Had an emergency and needed my MacBook fixed ASAP. I went in right before they closed and they were very accommodating and kind. I made an appointment for the Genius Bar the next day and was again greeted and helped by many positive employees. My Genius Bar employee, Jessica, got my MacBook's screen replaced in just over an hour. Have had other positive experiences at this store too! read more

Horrible experience. Went in to get a phone fixed. Instead of connecting to iTunes and restoring phone, made me wait for 44 minutes kept referring from one to other employee and took the store to the back, where I have no idea what they did and said it was a hard ware issue. They could not fix it. After that they forced me to buy a new phone and on their end they write that I asked for an upgrade. I had to pay $440.00 for a new phone and I did because o thought I had no choice, it was Sunday evening and I was driving long distant at night and did not want to leave without a phone. As soon as I left the store, my original phone started working, by then they were closed. Now I have two phones that I don't need and they just SCAMMED us! Beware!!! read more

Corey was the most helpful salesperson I've interacted with in a long time! I will continue to go to this Apple store and request Corey for assistance. Helpful, explained the products I was considering and the difference between them, and provided useful recommendations without forcing me to buy the most expensive product. read more

Brought in my iPhone 12 Pro with battery life issues. I have to charge this phone 4-5x per day. It's within the 1 warranty but because my battery capacity isn't at 80% (it's at 90%) apple cannot do anything despite the phone dying multiple times daily. Chris at this store recommended I get a portable charger and go to another store once I'm done traveling. The entire issue is traveling with a phone with an unreliable battery life. Zero help. Hire employees who take customer concerns seriously. read more

I'm an Apple consumer dating back nearly 20 years. I rarely get to visit the actual store, with money in hand, so I was very excited to go. As I entered, the greeter politely asked how they could help me. After I asked if they had a specific product in stock, her faced literally scowled and she responded with dissension 'Oh, I don't know that's an old product, no one ever asks for that anymore, what are you going to use it for anyway?' I was immediately deflated and politely responded "Well, I'm old I guess it's a good fit. Can you just see if you have one?" Turns out, after more doubt and dissent from the greeter, they had the product in stock and I came prepared to purchase it. However, after the exchange with the greeter, I no longer wanted to purchase the product in store. I understand I am a microscopic cog in the Apple wheel and that's fine. The in store customer service stinks. I went home and purchased it on Amazon. I won't step foot back in the store at the Summit. I like Apple products because they work. Steve was a notorious jackass so I don't know why I expected anything less at the store. Oh well. I'll still continue to use Apple. read more

My time is short, and my memory is too. I can not remember the young sista who was so courteous, knowledgeable and patient who assisted me in correcting a major error by Best Buy! Can't thank her enough. I was there in the Steelers jersey on 9-5-19, around 6 pm. To make matters even better, much love to the Mgr., I think his name was Carlos, S/O to your team(Cowboys) win this past week even tho I hate them! Just want to thank you guys for everything you did for me and the family. Y'all made a very frustrating day very pleasant and I may be coming back soon to trade my phone in for the iPhone 11. I try to recognize quality service as much as I acknowledge bad service. So often we complain but never give compliments to those that do a great job in customer service. I must say; they knew their Apple stuff! read more

I know I sound like a total hater here, but seriously, 5 stars everyone? The Apple Store is cool (ish), because it's an Apple Store. But this particular one at The Summit is sub-par if you've ever been to, say, the Apple Store in Covent Garden in London (it has 3-4 floors, is spacious, brick-walled, and dare I say elegant). Always crowded, I get jostled every time I step in the front door, even if it is only crowded with busy-looking employees. The fact that I am required to make an appointment to have someone quickly check an issue with my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, etc, makes me unhappy. I like prompt, personal service. I really like that level of service at a place that will remember my name. I always feel awkward and a little un-cool at this Apple Store, which is strange considering I am absolutely obsessed with Apple, its products, its founders, etc. I even worked at an independently owned Apple Store (Perry Computer) and was certified to help people with their Apple stuff. But, I feel like the employees here always want to show off their knowledge of the products instead of tailoring their soundbites to what each individual customer needs to know. My grandmother doesn't need to know about the processing speed and the ability to wirelessly print- she needs to know that if she turns it on, it won't blow up. (seriously, I've had this talk with many grandmothers). Anywho... I do still run into this store from time to time to pick up an accessory I cannot get elsewhere, or if I have to have my iPhone replaced because the button gets stuck, but if I have a choice, I always shop local, or at least run to Best Buy to get the accessories I need. It's an Apple Store, I'll give you 5-star givers that. But I'm gonna have to go with my friend Alden, here. I don't diss, unless it's bad. The PROS It's an Apple store and has Apple products. The CONS This one is too small and I always feel like they're herding cats in there. It's the only store I "time" my visit to because it's so crowded all the time. The vibe with that feels off. Nothing about an Apple should feel "off". This store doesn't beam "cool" - it beams "unnecessarily busy" - I guess it's all the employees milling around. They've got TONS of accessories - every case for every product you could imagine. But the accessories always look a little worn - ripped boxes, dirty covers, etc. In a total of 5 visits, I had one really, really good tech - Victor. However, Mr SS9's MBP was acting up and it took them three days to figure it out, never called to tell us it was ready, and guess what --- it's still not fixed. I, too, dislike the idea of the appointments just to take a look at something and when you call they are less than helpful on the phone, asking you to make an appointment at the G Bar. But that is an Apple culture thing. So unless you go to an independent that is what you'll get. I'm into the idea of flagship stores - MY company has a great one on Michigan Ave in Chicago that is cool and fun and neat-o ... Apple is proud of their stores - but I bet if Mr Jobs (iRIP) were alive and came to the Ham to see his store, he'd be a little disappointed. read more

I found out how Apple earned it's customer service reputation. I had an iPhone quit working and the Genius Bar went out of their way to explain my issue, attempt to correct the problem, and when all else failed, replaced the phone. I now have to wonder how nice it would be to have the same support with the family's computers. To Fred, Mac, and the gang at the Genius Bar, Kudos! read more

I made an appointment to have my broken IPad replaced. After waiting a week for the appointment and driving 60 miles to the store I was told they did not have my replacement and to come back the following week. I wanted to choke my Genius but I realized killing him would be doing him to big of a favor. When I came back the second time to pick up the replacement no one wanted to take the time to assist me to make sure it was working properly. I had to stop at Verizon for them to get it to work. Customer service at Apple does not exist. How sad. read more

Being the only Apple Store in Birmingham, you really don't have a choice when it comes to where to go for Apple support. All that being said, the employees here really strive to give quick, informative advice. And although they know a whole lot more about this stuff than I do, they don't talk to you like the dummy they might be thinking I am. I had problems with my computer once. That was over a year ago. So the only thing I remember was that it was easy to get an appointment, I only spent 30 minutes there, and my problem was solved and never came up again. What more could you ask for. This past visit was a little more difficult. It was hard to find an appointment that wasn't a week out (although one eventually popped up for 7:30 PM), and they weren't able to help me. Mainly because I got my screen changed by a 3rd party store. So not their fault. But they were still efficient and friendly. The biggest downfall to this location is that it is at the Summit. So if my Apple device breaks in between Black Friday and Christmas Eve, I will likely just deal with a broken product till the new year to avoid the traffic! read more

Been to Apple stores all over the U.S. Never heard of the policy where they stop selling phones an hour before closing. Obviously this store makes so much money they can turn ppl away who wants to buy iPhones. The manager said it was a judgement call of his, not Apple. Needless to say, I and everyone I know in that area will avoid this place of business! read more

I don't usually Yelp for stores, but in certain situations I do. I came by the store today, the day after Christmas, to swap my wife's Apple Watch to a different color and size. I originally ordered the watch online so I called to make sure I could swap it in store. After being on hold for 20 minutes and being told yes, I assumed the place would be swarmed when I got there. Swarmed it was, but we were immediately greeted upon waking in and within 30 seconds we were being helped. There were legit 100+ customers in the store but seemingly just as many employees. We were in and out with no issues in under 10 minutes. The store was clearly prepared for a busy day and handled it really well. read more

Gabriela was so awesome. I was having issues with my iPad Pro and she just took care of it. She made everything hassle free. She told me she just got promoted and I say well deserved! Having to get your phone repaired is never a fun or ideal experience, but Talia and Nathan at this Apple Store made it as painless as possible! First of all, I had a reservation for the Genius Bar, and was seen almost immediately after checking in. Both Talia and Nathan were so warm and genuine, and they took time and care to understand my phone's issues and the options I had available. They checked in on me regularly during the diagnostic process so I was never in the dark, which I greatly appreciated. Nathan especially made a special effort to give me a resolution that day since I had driven from out of town. I'm very grateful to this store's commitment to excellent customer service and compassion and would highly recommend it! read more

I bought a new iPhone 11 Pro. It came with a scratch underneath the screen. Apple support hotline told me to go to a store and have it replaced. Well I went to the store and all employees "couldn't" see the issue. Of course, all of the sudden nobody sees it. I get it. You can't take it and fix it, when you don't admit there is something under the screen. read more

All of my devices are Apple, so I've spent plenty of time in this store. I honestly don't have a bad thing to say about it. Sure it gets crowded, but never so crowded that I wasn't helped in a reasonable manner or skipped over. My favorite part is the system to book appointments. For me, it's always insured my place in line with no problems. Once my name is called, the one on one attention and service I've received has been top notch. Beyond that, I love that you can pay the person that's helping you right there on the spot. Forget that whole system of being helped, picking something out, then having to wait in line to pay for it. I can't speak for everyone else's experiences, but mine have always been great. read more

I went inside store just to ask why a certain app was locking up. She (Maggy) tried to help by resetting my iPhone which didn't work. So no problem all was good. As I was about to leave she took it and reset EVERYTHANG!!!!!! I lost phone calls because it was reset to a tone I can't hear. All this was done without my permission. Last time I looked, she was hightailing it back to the shop so I couldn't catch her. Not Happy read more

I went here and was belittled by the employees here. I was told the phone case I bought had a one year warranty when I bought it. When I had a warranty issue I was told the case had no warranty. They really went out of their way to belittle me and make me feel small. They eventually just refused me even though apples warranty on their website clearly states all Apple products have a 1 year warranty. So now I have to buy a new phone case and I fell very bad about myself. read more

I'm visiting from Los Angeles and this was the best experience I've had at Apple ever. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, especially Keith who handled my AirPod issue swiftly and easily. All the employees I interacted with were top notch - one even wanted to get a speaker for outside to get some music going for the people waiting under the tent. My wait time was also minimal - I was in and out in 10 minutes. Congrats on having the most fun, professional and fast team out there! read more

I traveled to Birmingham Alabama for a weekend and ended up stopping here to purchase a new iPhone. The store was busy but I was helped right away and taken care of. Happy to see that they finally have a good system in place for appointments with the Genius Bar. No more waiting around wondering "why did I even make an appointment"? Nice looking place looks like a great place to buy airpods. BUT NO CALLING THEM BROKE BOIS

The most obnoxious store I've ever been in. There was no organization and when I asked a green-shirted employee to check in, she was arrogant and rude. I took my iPhone in to have the battery replaced. It's performance is no better than it was before so I seriously doubt they touched it. The only reason I'm not giving a one-star rating is because the store was clean. read more

So rating my visit here a 5 based on my most recent visit and my excitement to get my new device. Apple is keen on convenience and that's what you get and I got when I scheduled my visit before ha d selected a time that I could come, they text back letting me know when my device was ready. Walked in and Walked right out. Definitely can't complain about that. Reflecting back all of my visits have been more positive and productive than negative. If you schedule in advance, have a legitimate issue with a device that isn't self inflicted then they are very accommodating. read more

I will NEVER purchase another Apple Product again. When I bought my iPhone XS directly from Apple I purchased AppleCare+. My screen is cracked, and I drove over an hour to have it repaired under my AppleCare+. Because someone at Apple screwed up and logged my serial number incorrectly, the Apple Store is telling me there is nothing they can do for me today, after I have wasted my entire day driving here and waiting for my appointment. They say they have to submit a ticket to someone else and wait for a reply, and only THEN can I once again drive OVER AN HOUR to have my screen replaced. They are completely unwilling to do anything for me, even though I have the proof of purchase and the proof of AppleCare+ coverage. Apple has lost my business for good. I will be purchasing Androids for my entire family this week. This place is a JOKE. read more

I have never before been to an Apple store that only serviced customers by APPOINTMENT ONLY. I went in on several occasions to simply ask a consultant about my iPhone and Apple Care in order to switch out to a new phone due to outside damage. In other Apple stores in the past, I've been able to meet with an employee without an appointment, take care of business, and be satisfied with my time there. However, this particular store would NOT help me... I came in without an appointment three times to see if I could meet with someone about my Apple Care (something that would take 15 minutes of their time). In the midst of a slow business day, amongst available and bored employees chatting it up with their coworkers, SITTING DOWN DOING NOTHING I might add--I was told to "come back in an hour to an hour and a half." I did, of course. Same old story an hour later. Now I understand that this is the only store in Birmingham, so it's going to be busy. I get that. But every time I went online to schedule an appointment, they had ZERO availabilities for like a month. Seriously? Waiting two weeks to a month to simply trade my broken phone for a new one with Apple Care? BUT I was patient. I scheduled an appointment a MONTH later and FINALLY got a brand new phone. I am very disappointed with the service I received at this Apple Store. All they seem to care about is joking with their coworkers and waiting on "special appointments only." So instead of helping you, they push you from one person to another, because let's face it, you're in the way. When I first came in, I was reffered to 3 to 4 employees. Do you all even know what you're doing?? Then I was finally told I could be helped by "appointment only." In my opinion, that's sorry service coming from Apple, a company known for their quality products and services. Before I moved to Birmingham, I lived in Oklahoma, where the closest and ONLY Apple store was in Tulsa at Woodland Hills mall. The only one in Oklahoma besides OKC! EVERY TIME I went there, without and appointment, jammed with a ton of people, I was always helped and would be done with my issues in around 20-30 minutes. They were willing to help, regardless of appointments. I thought the south would be more hospitable and kind. I guess I thought wrong. read more

All I can say is some people in this store are rude!, being said, I have to come down to have my I watch pair, I understand about multi tasking but isn't you have to finish one customer before you jump into another customer, did not even bother to tell me to go and register before I was sent to the technicians table. So went to register but the guy who will take your name give a run down on how busy and I have to wait for another hour or so, not even bother to ask my name and register, but oh...he wants me to browse and see their merchandize, as far as pairing my I watch, I just have to leave.
