Interesting. I wanted to leave a review on our experience tonight and found my review from three months ago explaining the food has been lacking, even down to sprinkling seasoning on their awesome pretzels. Well, tonight was no different. Our service was awesome and we ordered pretzels to start and they arrived with zero seasoning as well as being VERY underdone. Our waitress agreed and took them back and quickly brought us a new batch. Exact. Same. Problems. So, we put them to the edge of the table and told her (now that our other food was in) that we didn't want to try getting them cooked again. She apologized and brought the gm (Mike) over who is always helpful. He even offered to make them for us. However most of his talk to us made us feel like we just must like them over done and suggested we ask them to be dropped longer when we come in next time. These were clearly not cooked all the way theough, you could tell by the elasticity of the dough and it's denseness. The biggest issue for me then arose when another waitress mentioned they were getting complaints yesterday about the pretzels being undercooked as well. Overall service was kind and accommodating. Service was ok at best. It was a little slow. I received a kids cup of Sprite complete in styrofoam with a lid and I'm 33 years old! Haha! Seriously! We ordered a sampler platter and it was your basic fried food. Our kids had chicken tenders/fries. I had the tomato soup/grilled cheese and hubby had a burger. Nothing was tragic, but nothing spectacular. I was reminded why we only go there once in a blue moon. Well !! The waitress didn't want to be working that day. She was not good at all. Three Cheese Macaroni with honey barbeque chicken was over cooked. The bread stick was so well microwaved it was hard as a rock. The three cheese macaroni was missing the cheese and it was floating in honey. The manager took it off the bill but it should have never been allowed out of the kitchen. Ask for medium well steak and got a medium steak which was very red. It feels a little silly to review an Applebees, since they're all pretty much the same. It is what it is -- perfectly good food, consistent so you always know what you're getting, but nothing unique. But, heck, sometimes that's what you want. I come here about once a week. I come here about 3-2 times a week. And I get the same thing every time. Always great service and the food does great. BUT yesterday when I went and the first time they brung out my sandwich it it had everything on it that I asked to be taken off. So they brought me a second. The second time it came out with cold cheese when it's supposed to be melted in. So by the time I got it remade a 3rd time my family was done eating so I have to get it to go. Then TONIGHT I just left. Ordered the same thing again like I do every day. And the sandwich had no sauce and no bacon. So he took it back and it came out again with hardly any sauce or bacon and my meet was cold. Also the service tonight was TERRIBLE. we sat down for 30 mins before we could order out appetizers. Then had wait to ask for sauce for another good 20mins. All throughout the night the service was slow and TERRIBLE. most of the time the manager was helping us. It had been a while since our family had visited the Adrian location so we swung in.We were seated at a booth that had just been wiped down and the table and seats were soaking wet. I found some napkins and dried everything off myself as the waiter stood by. We ordered our meals .The waiter walked by several times and each time he said the food would be up soon and he would get refills. Finally after 35 minutes he stopped and gave us a story about a problem in the kitchen and the food would be priority. Still no refills. 10 minutes later he stopped an told us the manager ok'd a 10% discount.(big deal).Finally after another20 minutes my wife went up and talked to the manager who claimed to know nothing about the whole thing. Took my niece here for her birthday. Put our name on the list. Was the second person down. They seated 5 couples before us that arrived after us. When we sat down we placed our order, the waitress was very polite and let us know the kitchen was really behind and apologized to us for the issue at the door. My wife and I stopped by the Adrian location for lunch yesterday and I must say that it was less than an enjoyable visit. The first thing that hits you is the loud music. I do not know who determines what music is played but if this person would take a look at the customers they would see that the median age is about 40. So why would you have music blasting that is more suitable for a room full of 12 year old's. Please no offense meant for you 12 year old's out there! Service was not very good. Took 15 minutes for our server to bring our drinks. Sorry but it was not very busy, what was she doing? Appetizers arrived without plates. Had to stand at the bar until the manager finally saw me and asked if he could help. Handed me some plates from behind the bar. We have been in this location a few times but this will be our last time. Note to server: learn how to actually wait on customers, that is if you want a tip. Also develop more than a two word vocabulary. Stop saying " No Problem". When you offer such poor service it is a "Problem". read more

My husband says we can never go back. Ridiculous lousy service. My husband and son took me here for my birthday. Once again they were out of pinot grigio wine keep in mind they only carry three varieties of white wine I settled for chardonnay. My husband preceded to tell him about how we had been waiting for some time for a check or for our waitress to return to ask us about dessert and that he had let her know it was my birthday. He says oh I think she's working on that now. Then proceeds to walk over to our waitress at the waitress station and key something in the register. About 10 long minutes later my brownie bite, ooh how impressive, arrives and the waitress tells my husband in a joking manner you ruined my surprise. Um really the fact that applebees gives you a one dollar dessert on you're birthday is you're big surprise. My husband was so embarrassed and upset about being called out like that. It was awkward and ridiculous for the manager to not see that we can see what's going on. When we arrived, they proceeded to tell us that they had sat others before us and it would be an hour and a half wait. We refused and say separately. I like Applebee's. When I can afford it. When I take my daughter there, who is a vegetarian, there is always a lot of arguing over there being very little for her to eat. She's not a fan of just salads and cheese sticks or french fries. Because of that and because their prices are pretty high, I can't get out of there for less than $30 for two people having a meal and a soft drink. Although their food is pretty good, the atmosphere is sports bar type with loud music and lots of screens showing sports. Not exactly my cup of tea. Or my daughter's. read more
