Derek was our waiter and he was great! There were four of us. Three of us got the Fiesta Lime chicken, and one got the chicken tenders. We all did the the "2 for $26" meals. My husband I got the boneless wings for our appetizer. The wings had good flavor but they were a bit over cooked........too much crisp and not enough meat. My husband usually gets the Fiesta Lime chicken, but this was a first for me. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was very tender and tasty. I would probably order it again. read more

I ordered for take out and my order was ready on time. This location is one block from the Holiday Inn Express on Cortez so is convenient.

Took my young 11yo daughter (she'd never been to an Applebees). I ordered a steak meal and she ordered a salmon filet. My steak came out (I asked for medium rare but it was purple in the middle, so super rare and chewy, but oh well). Her salmon filet did not come out. The waitress blamed the kitchen staff and tells me it'll take 2 minutes... instead, it takes about 20 minutes. By that time, I'm done with my dinner (and gave my daughter all my sides to hold her over). The waitress doesn't apologize or offer any discount. Instead she holds the card machine in my face to complete my transaction and hovers as I choose how much to tip. The only good things were the gentleman host was kind and my daughter mentioned how it wasn't loud like other restaurants... but we won't be back. read more

Went to Applebees for a quick bite this evening as I was really in the mood for a burger. The bar tender/waiter (David) was great. However, I order a simple burger with no cheese, not a complicated order. When my order came out, our course they placed cheese on the burger. I advised the server I ordered a burger without cheese. The server took the burger back and within 5 mins a new burger was bright to me (so I thought it was a new burger). I flip the burger over so I could add some ketchup and lo and behold, I realized all the cook did was scrape most of the cheese off the burger and serve it right back to me still with traces of cheese melted on the burger Needless to say I was annoyed because, as I explained to David, it I were allergic to cheese, they could've jeopardized my health. They could've also had been sued for blatant negligence. I will need to think twice about returning here as I don't trust the cook. The staff handled the situation very well and appeared to be concerned over what happened. Kudos to David and the manager who stepped up to address the issue. read more

My mother in law has memories of the oriental chicken salad being fabulous. This is the 2nd time we've gone to have it based on her past experiences. We'll the lettuce was brown and wilted. She picked out pieces and ate around what she could. The chicken use to be warm large pieces of grilled breast but now it was cold and small cut up pieces. She forgot to ask for the dressing on the side but at least it wasn't soaked in too much sauce. I went to keep her company and got the Impossible burger . On the menu it's listed with American cheese so I asked about the bun and glad I checked as it's vegetarian so I left it off since I don't eat dairy or egg. It was meh and wouldn't go if it weren't for my m-i-l's desire for this salad and given that it was bad we may not be back (hopefully). The service was terrible. We seated ourselves and got menus. The salad was taken off the bill which was good not our table was never cleared and I probably shouldn't have taken pictures. I'm guessing it's the labor but and yes I'm willing to give those working a break but those there would actually need to be present too. read more

It was the worse thing I've eaten since moving here. The wife got the Riblet platter and it was all fat and disgusting. The coleslaw was also horrible. First and last time I'll eat here. read more

A great visit It wasn't busy when we stopped in this mid-afternoon, the hostess was great getting us settled in. Our server came over to introduce herself and take our drink orders. We took a look at the menu and both decided on burgers, for me one called the Whiskey Bacon Burger. It was on the verge of raining and we joked with our server we either needed to eat quickly or very slowly. Not sure if she put in that we were in a hurry or they were just fast, but whatever the reason we had our food in like 7 minutes. My burger was standing about as tall as I have ever tried to eat, once you manage to pick it up you don't want to set it back down. It was a challenge, and delicious. The side of fries were noticeably very good. The rains did arrive, trapping us at Applebee's for a bit. What do you do when trapped at a restaurant? Keep eating, or drinking. We looked over the desserts, and I selected their Southern Apple Fritter, a crispy fritter with slices of cinnamon apples, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel. At only $.6.99 I didn't expect it to be so large, much more than one person should eat. Of course, I did, both enjoying it and feeling guilty at the same time. By the time we finished our second meal of desserts the rain had stopped, we settled up and left. Throughout our visit our upbeat server took very good care of us, including helping us use one of those pay at the table iPads. My favorite and only entree that I order is the three cheese chicken penne with no bruschetta and a side of classic buffalo sauce to dip the chicken in. It's the bees knees if you ask me. I was craving it today so I said "why not order on uber eats and have it delivered. I triple checked my order and made sure to include my wing sauce as a side. Everything looked perfect! When the order came to my door I was so excited to open the bag and get the goodness in my belly. First thought was "my poor penne couldn't survive the bone chilling air!" But lucky for me, I have a microwave. I popped that sucker in there for a minute and 30 seconds and it came out nice and steamy! I went to reach in the bag for my buffalo sauce and was suddenly confused. What I looked at was not the crayola orange, creamy goodness that I was expecting but an imposter! I thought my eyes had played a trick on me. What I was looking at was a side of MELTED BUTTER! I gasped and immediately thought I ordered the wrong sauce. All you can eat Tuesday night, take 17 minutes each time I order to get more, next to me was a couple being loaded with Chicken Tenders all the time, I guess the server at the bar do not care to much for old / new customers, I order a drink that is Happy Hour and she served a mixed from big jar, well is the first time was served this way from many times I was there last week, The Hospitality was not serve to me by Susan the bar tender, but I guess she also do not care. Food temperature issue! Eat here at your own risk. We ordered the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli and the chicken dish came out raw, and in 1 minute, which means they do not cook to order! They must cook a bunch ahead, keep them on warm for god knows how long, maybe all day, and then serve them. Clearly, Applebees on Cortez doesn't use food thermometers because the chicken we were served was pink in the middle, not once, but TWICE! We sent it back becsuse the texture was slimy and there were rubbery parts. Then they brought out a pink in the middle breast of chicken. YUCK. read more

We went on the 23 of Dec 2022 for dinner around 5:30 the front desk had no one and we waited for 10 min without anyone greeting us. A waitress that was covering the left side upstairs tables would look at us once in a while and clean a table or two but didn't say anything to us she was rude and. Worst food ever half the time. One thing on your plate will be hot. The other side order is cold. Servers are rude and incompetent. They don't even know where to deliver the food to. worst place ever very dirty. I've even witness cockroaches crawling on the bar. Bathrooms are disgusting. Three out of the four stalls half the time are stopped up with crap and toilet paper. You try to wash your hands and you get droplets of water because the sink water doesn't work. The bar is all warping from all the leakage from the sewage and disgusting water in the bar area. Just look at how many managers they go through. My First time here and i really must say service was terrible, it took forever for our server to come back and see if we needed anything, and then our server told us that the mixed drinks were 2 for 1 so i ordered 4 mixed drinks under the impression that they 2 for 1 but was charged for each individual drink and also apps were 1/2 price after 10 yet i still was charged full price for that. And i almost forgot to mention that i had to ask 3 different people for Napkins before i got any and still didn't get them from my server who's name is Courtney, the hostess took better care of us than our server so Kudos to the hostess as she did an awesome job but the server really needs to be properly trained because her server skills are really piss poor. With that being said that will definitely be my first and only visit to this location. read more

I am beyond disappointed in this restaurant. The whole staff was perfect. The service was fantastic and even the food. The manager (Jackie) on the other hand was awful. She was rude and wildly inappropriate. My family and I over heard her talking badly about her staff in the nastiest way possible. My granddaughter works in the restaurant industry and I would never want her to be treated like such. I'm highly disappointed with this restaurant chain, if it's not under new management it might need to be. The quality of the food has really gone down in the past 4 months that has really turned me off from going to Applebees or at least this specific restaurant. For $3.50 you get a small container of Alfredo sauce that isn't fully mixed or maybe that's just how they did me. Then for $8.00 you get a half a cup of white queso sauce when before they at least gave you a full cup of both. The manager claimed corporate is who's to blame for the prices but I'm sure the restaurant manager is the one who controls the amount of food you get for the price. I couldn't believe that they severed me food like this and thought it was okay to go out of the kitchen. This place looks ran down and the servers look like they're all ready to go or fed up. I hope this place can really change, if not I don't see it staying open for much longer. The ambiance feels like okay get your food and get out. It might as well be considered a fast food restaurant rather than a causal dinning. The Applebees on Cortez has really got some improvements to do before I can eat or recommend this place again. read more

3/12/22 my partner and I decided to go to this Applebees for a bite to eat around 4 pm in which they were not busy at all after we got off work. First of all the place is completely filthy!!!!! We were taken back by the bugs in the window seals, the host sat us down at a dirty table, ( again the place was a ghost town) we had to ask for a dirty paper napkin to be removed from our table We watched the host set a bottle of cleaning solution on the paper with drinking water on a table and walked off and left it there, and things get even worse! The food was horrendous!!!! Fries came out cold, not even warm. We both ordered hamburgers and they weren't done, no mayo no nothing! On the whiskey burger the onion rings were burnt, the waiter ever asked how the food was or our experience, I'm telling you the restaurant is completely Filthy in the dining room! If your guest see this in the dining you, I can only imagine how your kitchen looks!!!!!! I never write bad reviews, BUT this experience took us by surprise and where is the manager? I'm being honest to tell you that whomever the manager is, they need replacing because there is no training, leadership, or values going on at this location. We even took photos to show just how nasty this restaurant actually is inside! There is never an excuse for a dining room to look as this location is. It's past the word disgusting!!!
