Caritas tacos
Krobkal P.

Came here for a work luncheon. The servers were attentive since we were a large party. The carnival tacos were delicious and ready upon arrival. We made our own tacos and the tortillas were kept warm. Only downside was the horchata was kind of watery for my preference, despite it being a fresh batch.

One of my favorite Mexican food spots in Elk Grove. There's one server (forgot his name) and he's very funny, so nice and on point, every time! It's a super laid back atmosphere and they have some great happy hour specials. The bean dip appetizer come with chile colorado on top and it's yummy. Everything is always pretty darn good. Service is top notch!

We came here for dinner and not super crowded. Sat immediately and greeted by friendly waiter. I had the chile verde (which was super good) and she had the chicken mole (which she said was good - had a lot of chicken!). Fast friendly service! We'd go back again!!

Bell peppers in my enchilada

Wanted to try this place and this is such a sad place to call a Mexican restaurant. I've had my fair share of Mexican food and restaurant and this may be the worst ever. I knew it was going to be bad when there was no server and then we realized there was a server but she was talking to a customer for a very long time before helping us. She did this before sitting us down and to us while we waited. We knew from there that this experience was not going to be good. I ordered the three items which were carnitas tacos, carnitas burrito & enchilada with rice and beans. The rice was fluffy and nice. The beans were sweet which I've never had sweet refried beans before. The enchiladas was unseasoned chicken, super watery red sauce, and it had bell peppers. Bell peppers did not belong with the enchiladas at all. I took one bite and could not continue eating it. The carnitas taco and burrito were so dry. The only thing that helped was the sauce from my boyfriend's chile verde. The burrito wasn't even wrapped nicely or tightly, just thrown together on a slightly bigger tortilla and called it a day. My taco had cheese which felt more of an American taco. My boyfriend got the chile verde spicy, the spice was nice but that's about it. The pork with it was dry and the tortillas they gave him to eat with it were super hard. As hard as a tortilla chip, if not harder. We didn't eat it. They offer free chips and salsa but that's like the only good thing we had here. I would not recommend this place at all. I'd say go down the street and try other Mexican places. They make Taco Bell look better. So disappointing. (Same review by me on Google)

I came across edamame under appetizers. Based on the description, I ordered it. I love me some spicy edamame, especially when it's seasoned very well. I got my order to go, got home and when I opened the edamame, it was not what I expected. It was sitting in liquid. The description of the edamame under appetizers says nothing about it being in any kind of liquid or sauce. So I revisited the establishment tonight, which is Friday (the next day). I explained to the employee taking my order what I expected based on the description on the menu and what I got. I even showed her pictures. She said she's never seen edamame made that way (not in sauce) even though there's a picture of it being made that way under their Yelp profile. There was no attempt to rectify the situation so I left it be but it is a bit disheartening to order something with a specific description, then you get home and your order is not what you thought it would be and then there is no recourse provided. Based on this experience, my tip for future patrons is to ensure you get clarification on an item if you are trying it for the first time because it might not come in the same way it is described on the menu. I've been in contact with some very personable employees here who are amazing when it comes to customer service so I will definitely be back. And that salt and pepper shrimp has me in a chokehold LOL. I just wasn't a fan of this experience. But I do recommend this restaurant. Great food, great drinks and great staff!!

Had to be about 50 people (maybe more!) all in their main room and bar area. Yet service never wavered. My smash burger came out within 10 minutes. Cooked ready to order this burger was amazing. Great sauce. The meat itself was really flavorful. My onion rings were crunchy and not greasy. Loved them. Alot of people around me went with the wings and those looked and smelled really good. Spirits were high as the #1 pick came in. Of course the Raiders chose Fernando Mendoza, our quarterback of the future! Lots of Raider fans in attendance made the place pop with excitement. Clubhouse 56 feels like a neighborhood sports bar for East Sac but they also welcome everyone. The bartender, Natasha, was super friendly and patient with everyone. Parking here wasn't easy but I was still able to find a spot on the street in the neighborhood. Good to know about this place as I'll be sure to drop in sometime in the near future for a game.

Fire Taproom is located in the Delta Shores shopping center in Elk Grove!…read more My friend and I stopped at Fire Taproom to grab a drink and waste some time before attending an event at The Hot Spot next door a couple of weeks ago. The inside had a huge bar plus tables spread throughout - they also had an entire wall of beer taps that were self-served. You drank how much you wanted and then paid at the end, I think? Sounds like a cool concept. We ordered a Black Cherry Margarita and a Peach Mule - we both really liked what we ordered! The bartender was really nice and gave great recommendations! While we didn't order food, we did peruse the menu and they had a lot of good options like Chicken Wings, Fish and Chips, Fettuccini Alfredo - plus different salads, sandwiches, burgers and even pizza! I think my husband would really enjoy Fire Taproom so we will definitely be back next time we are in Elk Grove! Check them out!

And it for sure has been. So here is how it works here-when u walk in,you register a debit or credit card at the front desk and then they get you a pour card and then take you to your seat. This pour card allows you to go to the self pour section of the restaurant and grab a glass and pour beer to your hearts content. Each time you pour yourself a drink you can tell on the screen how much your pour is going to cost. Then at the end of your visit you turn in your pour card and they charge you for whatever damage you incurred. Pretty straightforward-It's so easy to rack up a tab,but honestly isn't that part of the fun.Its great for happy hour or killing some time before a movie or dinner. This place does have a pretty good food menu as well-mostly serving bar type food-though over my many visits I have tried most of their menu,I will say be careful when ordering food, make sure you have time, more than a few times the kitchen was super slow and ran right into my movie start time before food arrives, not all the time but enough time where it's something we think about when ordering food. Food has been mostly pretty good with the chicken wings and the tri-tip sliders my personal favorites when ordering food here. Another thing I do like about this place-they have a lot of TVs,so pretty much guarantees a great view from everywhere in the establishment. They also show all the UFC events at this bar-I know do to recent changes a lot of people are watching at home these days but if one does want to get out in the world to watch a UFC broadcast-this is an excellent place to make that happen. Not a beer person? No problem-this place does have a full bar for those of you who would prefer a cocktail Happy Hour is a thing here as well-so if in the area around happy hour-they got you covered with various food and drink discounts. In closing-If it's not obvious-I really love this bar and restaurant-they are super friendly and it's a really chill spot-one of my favorite happy hours to go to before going to a movie next door and even a great spot to just throw back a few beers either solo or with friends-you should stop by if in the area-I'm sure you will like it here too.
