Probably the worst "French dip " I ever tasted. Gave me less than half a cup of Au Jus. Meat was chewy

Possibly the worst Applebee's I ever been to. I would definitely avoid this place the food taste like it was cooked on a dirty stove top. They gave me a half a cup au jus. The quality of food is just not worth it for the price. There are better options out there other than Applebee's. Applebee's became the new expensive fast food restaurant. You're better off eating dog food.

Food is the normal good Applebee's fare, however Scott the waiter is exceptional he always takes good care of us every time we are here. He makes the experience worth the 40 minute round trip drive

Do you ever have a food that you just crave? For me it's wings. I could probably eat wings everyday…read moreand never get sick of them. I like hot wings, bbq wings, and will try most any flavor. My absolute favorites though are the Plum Barbeque Wings at Green Mill. They are so delicious and always hit the spot. I always order them with a side of the sweet potato fries and honey mustard. Green Mill has a great menu with something for everyone. In fact, when we have family up here this is usually the spot we take them. There aren't any Green Mills in Florida so it's new for them. We always get the spinach and artichoke dip. It comes with bread, but they're really good about substituting gluten free items so I always get the corn chips. The cheese curds are also great. My friend loves their Langostino Lobster & Shrimp. I think he orders this every time we go. When my sister came up on her last visit she chose the Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese and raved about it. They also make a fantastic Strawberry Daquiri Of course there's a full drink menu with several other choices, but my sister and I prefer these. What's great about Green Mill is not only can everyone find something they like, it's also nice on the pocket book. Their prices are comparable with competitors like Applebee's and Chili's.

They had a walleye fest going on. My friend got the Walleye filet and I got the walleye sandwich…read more I never expected to Green Mill to be able to serve such fabulous walleye. I think of it a pizza place only. Not so! The fish was a hot, cooked to perfection and flaky. Sides were excellent. Fast friendly service. It's the best restaurant walleye I've had in a long, long time.

*Part of my visiting home for the holidays 2008-2009 review series*…read more Oh, Andy's - how I love thee. Maybe it is because I work too hard over the course of the year, or because big city bars aren't all their cracked up to be, but spending a few late December evenings at Andy's strikes me as a nearly perfect way to end the year. The fish on the walls, the numerous softball trophies displaying local athletic prowess, and a neon sign that reminds us all to, "Keep it Golden, Minnesota." What more could you really want? Pitchers run around $7 and its easy to start a tab. Trivia during much of the year is on Friday evenings, but they postpone the competition while the college kids are home. The crowd is quite a bit younger during Spring Break, River City Days, and the Holidays. The crowd is more mixed locals during the rest of the year. My minor critiques of this bar (I'm being tough on them, but come on, I gave them five stars) - from time to time I've strolled upstairs to gawk at the people I went to high school with below; why is nobody ever up there hanging out? My sister responds to this complaint by saying, "Its really cold up there!" When my friends and I have failed to find a table we've gone up there to chill out, narcissistically thinking the party will just follow us - but it never does and we're forced to dart downstairs to grab a table later on. The one positive comment I've heard about the upstairs comes from an out of towner who married a local. She once told me, "It is great to go up there so that I can can spy on who my husband talks to all night." Also, maybe it is the fact that I've had a couple drinks over the course of the evening, but the juke box tends to get LOUD by the end of the night. Man alive, it is hard to have a conversation by the end of the festivities at Andy's. All in all, this is one of my favorite bars in Red Wing. Nothing else nearby can really compare in terms of local get togethers. We'll see you next year! Fun Fact: Locals have been known to refer to this bar as "St. Andrews".

The service was great, we came right when it opened but the bar filled up quickly! Hungry in the Hawkeye State [St Ansgar IA]…read more After taking the self-guided tour at the SPAM Museum in Austin MN we decided to skip having lunch around the area and drove over the state line to Iowa and had lunch at this unassuming place called City Limits Bar & Grill. It was 21 miles from the Spam Museum to the restaurant. We arrived around 2:45p and the restaurant was surprisingly busy, the crowd was loud, various sports were showing on the flatscreens, everyone just having a great time. The waitress was busy but she single-handedly handled the crowd and the bar pretty well. On the way here we passed by seemingly countless rows of corn and wheat. When the waitress came to our table to get our orders we asked her what is a popular food Iowans like to eat. She pointed on the menu at the Old Fashioned Fritter sandwich. It is a center-cut pork loin, pounded and either grilled or dipped in their signature batter then fried. I ordered a 16-oz Bone-in French cut Ribeye. She said there are more cattle than people and the most pork LoL! They are also known for their steak. She wasn't lying... both the Iowa-style breaded pork fritter sandwich and the steak were delicious. It was just funny seeing the humungous pork tenderloin in between the bread and made the buns look tiny. The beef is so tender, juicy and flavorful. Looks like a popular place with the locals and visitors too with its warm, inviting ambiance and friendly staff. Review #3844
