The technician show me the process and told me hat I have to bring my LAPTOP, I was provided witha second appointment July 23 10 10am. When I show up with my laptop and the apple classic and nano i was told ha can not be done without even looking. I had to give it a 3 star rating because although the Apple guy was very knowledgeable, I had to ask 2 other Apple staff members 'who were busy discussing store things' before actually getting a third guy to flag another one who completely walked by me...seems odd when I know for a fact, actually having worked for Apple, that the store is really just a sandbox for people to hang out in so they will want to purchase. It kind of felt like they either thought I didn't speak English, which is pretty racist because I am a visible minority or I didn't have any money, which is elitist. If your goal is to have people use and eventually buy your product then make them feel invited in your showrooms or put up a sign that says 'we only will say hi to average looking caucasians' read more

Friendly but incompetent. My wife was told her iPad keyboard replacement was covered under warranty, and it would be a five minute wait. After 25 minutes waiting for them to "look" for a replacement, they returned to tell her it was in fact not covered under warranty. The staff proceeded to argue with each other over whether it was covered or not, one staff member "googled" it, and it was inconclusive. They promised to email her the final decision. That didn't happen, and when my wife called the store to ask about it, they told her the issue was resolved and they had told her it wasn't covered. She denied this was what she had been told, at which point they came very close to calling her a liar. My wife is very smart, has a perfect memory and she never lies. They offered her a small discount on a new keyboard. Nice people, but incompetent. This was not the first time she had trouble with this store. When she brought in her MacBook 2016 for repair, it took them THREE MONTHS to get it back to her. They said they were waiting for Apple in California to help them with a problem. Nobody seems to know what they are doing here. The store is poorly managed and staff are not skilled at solving problems for customers. Their biggest sin is not that they didn't fix our problems, it's that they wasted hours and days of our time. Awful. read more

Ok ok, I will admit I'm compromised by the fact, I'm not part of the Sect. I'll admit a couple of good point that makes up for it. 1) Good service 2) Available and well trained staff 3) Clean design. Now the negative part, for me, off course: 1)Too darn expensive. 90$ with tax) for an adaptor ? Really? It's like half of the price for regular PC, Laptop. 2): Where's the cash? I had to wait, then ask, then in the middle, in the Zen, empty place, there they are! -- Isn't it a little bit sketchy that somebody, from behind, can mug you or suprise you and get the cash and take a run for it ? Anyway, maybe I just have a criminal mind, but anyway. 3) I had issue in the past with Apple product. It's close source and apple only. A Blessing and a Curse you will say, but I think it's more a curse then a blessing, again personnal opinion here. Basically, I'm just not part from the Sect. Ok ok, Je dois l'admettre, je dois me compromettre en disant que je ne suis pas un membre actif de la Secte Apple. En toute honnêteté, j'ai plusieurs points positifs. 1) Bon service 2) Employé disponible et bien entrainé. 3) Beau Design pour un magasin propre et épurer. Maintenant mes points négatifs: 1) C'est vraiment trop cher. 90$ pour un adaptateur ? C'est genre la moitié du prix pour des produits PC ou un Laptop régulier. 2) Où sont les caisses? J'ai attendu 4-5 minutes pour me faire dire, vous cherchez les caisses? elles sont là au centre. Au centre? Vraiment? Il me semble que ça soit un peu dangereux. Si quelqu'un, lorsque le commis ouvre la caisse, le menace d'une arme et part avec le contenu de la caisse, il peut le prendre rapidement, vite fait bien fait. J'imagine que j'ai p-e un peu un esprit criminel pour penser moindrement à ça , mais le fait est que c'est un peu confondant. 3) J'ai eu dans le passé des produits avec les produits que j'ai acheté qui ont brisé sans raison. De plus c'est du contenue qui une fois acheté est exclusivement compatible avec des produits Mac. C'est une épée à double tranchant, je l'admets, mais je préfère de loin les produits open-source. The most horrible customer service ever! The "Greeter" was the most condescending female I have met in a very long time. Basically she made it clear to us that we would only be able to purchase these coveted airpods whenever they decide to make them available. Too bad for us..I have heard many such stories from others but decided to give apple a chance and buy an apple product for the first time as a gift ...well this esteemed employee just gave me the personal experience I needed to continue on as before and never give apple a penny....how condescending and rude....managers screen your employees better and give them better scripts. I fund this store has a very friendly and helpful staff! My only critique is that the service is very slow! You can go in there for one question with an associate and you are often left waiting because they are serving 3 people at the same time. The associates at the genius bar again ver nice however they try to rush you off and the client often feel leaving confused resulting in yet another visit. read more

Bought a Fitbit for my wife that after a few weeks was not working properly. Had contacted Fitbit support who while trying to help basically told me to go see the Apple store where I bought it. I tell you, there is a reason why I gave this place 5 Stars. Walked in, spoke to a Blue shirt, explained situation and 5 minutes later walked out with a new Fitbit. Apple Fairview Pointe Claire is a strange place that's getting stranger. I went in 4-5 times when replacing my old apple laptop pro. Got 4-5 different answers. Only 1 out of the 5 was informative...and accurate. I am actually being generous with 2 stars because it only deserves one. Computer competition has improved enormously whereas Apple has the same problems and Yosemite stinks. The world remains largely dependent on Microsoft and years later, Apple still can't produce good software. Why?Really what happened to: Think Different???? Fairview is usually very busy, and now the staff no longer wears name tags -- big mistake. Management needs to monitor for quality -- it's like they don't really care anymore- The cache of the Apple brand is what they're selling, no longer a difference in Quality. Really disappointing -- and remember I've been on Apple for the last 5 years. But now, I'll stick to MS computers at a small fraction of the price for performance reasons. read more

The customer service at this location is mediocre at best. I have better luck with customer service over the phone to get a replacement for a defective unit than with the customer service at this particular store. Seriously if you have any issues with an apple device you are better off calling apple than going to this store. read more

The absolute worst service I have ever seen! My cousin went to get his iPhone fixed at this store and I was shocked at the service. The staff was rude and condescending, including the manager and he spent close to 5 hours trying to get his phone fixed. For me this is particularly galling considering the amazing service I have received at Apple stores across the country and in the UK. I had been singing Apple's praises for years and he finally decided to try one product and it turns out to be defective (way to make me look bad Apple). In the past Apple has been great about swapping out a defective product for me which to be fair, doesn't happen often. So imagine my surprise when he went there for the second time in the space of a few months with the same problem and they keep coming up with short term solutions. It seems as if they are trying to wait out his warranty so he will be either stuck with a terrible phone or be forced to buy a new one. This is disappointing as one expects better from Apple. I would suggest that they give their staff at this location some customer service training! I can safely say it is highly unlikely my cousin will be buying another apple product after this experience. read more
