This Apple Store is located in a convenient area, right off Highway 280. Whenever I visit this store, it's always so busy! This is generally why I try to buy my Apple products with at other stores--I try to avoid the crowds. Now, I will say that I'm always approached relatively quickly when I enter the store, but then, it may be a wait to actually be helped with my issue. When I went to the Apple Store this past weekend, I was looking for iPods. My kids are too young for a cell phone, but the new generation iPods are practically phones. I also looked at the new Apple Watch. I have an Apple Watch already, but I'm considering upgrading. The lady who assisted me said she didn't think they had any iPods in the store, but Apple does still sell them. She went in the back to see if maybe there was a model she could show me, but there wasn't one. Even though they didn't have what I wanted, I appreciate the employee's willingness to try to assist me.

As soon as one walks through the door below the Apple logo - you know you are in the cool zone. This is a high traffic area - and high volume, meaning as soon as the doors open you hear the buzz from the crowd inside. Be sure to book an appointment - we were there for my husbands iwatch and were lucky to get a same day appointment for 5:10PM... in the middle of Summit area rush hour. 20 minutes later, we walked out with the issue addressed and a new watch on its way to my husband - and everything covered under the warranty. I chose to wait outside due to the crowded conditions and I did some shopping in the neighboring stores while I waited for my husband. There are several park benches outside for those so inclined. According to my husband, the staff were knowledgeable, competent and very user-friendly, so even the newbie feels comfortable. Highly recommend - just be patient...

I've come to apple at least a hundred times now and all of my experiences have been good. As soon as you walk in someone will greet you and tell you the wait time. The employees are highly trained and have never not known the answer to one of my questions. Since this is the only apple store in Alabama (besides Huntsville), it is always very crowded. Although someone greets you at the door, it can take up to an hour sometimes to get with an employee. But this is not a complaint since they have such a high amount of people come in, just something to know if your in a hurry.

My husband's thumb just lightly pressed on the home button and it cracked underneath his thumb and even got a glass shard in his thumb. We made an appointment at 4pm with the Apple Store; but we decided to walk in and see if we could make an appointment. They were able to see us within an hour. So glad we didn't have to wait until 4pm to get his phone looked at. Moglie helped and got us a new phone. She was amazing and cheerful and made our transition as easily as possible in getting a new phone and figuring out what to do. Barry, the guy who checked us out for the Beats wireless headphones, was really nice. He was extremely friendly and ensured that my husband's phone was set up before we left. Overall, all the people that we talked to were so nice and friendly and willing to help. Moglie and Barry deserve a pay raise. We are from out of town, and was thankful this Apple Store took very good care of us. :-)

They got to us pretty quickly. An hour wait for service. In their defense, the daughter could have made a reservation .

I guess in all fairness I should start this review by saying I am a big fan of almost all things Apple (really I don't mind PC/android platforms either). For those of you that have shopped for Apple product it is somewhat a challenge to go to a store and find what you are looking for. Many places obviously have the iPAD's and iPhones and some have Apple Watch. However most places that carry Apple product have a very small supply of computers (laptop/desktop) and Apple branded accessories. Enter Apple Store. They are what the Apple fan needs to get the Apple technology fix. They have all of the above, however they carry a great assortment of all of these items. They have several different options when it comes to MacBook and MacBook Pro. The customer service team stands out amongst the crowd as they are dressed in a bright green shirt and stationed at the area of their expertise. Very helpful staff asks if you have any questions as you walk through the various products on display. If you need support make sure to call ahead and make an appointment as they can be very crowded and waits can be very long. But, that being said the customer service is great and they do their best to get to you and take care of you as quickly as possible. Great location at the Summit so you can add some additional shopping in or grab a bite to eat.

Ask the Community - Apple The Summit

Do I need an appointment to have my phone looked at for possible repair?

    Appointments are preferred

Is making an appointment necessary for purchasing iTunes gift cards at the Apple Store? I understand there is no additional surcharges when purchasing the gift cards at the Apple Store. Is this correct?

There is no need to make an appointment for that you can just see a sales person for assistance when you walk in, and no there is no additional charge

I came by the store today, the day after Christmas, to swap my wife's Apple Watch to a different color and size.

On 11/20/2025, I upgraded my son's phone at this location. We have a family plan and his phone was eligible for a new phone for quite some time. I was informed by the salesperson, he could take my son's phone in on trade, upgrade to the new iphone, give me a better plan and lower my overall bill. So we did just that. Then I went to my account and saw an additional line that I Never Asked for. I called the 1.800 number of AT&T and was told, the salesperson did something wrong and it was a good catch on my part. The 1.800 said, only the store could fix the issue so I went first thing this morning. I was told no issue just bring the phone in. They had to return the phone, then resell it and my bill would not go up. I went home, got my son, than went back. Two visits for a mistake that was the stores issue. Now I was told that by returning the phone, and putting it back on the account I would have to pay a restocking fee of $55.00. This was for a mistake; I did not make and one that needed to be corrected before 14 days. The salesperson insisted I would have to pay the restocking fee even though it was the same phone we were getting back. Something was off and someone was doing something that was not policy. It was apparent. I was also told, I still had to call 1.800 to get the extra line off my bill. It was suggested, just leave things alone. SOOO, I called AT&T 1.800 again. 57 min later, I was told, that it would be best just to leave the extra line on my account. Based on what was done, My bill would be $35.00 less than normal. The issue is I was not told all the facts and all the local AT&T store really wanted was the extra line and they get commission on that. They just manipulated the system. I wasted four hours total on this and really does not fill me with enthusiasm to continue to do business with AT&T or their local office. Full Disclosure, the 1.800 rep gave me $75.00 in good will for my hassle. That was nice. Sorry for the RANT.

I asked the representative to explain the differences between my current iPhone 10 and the new iPhone 12 Pro. The representative stated that there are "no differences". Does that sound like a sales pitch to you? I do not recommend this location if you have a desire to learn more about the latest technology.

Negative should be an option…read more I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience with T-Mobile has been so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. After being a customer for four years, paying nearly $90 a month, I expected at least a baseline level of respect and service. Instead, what I got was overpriced plans, inconsistent value, and customer service that felt dismissive at best and outright disrespectful at worst. When I finally decided enough was enough and requested a transfer PIN to switch providers, the attitude I received was shocking--like I was somehow in the wrong for no longer wanting to overpay for subpar service. What stood out most was the complete lack of effort to retain me as a customer. No meaningful offers, no attempt to understand my concerns--just indifference. For a company that takes so much from its customers month after month, you'd expect at least a professional and courteous goodbye. That didn't happen. My experience with the T-Mobile location in Birmingham, Alabama only reinforced my decision. The service there was unprofessional, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable. It felt like customer care was the last priority. Since switching, I've had a completely different experience. The transition was seamless, quick, and stress-free exactly how it should be. It made me realize just how unnecessarily difficult T-Mobile had made things all along. Consumers should know they have options. Loyalty should be valued, not exploited. T-Mobile seriously needs to reevaluate how they treat long-term customers, because right now, it feels like they simply don't care. Goodbye, T-Mobile and good riddance. Oh by the way xfinity is giving customers mobile services for one year free If you have been with them a period of time , consumers should know their options and not being taken by greedy companies.
