wouldn't mind stopping by again if I'm in the area. read more

This is probably now one of the least favorite chain restaurants. We wanted to come in to try the new O-M-Cheese burger and it barely had any cheese in the skillet! Just tasted like a cheeseburger, although it was probably the best thing we had from the whole meal. At least they still have decent prices like the 2 for $25 deal (but limited entree options), and $7 kids meals, but otherwise just not enticing enough to come back. The spinach artichoke dip shrunk in portion size and was so watery! The blondie was dry and not as craveable as it used to be. I was surprised the place was actually packed for a Friday night! Good for them but we probably won't be returning. read more

Decided to come in because of "Happy Hour". We were greeted by the most pleasant, respectful guy around. Think his name was Anthony. Really great kid! Came here at around 3pm for a family meal with my hard of hearing parents and no one could communicate over the blasting music. We kindly asked the server if they were able to turn it down a notch or two and she said the manager said no. We asked to speak to the manager so she could stand there and hear for herself how ridiculous it was and I could barely hear her say that "she could lose her job if she turns it down". Such a bs answer. We moved to the bar area and it was surprisingly the slightest bit better. The server seemed irritated that we moved and we didn't see the manager on the floor once after that. Should have just went somewhere else, definitely won't be back read more

Ambiance- 1/5 appeared clean. But it's worth mentioning that...My daughter ordered wings. They garnished her wings with celery and the celery still had dirt on it. Very visible black dirt. They took off 10% for the inconvenience. Our server Leandra said that's all she could do. Even after she saw the black dirt all over the celery. She said it was because my daughter ate some of the wings. Which she had but who goes straight for the celery when hot wings are staring in your face?!?! I shared that to say, it appeared clean but who knows what the kitchen looks or if they're up to code regulations. Service- 4/5 the staff was welcoming and nice. The weather was nice and the hostess set up a table for us to eat on the patio. Food- 2/5 the price points are cheap but nothing really stood out. The cocktails had good prices but were mainly sweet. I couldn't tell if alcohol was in it. read more

It was a decent experience. I haven't been to Applebee's in many years, but it was sort of what I remember......an amazing happy hour, which is the reason I will return. the prices of the drinks and appetizers are great with decent food. They also have a great kids menu and my kids genuinely enjoyed the food. Our server Anthony, I believe his name was was truly great. He was attentive and really kind. The food is just average, but you get what you pay for cause it's also pretty affordable with some great specials. That is I would come again for a good happy hour! read more

They have a $10 burger promotion so wanted to get that. We arrived and hostess said it would be 5 minutes. The hostess disappeared. 10 minutes later a couple came in a different entrance and were seated immediately. We informed young guy at hostess booth we have been waiting, he said oh and took no action. We left and went to Red Robin where we were immediately greeted and seated. Gabby our server was great. SCAM SCAM SCAM. My family of 6 came in excited for All You Can Eat boneless wings, riblets, and shrimp. We asked how the AYCE works and our server, EMMA, stated that we can only do one each not separately. So what we got was 1 plate of 6 boneless wings, 1 plate of 3 small riblets, and 1 plate of 6 small wings. We HAD to share with the big family. Then we ordered the refill. Came in on an even SMALLER plate, less shrimp, less boneless wings, and 1 riblet. WHO IS THAT FEEDING? We waited almost 45 mins to receive our 3 plates, which should have been 6 because it's AYCE PER PERSON. Then another 30 minutes for our refill for food. We seen EMMA walk past our table more than a handful of times checking in on other customers, getting their receipts, their drinks. Not once had she come check up on us, reassure us about the food, refill our drinks. It wasn't until we spoke to the manager there. She explained to us how the AYCE worked and we were given the WRONG information. We (6) should have been able to order our OWN AYCE meal but we had to share 3 small plates. We did not get any service from EMMA. THEN as we are ready to leave and get the bill. She wants to bring us food. WASTE OF FOOD AND TIME. We are so disappointed in staff and how AYCE was a scam and did not let us all individually order. We did not enjoy our food like we are used to. Waste of time and money. read more

It's Applebees people! Calm down with the negative reviews. Seriously. You should go in with this mindset: decent service, decent quantity & quality, and affordable prices. If you go in with higher expectations you'll go home disappointed. Again...it's Applebee's. This location is fine, servers were good, and food was good. I'll return when the mood strikes again. I just had a margarita flight, so don't judge me. hahahaha Enjoy my friends! read more

Outstanding service at this location, largely thanks to Alberto. From the moment we walked in, he greeted every guest, seated us immediately, and never stopped moving. He was consistently sweeping, wiping down tables, and keeping the restaurant clean and organized while staying attentive to guests the entire time. What truly stood out was his work ethic and professionalism. He showed more initiative, energy, and accountability than anyone else on the floor and clearly takes pride in his role. Employees like him set the standard and make a real difference in the guest experience. I hope leadership recognizes and values the level of effort he brings. He is an asset to this store. read more

The 2 for 25dollares is very misleading. All the food pictured on the menu is not included in the special. You have to read the fine print which is really small. We went here for my birthday and probably wont be coming back. There was a lot of people, but not too crowded. It seemed like they had a lot of staff working and our waitress only came to our table like 3 times. We had our 2 yr old with us, and they said they ran out of crayons. The food was okay, chicken was dry, the four cheese Mac n cheese with chicken definitely does NOT look like the picture. You get these small little tenders that barely have any sauce on them. We got our chips and dip appetizer, and the chips were surely from the bottom of the bag. Im not sure why the kitchen even let the waitress take it out. It was quiet in the restaurant at first, but then you can tell there was a guy at the bar who was getting a little too drunk and was really loud. Everyone started to turn around to see who was yelling and cursing. The waitress also knew it was my bd and didnt do anything. When we left, my dad called the restaurant and spoke with the manager to tell her about our experience and she apologized for everything and also said she was sorry because I guess theyre supposed to do something special for birthdays. read more

Haven't been to Applebees for over a year so we felt nostalgic and wanted to come back. Mainly because of the $1 margaritas, and yes, you read that correctly. Margaritas for only $1?? What a steal! We ordered quite a few rounds of that. They're in a small cup but they're so cheap and tasted amazing. They come in mango and strawberry, but as much as I wanted to try the mango the strawberry was too good to pass up on. My friends and I also ordered a few plates to splits. The four cheese pasta has my heart. The mozzarella sticks were amazing as well. The place was pretty busy when we came in but we got seated quickly. I feel they may be understaffed because while our server came by often to check in on us, getting our drinks and food took quite a while. Even at the end, someone subbing for our server came by to offer a togo box, which I said yes to, but she never came back. In the end I went to the bar to ask for one myself because our original waiter already gave us our check and it's been 20 minutes since we were offered the box. It's not a big deal, but it was awkward trying to figure out if I should go get it myself or just wait. read more

Today was Promotion day across Elk Grove. Elementary Schools throughout the city are promoting. We called many places. All had waits that were over an hour. Fortunately for us. Applebee's had not opened yet. So we headed over to Applebee's minutes before opening. Amenity was acted very professional in letting us know. They did not expect so many large groups waiting when the doors opened at 11. That they were working on getting more staff to come in. We were seated and placing orders by 11:20. Along with many other groups. Even with the rush of promotion party's arriving. Lakayla was greeting everyone with a smile. Even as kids needed crayons. She did what she could and found plenty of pens. The food was Applebee's good. All 10 of us cleared our plates. Describing the ambiance.... I don't know. What I can say. Is before we left. A group of amazing and beautiful women walked in. They all had their knitting baskets with them. They set the tone for me. They were there to eat, drink tea, spill tea and knit. That was the ambiance. Pleasant. Welcoming. With good food and quiet enough to have conversations but with enough back ground noise to remind you to beep tapping your foot. Thank You Lakayla. You really saved the day. read more

We ordered the pretzel sticks to start and they came out burnt. I ordered a cheese burger (some pink in the middle). It came back as a beef chip between 2 pieces of bread. My son ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. It was not spicy and looked like it was mugged on the way to our table. We both ordered onion rings instead of fries. We each got 5 onion rings. Everything. Please please please do not support a business who plays ageism when hiring. They only seem to hire younger people for the FOH. During an interview I had (a little over a year ago) I have 26 years experience I know how to treat people im great with people very reliable etc. Im only 48 so its definitely not my experience. The girl interviewing me asked me how well I work with 19 & 20 year old! That to me is a discriminatory question. I was highly offended. I also tried making a report worh HR but ofc never a call back, I tried filing a discrimination report but am not traveling an hour away to make the report. So I was eating here tonight with my family and this really bothered me enough to leave a review. Family of 5 visit as we don't have many Applebee's in our home town and everyone was all over the place with what they wanted to eat before leaving. Arrived during lunch and took advantage of the 2 for $25 deal that included 2 Cheeseburgers and 2 salads. I was on my salad kick so I had one each and then ordered the Classic Combo for everyone to nibble on. I had the Riblets and subbed out the fries for Brocoilli. Other family members had the Southwest Chicken Bowl and the Mashed Potatoes & Brocolli sides as their main. It got busy pretty quickly for lunch, but no complaints outside of the fries for one of the cheeseburger plates not being hot... but they were quickly replaced. Service again is key for me and our server was prompt with refills, making adjustments to our meals and grabbing after thought items for us. We missed out on the happy hour deals but it was a good reminder of what we were missing and would look forward to another visit. read more

I was genuinely disappointed during my visit after witnessing a manager verbally disrespect a server in front of customers. The tone was harsh, absoulley disrespectful , and felt completely unnecessary. The server was transferring her tables while being harassed by what appeared to be a manager - Emity. The server looked around for help from other staff and no one attempted to stop the harassment from the older woman.
