Within these 4 well-decorated walls, I first felt the bliss of biting into a hot buffalo boneless wing, first reveled in the soul-shaking elation granted by that spicy, savory sauce. Here, with my comrades and compatriots, I have raised many-a-glass in triumph and downed a few in defeat, as well. I have felt a striking completeness, a calmness of spirit in settling back into the warm leather of a corner booth, having torn through two plates of half-off wings in a mere matter of minutes, and reflecting on the grandness of modern food service. The servers are among the gentlest souls I've come to know, and I miss them greatly when life renders me unable to be with them in this air-conditioned temple of sustenance. I have been to other Applebee's, and let me say this and say it clearly: just as Dorothy treading through a grim land of spiteful trees, little men with lollipops, and flying monkeys, I have seen the strangeness of a place which is not Home and have been very much afraid. We got seated right away, the waitress was really nice. Our service was....interesting. Our waitress who was very friendly was also a flake. I asked for no salt on my glass for my margarita and it came with salt and sugar and an Olive in the glass? I ordered a margarita not a martini! Our spinach and artichoke dip came after 20 minutes and the chips tasted like pure salt! The silverware wasn't rolled, the manager was passing out napkins, forks and knives. My friend got the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with honey glazed chicken...I would of named it honey glazed pasta. The flavor of the cheese was non existent and the breadstick was burnt. When we told our waitress, she replies "yeah, I saw that I don't know why I sent it out..." Then she picked the breadstick up with her hands on my friends plate! Wtfffff. My family loves this Applebees. We live in the area and go often (as do many people we see there)... the food is good. Is it a 5 star resturant - no, but for chain food, its good. Odd comment from the Guy that came in for lunch and wrote a 3 page bad review... I've been going to this Applebees for years and even worked their shortly - they've never had minestrone, chicken chili, beef barley, or chicken noodle soup that I can remember... Im thinking you are just crabby and need to eat at home. We will continue to go there regularly - the staff is nice and we have a great time. read more

Not for families. Our kids were well behaved but the waiter started off with an attitude towards kids. Plus continuing to forget things like silver wear and straws. Then over charged us and didn't feel too willing to fix it even though he agreed it happened. Heard other horror stories from friends after our experience at this location. read more

No different than any other Applebee's... solid, reasonably-priced food, yet over-priced drinks. The new menu has some tasty offerings, and I loved that they use Valentine vodka in some of their drinks (although I wish I could justify the expense)! read more

We've been here several times. Today we had Jessica as out waitress. She took good care of us. She even pointed out when we ordered that we could the 2 for $25 deal. She was very prompt. My chicken was a little over done this time. You are supposed to get a $5 off your next visit if the manager didn't visit your table but I didn't say anything. Today I took my wife to this place for dinner, after waiting a couple of minutes at the door for no one to help, we seated ourselves. It was NOT busy at all. After we sat down we waited for a server to at least bring water,..LOL. That was not to happen. We waited longer as we noticed a server chatting and laughing with other customers. After she finished chatting and laughing she went away for several minutes. After a few more minutes and no one even asking or coming by we decided it was time to leave. This is our neighborhood Applebees and we probably visit a few times per month. The greeters generally recognize us and make us feel like part of the Applebees' family. Servers are always friendly and managers ALWAYS come to the table to check on our meals. Food is good and prices reasonable. My fav is the Oriental Chicken Salad. I think it's about a thousand calories, but I love it :-) read more

We had the most amazing server at the Commerce Applebee's! His name is Steven and he is probably one of the best servers I've had at any restaurant! He was super friendly with a warm smile and was completely knowledgeable about the menu. He checked in with us often without being a pest and made sure that we had everything we needed! Walked in and had to wait 20 minutes to be served. The place wasn't even busy they just took their sweet time and didn't allow us to order. We had no water and once we ordered we didn't receive table settings. We got our food and it was late, once it came I was angered because we had yet to receive our silver wear. This is by far the worst apple-bees i have been to in some time. Their offers on yelp are very mis leading. The service is unbearable. It took over 30 minutes to get a water. They had many booths open but insisted we go to the bar because it would be easier on the people working. Last time i checked we're paying them so why can't we choose where we want to sit? The managers here are by far the rudest most inconsiderate people i have met. Not only did it take 35 minutes to get my appetizer, but when it arrived they informed us they had run out of ribs which we ordered for our main entrée. The managers didn't seem to care and did nothing to compensate for their lack of inventory. If i could leave one piece of advice its stay away from this Applebees. read more

This location is the worst service I have ever had. I have had the same issue a several times now but decided to give them another chance. BAD CHOICE on my part. The sandwich literally was in pieces when I opened it and the salad (if you'd call it that) was basically a handful of lettuce with a pinch of cheese. We had dinner at Applebee's | Commerce Township, MI. The food was fine but the service, from the manager to the waitstaff to the food runners, was the worst I've had in a long time. I can't remember the last time where I really felt as if my patronage meant nothing but that certainly is the sentiment tonight. My son and I planned our visit tonight because we absolutely loved the All -In Burger we tried at another location (12 Mile/Southfield-see review) last week. We loved the burgers here too. Absolutely delicious! The difference between this visit (Haggerty/near 14 Mile) and the last was the customer service. Everyone from the young man who greeted us at the door, as he held it open for us, the host who seated us and asked about our night, the waitress who was so friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, the 2 managers who checked in with us and spent time with us, to the man who opened the door for us as we left and wished us a great night. I know that's supposed to be standard service for your company. It should be for every business. The thing is, everyone was very warm, sincere and smiling. It did not feel forced or fake or part of the job. I believe the staff love their job and respect and appreciate the customers. It shows on their faces, in the taste of the food and drinks and the sincere interest in the customers experience. Great job to everyone working tonight 1/6/15 dinner service! Went to this Applebee's tonight to carry out since we had a snow storm and hubby was at home. The last time I went a similar problem occurred. I'm a Veteran and about a year ago or more I signed up to receive emails(while dining in) since we have gone there several times and I was told that Monday's are 30% off for Vets and every other day is 10%. First time I used discount on a Monday and it was a carry out for my husband and I and I offered proof of Vet status and they said not necessary and Thank you for your service and next time we'll bring the food out to your car! How nice! I ordered a couple times after that. Then a few months ago I ordered carry out at the bar and got 5% off total bill and when I asked why the bartender told me it was 10% off 1 entree. I asked to speak to Manager and she said that's always been the policy! Really?? So she gave me 10%, reluctantly. I went tonight and ordered dinner hoping to use the $5 off $25 coupon they sent, but it was done in only, so I asked to have a Veterans discount and the Manager (same as last time) said they don't give discounts for carry out any more but she'd make an exception this time since I couldn't use the other coupon. (She was doing me a Big Favor). If it weren't for the nice Bartender who helped me choose the entree, I would have walked out. The Food wasn't that great after all. I usually tip at least 10% on carry out. I don't know what happened to honoring the Veterans, but if it's an imposition don't advertise falsely. I won't be back! read more

I was very unhappy with my visit. I was just there March 27th for the Wings game. I got the oriental chicken wrap, and ended up getting food poisoning. I am very very very unhappy. This has caused me to miss days off work, I lost weight and I couldn't even hold water down. I hear they do not wash their dishes properly. I am VERY UNHAPPY!!!!!! read more
